Haven't been working on the town much recently as i started playing world of Warcraft again, damn that game to hell for being so addictive!
But here's a few screenshots from a while back i had rotting away in my screenshot folder.
Castle WiP before I added it to the town.
Night time shot of the Church.
Interiors
Also a lot of the houses in the town have fully decorated interiors so I thought i would dump a few pictures of some random houses.

Don't forget, download links for the world can be found in the main post!!
Might not be anymore updates for a while till i find some motivation to start building some stuff, but as soon as i get something done ill be posting it here.
Im being a bit of an idiot but after downloading the map how can i get on it?
Instructions:
To play the downloaded world first un-zip the file using a program such as WinRAR or WinZip, you can unzip the file anywhere for now.
This should make a folder named "Oddworld-Medieval", you want to place this folder in your minecraft game folder with your other save files.
If your un-sure on how to find your Minecraft game folder follow these steps (for windows):
1. click the "start" button down the bottom left of your screen.
2. In the search box type %appdata% and click the folder named "roaming"
3. In this "roaming" folder should be your minecraft folder named .minecraft
4. In here you will find a folder named "saves" that should have all your worlds in there, if you would like to play my world all you need to do is drag and drop the "oddworld-medieval" folder into it.
If you still have problems leave me another comment or message me and ill try and help out best I can.
Oh my gawd. You did all that by yourself? Off the top of your mind, or did you use references?
Most of the town was built off the top of my head, the only kind of references used was before I built something like the castle I'd just Google random pictures to get a rough idea of what I wanted to build.
I was also inspired by alot of other minecraft builds id seen on these forums or just around other sites in general. I think I mentioned one of them being Cynicis' Crown of Kalin map, you can find his thread here Crown Of Kalin .
(Also added all the new pictures to my first post)
woah, really cool town!:Diamond:
i like how the walls are seperating the houses and buildings into different sections
one more thing, is this your first town?

This is my second town I have built.
The first one was a bit too perfect and flat and didnt feel like a real town at all, so after looking at some medieval towns and being a bit of a rpg fan i decided to start this new one
Hi looks like a great city. unfortuntley i am having some trouble downloading this map. Using winrar i followed all the steps fine until i had to drag it into the saves folder.A draggable folder called oddsworld hasn't come up. There are just some folders called data and region and whatnot. Any suggestions or solutions anyone?
Very Nice, I am building something similar, except in a roman/greek style. My only crit would be that the rooftops all seem too uniform, in real medieval life, there would be different types, like mudbrick, thatch, stone etc.
Otherwise, Its fantastic. Keep up the good work :-)
I am also doing a Roman theme :wink.gif:
However this city is very good indeed, although the houses seem a little to similar.

Haha thanks! It's ironic because I have actually just stopped playing minecraft because I've started playing WoW again.

Glass Dome Project
The texturepack is a personal compilation I made containing mostly John Smiths and Doku's packs with lots of bits and bats from other packs too.
That's exactly what I wanted to hear!
I tried building the whole place while making it fun to explore at the same time so i added plenty of secret tunnels/doors/chests etc etc.
I'm kinda sad I stopped working on it now, as I had so many more ideas to add such as items and armors scattered about in all the secret chest's.
