This is most definitely nowhere near as impressive as most of the creations on this forum. However, I am proud of it because it is the largest structure I have ever made legitimately in Minecraft (No console or creative mode. ALL materials were gathered). It rests atop a hill with a snow forest in the background. The minecart tracks go to a nearby village which my friend lives in (even though I made the house MORE than large enough for the both of us).
The house has two huge bedrooms, each of which could easily be split into 4 moderately sized bedrooms. The first level has a storage room, crafting table and furnace, etc. The second level is the bedrooms. Each room has a large watch tower with 270° viewing angle. I believe it took approximately three in-game weeks to build, consisting of gathering materials and food, flattening the hilltop, and building the house.
I decided not to add embellishments to the exterior because I had already cut down nearly every ordinary tree in the area, including a large number which I had planted myself. Plus it is, after all, a survival map house and does not need to be pretty.
Wow you're extremely talented. You know I'm currently hosting a contest where you have to build a city. I'd love to see you compete in it. Its a group contest where you work with 2 other friends. Entry fee is $5 per person but the prize is $90! PM me if you have any questions!
