My next project is a cliff side village near my server's spawn.
Here's the location after removing two large floating structures:
This is what it looks like currently. Fenced off the top and added a farm area above the right most waterfall; the other two come from an aqueduct system I'm finishing. They're just for aesthetics. After I finish the system, it's on to the village proper.
While not quite as impressive as many structures people have built in minecraft, I happen to think the farm I'm working on building is quite pretty :happy.gif:
I still need to make a tree farm off to the side. Perhaps eventually Notch'll put in apple trees, and I can have an orchard, too.
First post here, so I figure I'll start it off in this thread showing off my work so far. Currently working on a fortress to protect some sort of shrine or temple, and right now the walls are completed:
I made some creeper ruins on the current map I'm playing on. This screenshot was taken with the Wild Grass mod, Misa's texturepack, and the shader mod to get bump mapping. I only edited out the sky in photoshop, and gave it some small effects to give it a nice look.
It's still a WIP. I plan to dome the top with glass, and dig the "moat" all the way to bedrock. I'll have floating island of lava, water, and a nether portal island.
This creeper was a very strong swimmer. I watched him from inside the trap for over 2 minutes jumping out of the water before he finally got pulled under and drowned. I was concerned he might find one of the ladders on the outside at each end of the trap (they've done this before), but he didn't do so.
This trap is identical to the one on the east side of my house. Just as soon as he got pulled under, it began to rain for the second time in as many days.
My current SMP tower. There are three islands naturally, each of which I hollowed out well below the water line, and connected all three with a grassy, flowery meadow with trees.
My first shared screenshot :biggrin.gif:
I built this after watching a tutorial but this is my own version... Still working on the area around the building.
This is a picture of a single tree on a very skinny mountain (what else would you call it lol) that is super tall--had to wait for the clouds to pass to take the screenie :tongue.gif: My Pegasus approves btw...
This phoenix have gone through a reincarnation: the old smaller uglier version of it got burn by fire when server plugins gone broken. The serpent took weeks? months? to finish because I was busy with work and making the body of the serpent were so tricky. At the end I cheated here and there with worldedit copy paste, and it still looks awkward... Applied a lot of lessons from featherblade@thevoxelbox when making the serpent. Some revision on the phoenix also came from featherblade's constructive criticism. While the phoenix originally fighting the two headed dragon, the fight with serpent looks a lot more appropriate.

I'm actually trying to build Habitat 67 from Marc-Drouin Quay on the Saint Lawrence River near Montréal. They are residences built for the 1967 International and Universal Exposition. I'm building a bit less than 1/6 of the actual building but I'm pretty close to a 1:1 scale (real building is in feets and minecraft is in meters). I will eventually try to use it as a residence for players in my SMP server (should fit 15-20 people in.)
Google Habitat 67 for real pictures.
This is what mine look like:
I'm missing some actual pictures of the floors and from the back of the building to be able to complete it. I used zombe fly mod for contruction and TMI for the materials, but I'm still proud of what I've bone.
Mobs camping out in front of your doors at night? Can't attack them through the windows any more? Just put up a couple of dispenser traps. That'll teach those pesky creepers.
I have two such traps at both sides of the doors outside my castle. I have put them on all the ground level doors (2 on the east, 2 on the west). Each is stocked with 128 arrows.
Speaking of creepers, here we go again. Another strong swimmer resisting my drowning trap. This one kept popping back above water, even when pulled under almost to the bottom once. Finally after nearly an entire day, he got pulled to the bottom and drowned. Too bad he had no gunpowder.
Edit: LOL at my post count. It was Mathematical Dessert.

My latest house
My buddies house across the water from mine
His other WIP modern house
Entrance to my underground city, which I have put on pause
Andddd part of what I have done so far with my cave city thingy
My house with a stone floor with lookout towers (I mostly made them to protect my house from lightning.)
Inside of my house.
A bridge that I made for my mine carts.
A mining outpost that I just recently finished.
An ass load of mobs coming to eat my face off.
and i look to my left
The small town my friend and i are building. I did the town hall.
A ton of sand just waiting to fall. Don't mind the rain.
My house. :smile.gif: Woodenslabs for fireproof.

Also, messed up grass.

I also have a branch mine underneath, and ran into the ultimate ore deposit:

Yes, that's every ore in one clump. I just mined away the stone around it.

Underground Squids FTW
This is some awesome landscapes. Do you know the seed?
A CASTLE in one of my worlds.
As for the first picture what can I do with that room? Please give me a idea or 2.
