Here's a tip when deciding on windows for a tower. It is only functional if you are elevated.

In this example you will notice that Steve does not have a very large angle of vision. How can we improve on that?
[]
[]
A halfstep! Genius! Now he can see those pesky creepers down below. But wait, If the height to distance ratio is less then 45% you can't see them. (IE stuff that is close to your tower is unable to be seen.)
[]
[]
[] <----Steve is 50% lower then displayed due to half step.
[]
Sheer Genius! Now he can see pesky creepers that are even closer to his tower and the halfstep means he still can't fall!
This is only useful if you don't want to use glass in your design. Glass floor just makes it too easy.

First of all, that is AMAZING! Once I get minecraft I'm going to begin working on a Kingdom. Also, you should build an underground dungeon system. Hidden entrances at random places across the world, all leading into an enourmous underground cave system full of mines and pit traps. Then if you have a server on and other people are fighting you, you can lead them into the tunnel and get them to fall into the traps.

I was thinking of doing a Crypt that sort of follows what you are saying...
Edit; I'm taking a break from building the castle to connect my two bases with a road. What with the whole map thing coming up.

Now as some of you might know I have been building a road going from my original base to my new Castle base.
This is a picture of a long stretch of road. Probably the least eventful part.
This is the entrance to the farm I'm making...I think I overdid it with the trees.
And this is the farm. Nice and big.
The road has only one turn. From it you can just see the start of my original base if on far graphics.
Oh...and this part is not finished.
And this... I really like this part. You got the bridge with a waterfall going under it going from one pond to the other. While walking on the bridge you have the overhanging trees putting you in the shade.

That's a hideously ugly road. But nice farm.
Side note to obnoxious posters: Note how, when I quote a post full of pictures, I edit the pictures out so the computer doesn't load them twice and people don't have to scroll past them!

Ya...I don't like the road itself either. I wanted it to be halfsteps...but that only left me with 4 options. Sandstone and smoothstone are much to expensive on my current budget so it was either cobble or wood. I chose cobble. In hindsight...plank halfsteps might have looked better. In that first picture I'm gonna make that section a covered bridge but for the rest of the road...any suggestions?(other then a complete material swap)

Maybe accent the sides with planks, and then have periodic log pillars? Fences?
I'm not clicking those links and please don't post unrelated stuff in my thread.

I have no suggestion or anything (I doubt my suggestions would add much to your castle haha)
I just wanted to say that this is a true work of art.
and whats that glitch yo talk about?
Hiding in this picture?
That's nothing. Just Heropine. >.> <.< >.>
And the glitch is the stairs visual bug.
