Our world.
Our Minecraft world.
I mean, it may be comprised entirely of blocks, but hell.
I think it deserves a shot at being round.
Last one was made before I perfected it, so it's not as great as the others. I would gladly create these for others, y'know, if you'd want one. (Also, I wasn't sure if this should be in screenshots or not. My bad if it's in the wrong place.)

He did it like how people do the same here on earth, it's a wrapping technique, often used with photography that gives the illusion of creating a round planet. It involves using a panorama as the base and doing such and such a process to get it to look like the OP.
I now feel like a giant nerd cause I learned this from the astronomy picture of the day. (not today's entry but a previous one)
The problem with making panos from Minecraft screenshots is the distortion caused by the typically wide Minecraft view area. The stuff at the sides is really stretched out, and doesn't line up properly. What's best is to run in a window and make the window itself narrower, so that it's more of a vertical view than a wide horizontal view. Take your screenshots that way and the photomerge function should have a better time of it, or use a real panorama app like Auto Pano Pro which can handle more extreme cases of distortion, but it's better to have less distorted shots to begin with.
Once you have the panorama set up, you can then use the polar projection function in photoshop to create your "little planets".
Pretty cool pics, by the way, nicely done.

Yea I I took my pictures with small window. :smile.gif: Fixed my problem by taking new screenshots. So Ive done my first panorama picture ever. I may try to use a better panorama program thought.

As someone said you can do this by using photoshop to wrap around a panorama picture of MC.
To OP: You inspired me to do this with my own map! :tongue.gif:
EDIT: I think taking the panorama picture is the tricky part ain't it? Photoshop's photomerge is having hard time analyzing the pictures :|
