Well, I felt like showing some of what I do in Minecraft. I've been playing on a PVP server a lot recently, but in my single player life I built this. A lot of it was accomplished with Stone tools (I only managed to get iron when I'd almost finished with the farm and needed water buckets). I know it's not as spectacular as other things on this forum, but at least it's pretty.
Anyways, without further ado, here are the pictures:
Outside
The roof/pool.
The interior. The chests DO work that way (Backwards wooden stairs ontop). The ladder down to the farm is to the right of the chests.
The inside of the glass domes.
And this is the farm.
Any comments and criticism are welcome. I haven't had a lot of time to devote to building beautiful things recently, so I'm always looking to grow in that area.
I consider pure cobble and wood houses pretty low on the attractiveness scale so I'll move past that and say that the design of your house is actually really good. If I had a choice to live in a real life version of it I would.
If you replaced the wood with snow or wool blocks I think it would look like a really good contemporary design dwelling.

:tongue.gif: It's not full wood, most of the smooth stone was deliberately placed. (But alas, I like to frame everything and therefor I do not do too well with small rooms...)
But also thanks for the compliment. I'm personally not a huge fan of the snow/wool contemporary design homes as they just feel weird to be in/look at. It just doesn't feel right to me having a home built out of sheep fur and I'm no eskimo. I do believe that we need to get a white stone building block eventually (Marble?) as it would make cntemporary design homes a lot easier to make and also a lot better in some ways.

BTW, what texture pack is that? It looks amazing.
Glad you liked it, I was worried that no one was interested. :tongue.gif:
EDIT: Here you are: http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/sphax-purebdcraft-46664/
Thanks,i'll check it out.
Thanks. :biggrin.gif:
any chance of releasing it?
You'd like me to upload the file? I can do that, if anyone's still interested.
