This is my first Minecraft build that I have invested time into planning, as opposed to just mining/building small areas. I worked up floor plans in AutoCAD, took some materials from base on my favorite save and headed out to find a good place to build. Right now I have the stage one of the floor plan (basic square without wings or windows), the front façade almost finished (sans windows, the fountain on the right side and some tweaks to the front roof) and am working on roofing the house. I wanted to get the opinion of other builders on this project. I am happy with where it is headed so far and am thinking of designing a small village after completion. Originally I wanted to wrap the house in cobblestone as an accent and have smooth stone as the primary block, but I love the Zelda texture pack and cobblestone looks good in my opinion I may wrap in smooth stone with smooth stone columns later.
Is that birch you used for the interior walls? I likes it!
no it is just wooden planks. I plan on using wooden blocks either inside or on some of the buildings I'd like to design/build for the village below. Thanks al for the compliments, I've seen some truly awesome stuff, it's exciting to invest time int a project and have people like it.
I agree its awesome but it would be even better if you posted some footnotes like if the roof is made out of stairs or not how many block are there between the floors and so on... But i do agree the planning and design itself is awesome...
