Hi guys, I'm new here.
I originally built a small UNSC Frigate (Which can be seen as the smaller one in the pictures), but then I was inspired to go large scale with it. Still gotta work in the interior.
Let me know what you think!
Here's an actual picture of a UNSC Frigate for comparison:
HOW TO MAKE YOUR MOON PLANET REACH.
First, download this picture:
Then click Start --> Run (type in %appdata%) and hit enter. Navigate to your ".minecraft" folder. Now navigate to the "bin" folder.
Now open up "Minecraft.jar" with winrar or 7zip (whatever you have). Now find the folder in the archive called "terrain". Inside of that folder you should find two files : One named "sun.png" and "moon.png".
Simply replace the "moon.png" in the folder with the one that you downloaded from this post. Close the archive and play the game! That's it! You can also do the same to the sun if you want.
Got some more of it done. Keeping it perfectly symmetrical is proving to be time consuming. lol
It's still a LONG way from being done, so be easy on it. It's probably going to be another 10-15 blocks longer when it's finished. It's already nearly double the length of the original one.
Another update. Got a good bit done. Did some work on the interior too.
The end of it: That entire giant room is going to be turned into multiple floors, including a floor that goes to the flight deck. As you can see, I have a lot of work to do to the right side of the frigate still.
Here's where you can see out of the ship from a room situated in the middle of the ship:
Here's the inside of that room:
You can also see the barrel of the MAC running along the ceiling.
Still lots more do be done unfortunately!
Sleep doesn't sound like a bad idea at this point. So I'll get more done tomorrow.
Looks like a spartan LAZOR! Other than that, though, good work. I'm quite impressed. However, I have low standards. I'm still in my hidey hole and I've mined diamond.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
All I can tell you about zis next procedure is zat it will be...excruciating!
At this point, the only exterior things that need to be done is the right rear. It's going to take a while because it's going to be perfectly symmetrical and the completed side is quite complicated.
500+ views, barely any replies. Not many Halo fans out there I see!
Anyway: Got more of the tail end done. She's all symmetrical now! So far I've put about 13 hours of work into this. Still gotta do the rear thrusters and the interior.
I don't think I can call it the UNSC Savannah now... Mainly because I designed the entire rear end a lot differently.
Any suggestions for what I should name this beast?
Nice, and all, needs more details, but I suppose having all your building materials be as big as they are, that's fairly hard. But one thing I will probably ask a billion times: (but not on THIS topic.)

It should look like this in-game:
Enjoy!
I know, the little one was thrown together relatively quickly.
I used stone slabs mainly. They were closest to the color and texture I wanted.
Thanks! I built it more for "decorating the horizon" more than anything. It does have 3 floors that can be explored, but nothing too amazing.
I plan on building a more detailed version soon. (roughly 2x larger than this one.)
This one is 58 blocks long, 18 blocks wide, and 17 blocks high. So it's gonna be rather large.
JUST the front nose of the new one is already longer than the entire other one.
You can't use wool? Otherwise, looks good so far

I'll see what I can do with that once the front nose is actually finished. I'm actually using black-wool on the inside detailing of the nose.
This is going to take a lot longer than I anticipated. This thing is massive.
Jeez, even the bigger one? How high are your standards?
