Alright! now THAT's the way you make a battlecruiser!
I saw a few battlecruisers on youtube, and all of them were tiny and interior-less or hollow.
I was planning on making one, but there aren't any blueprints of that thing, no info about its size or anything so I just thought "Ahhh... forget it." and decided to stick to building submarines. :Pig:(I'm making a map with realistic fully accessible subs)
Thank you overfloater.
You know, it's always good to know masterpieces built with minecraft.
Your works are fantastic, especially the sub.
You interior is quite plausible, and the idea of cutting along sagittal plane was really nice.
I look forward to your next work!
I am adding some of in-game pictures of my battlecruiser.
BTW, Is there any way to upload pics directly from my hard disc drive?
Since I don't find any button up there with upload option, so I keep upload to my blog instead to give them a link address.
If anyone knows, please let me know.
Thank you all for the comments!
I made two gates for shuttle ship, one at each wing of the ship.
Inside the wing will be hangar, control tower(front side, maybe back side also), etc.
Getting few detailed model of 'dropships' inside would be nice if possible, but sadly it is not likely to happen because of the scale I gave to the entire work. (one block=1m^3)
So, shuttles and siege tanks will have to be very simple form.
Control center near hangar deck.
Below the picture you can see approximate location of changed part.
(Of course, left wing of the ship have also changed like this.)
This is a picture which indicates viewpoint vector [>>-i>] of 5 main pictures below.
I know it's quite lousy but it was the best I can do
I did this because during uploading I had hard time recognizing locations of these few-minutes-ago-taken screenshots.
These are the 5 main pictures of what I've done today. You can check these with red-arrowed picture.
Thank you nativeaura for your comment.
Frankly, I am not satisfied with today's work, it needs to be fixed lot more.
Tank--definitely it doesn't look like what it is in the original Starcraft series but it seems that it's almost impossible to make detailed and similar-shaped model in this size.
Prototype(Right-gray one) and test models through 001~004. After making ship #001, I thought it would be nice to work in relief by making tiles surrounding the number half-size, but since all of the half-sized blocks have near-white color, the numbers has to be in a dark color to maintain legibility -- which doesn't match the color used in my main ship. So I decided to stick with the original plan.
Test model 001 and hangar deck entrance. There is enough space between these two ships.
Test model 002(barely shows its number) is loading 2 tanks in hangar deck and another one is leaving.
Yeah-need some light!
