What do you mean cheating? Hacking in stuff with Invedit? Or MCedit?
That does make it a lot more impressive, knowing that you harvested the wool and all that without resorting to bringing it in.
That's a lot of sheep.
If you mean switching to Peaceful for the duration of building it, that's not cheating.

Nice. My friend did the same thing on our SMP server, though I can't take screenshots at the moment because it's griefday. In case this causes some inspiration, he made the mouth a portal and had lava flowing out of it.

Never used any third-party programs like Invedit or Mcedit.
Always stayed in Normal Difficulty
Before the update I had stockpiled a whole lot of wool to make a lighthouse.
At day time I would wander around looking for sheep. Back by nightfall.
I think the most wool I got in one day was 60 something. Average at 30.
Some days I would go looking for squids for their ink to make the varying shades of gray.
At night time I would assemble parts of it with the wool I obtained on the previous day. Sometimes punch a few sheep that spawned in my base. Couldn't go outside 'cuz of the mobs.
Only the tentacles remain to do...
I have never switched to peaceful or used -edits because I feel that games need limitations. God mode or "fun mode" as some people say is, in my opinion, not very fun. It also lowers the 'Epic' factor if you have infinite resources at your disposal.

Now these points of data make a beautiful line...
Ok, now I'm angry. I was examining some ghasts from my Nether viewing room to see how I should do the tentacles and determined that the tentacles are attached in between the pixels. >.< Only way to make them attach correctly would be to double the size of my ghast...well it was the first idea I came up with. That would increase the cost of the body by 4416 wool but what would the awesome factor increase by?

I have 2 suggestions
Use netherrack to make a giant fireball.
Hack in a creeper spawner (or zombie-pigman) and put it inside the ghast.

After 10:30 PST, my IQ drops to around that of a shovel, please disregard anything I say after aforementioned time, it will likely not make any sense, and is best ignored.
Damn, assassin10, that looks even more impressive in the daytime! Spot on!
That sucks about the tentacles, but don't let it drag ya down. It's a tiny detail and most wouldn't notice/care. Also, it seems that most of the mod/hack comments didn't read your description. LOL. It's an awesome work of art, man.
Cheers!

Ah. I see.
I disagree that Peaceful is God Mode or Fun Mode though. But if we agreed on everything, it would be boring. :smile.gif:
But regardless, I find it vastly impressive you pulled that off on Normal. With Monsters, who could ruin your day.
For that I give you props. I wish I could even begin to build something as awesome as that.
The only thing I ever made that took awhile was a very long minecart track, and a walled in base that connected two portals in the nether. Boy did that take awhile.

I'm gonna try and keep it away from fire because, unlike its Nether counterpart, it is very flammable.

Eh, it'll still look epic.

So I build the thing without any hacks; putting my blood, sweat, and wool into it; and you tell me to hack in a spawner!??!?!?!

OVER 9000!!!
No really, that would be even cooler. Hope to see this finished.
lol :tongue.gif:
impossible without peaceful though... One ball and the whole thing is gone.
