Rumsey, could you possible release what blocks are connected to what textures in WoW? I would really like to make a WoW texture pack for the minecraft map but it is hard to choose the textures and I think it would be easier if I knew what textures go with which block.

The "block texture" in the third column is an optional 8x8 texture encoded in base 64. If you're really ambitious, you can decode it with this bit of Java code: https://gist.github.com/4044166

Oh my God thank you so much! I can see why this took you so long, your dedication is amazing! Thanks for this awesome map and info I will start working on the texture pack this weekend!
And I must say, those are a lot of textures. I will probably just take the first texture for each block. I don't think it should take too long with Ctrl+F
Not to sound demanding but could you plz try one with Bioshock as I think that would be cool if it is possible and compatible with the software
Also amazing map
I believe there are a few Bioshock themed maps already, e.g.
Unfortunately, there's no easy way to use my software on other games, since every game has a unique file format. It would require writing a new converter, or at least half of one.
@Rumsey Awesome work! This would have been difficult I can tell as a programmer in training. I was wondering why the insides of the smaller buildings are such a mess and if there is any plans to do any touch ups by hand/mouse? This would go amazingly with minecraft 1.4 with the new stair block mechanics.

I hate to keep pestering you Rumsey, but do you recommend any method of finding the textures? Like a program that shows a list of all of the textures?

The mapping is stored in two flat text files:
terrain.txt: https://gist.github.com/4044110
columns: 1. texture, 2. block id, 3. unused, 4. biome id, 5. priority
materials.txt: https://gist.github.com/4044108

I haven't had that exact problem, but I know that 1.3.2 lighting would sometimes act strangely when in large forested areas.

[Sorry for any bad spelling]

I used Ladik's MPQ Editor to extract blp files, then used a program called BLP2PNG to convert them to png format.
I introduce this video:
It shows a very good cinematic "Crafting Azeroth" created by me. There are also, but in Spanish, an installation tutorial and a review of the map.
Hope you like the cinematic!
