sounds really cool. Although, how can you make it a 1:1 scale when there is no exact measurements anywhere for Dante's version of Hell and the nine circles?

Making everything huuuuuugggeeee. You're right, there is no measurements, so we just have to go large. Very large.
EDIT: Before anyone says the hellgate is just a giant lava pit, it's actually a winding road full of mobs that attack you and puzzles.
Pfeww, two days of hard work and Acheron is nearly done.
It's separated into 3 areas. The Vestibule, which is water, high cliffs, and a terrifying maze. You need to locate 3 levers to open the gate between the Vestibule and Charon's Passage.
The next area, Charon's Passage, is really just Charon's hellport. Please note he is a lot smaller than in the game, but still over 64 blocks long. You must sneak aboard him and solve a few puzzles.
The next part, Ferryman, takes place when Charon has departed. You make your way to the main deck, Charon notices you and the first boss battle ensues.
Lets just say you blowup Charon's face and sail him to Limbo.
This project is turning out great. Hopefully we'll get some more recognition soon.
Looking at all the epic "achievements" Done so far... then seeing the "6% Done" In the title desc lol Really cool, never played the game but im sure it would make a good RPg server
The total playtime is now 1-2 hours depending on how good you are. There is now a few systems within the tour.
Virgil - Much like in the poem, Virgil describes each circle you enter. However, he also gives you hints and objectives. Better listen to him.
(Conscience) - This is how you get objectives when you're far away from Virgil.
(Chapter) - This is how you keep progress. It works like this:
CURRENT OBJECTIVE - PREVIOUS OBJECTIVE - CIRCLE
E.g.:
Ferryman - Charon's Passage - Vestibule
Also, at the end of each circle, or middle for the HUGE circles, you will get a warp name. This is your "checkpoint" in case you die. Also at the end of each circle is a crafting table and an enchantment table. Remember to keep any diamonds you find :wink.gif:
In other news, we need a texture packer. I suppose you could ask Steelfeathers to use his texture pack a base, but the textures we need are:
A bloody block.
Guts and assorted gluttony blocks.
New icy blocks.
New blocks for heresy.
A full cloud covering, like in last days, but with dark grey clouds instead of greenish.
Please do not post in this one. The new thread is in creative, as it fits in there much better than here.
Regards, Witchy.
Hellgate is finished, the dark forest is being finalized. New pictures are going up and Acheron is nearly done.
This is going to be one of the most awesome things ever in MC. Trust me.
Finalized dark forest pic.
Overlooking the hellgate.
Side of the hellgate.
Judas point, an easter egg.
Keep in my mind the hellgate is very small compared to the actual circles. Also, a vidya will be up soon.

The Vestibule: Length of time to complete this chapter is about 30-50 minutes.
Charon's Passage: Length of time is about 10-20 minutes.
Ferryman: The first boss battle.
