Inside-Out Castle. The Idea is building from the inside out. Why you might ask? Simple! When building from the outside in you usually end up with a uniform and aesthetically pleasing exterior while the interior is sort of...lacking. By building as I am you can make each room as big as you want and as uniform/nonuniform as you want. It also means that you can make secret passages a whole lot easier. It's almost stupid not to put in secret passages. With this method you get a more nonuniform exterior which some people prefer to have.
How do you go about making this? Easy!
First you build the largest rooms that you will have. They don't have to be right next to eachother and it is a good idea if they aren't.
Then you build the medium rooms. These should fill in some of the gaps.
Then you build the exterior "shell" and anything associated with the outside: Towers, walls, gardens, etc.
Lastly you build the smaller rooms and secret passages.
The one problem that I find is windows. The interior is pretty much separated from the outside.
I apologize for the disastrous appearance of this first post. Random pictures all over the place and all that. Further down you'll find other pictures that have nothing to do with the title. Just keep with it.

You don't fall in the cracks which is good but if items fall in the cracks...you can't get them back very easily.

THE KITCHEN
For when you need to cook a LOT of ham.
For when you need to store a LOT of ham.
Also infinite water.
DINING HALL
Table; Yes? No? Maybe?
This picture is of my dining hall as it is at the moment.
You are viewing it from the balcony.
Off to the right you can see part of the bar.
At the moment it is also my bedroom. No monsters have awoken me yet. :tongue.gif:
I am building a grand castle to compliment my town. I am building it from the inside out so that no matter how big it gets I can still go bigger. Currently I have just one room done; the little arena shown below....
Here you see the arena with its zombie occupants. Two entrance ways to it. One for teh zombies and one for the challenger.
Here is the mob spawner that powers my arena. Zombies spawn and the water pulls them to.....
And no, I did not hack that spawner in. And no, I did not 'get lucky'. I found the spawner and then built my castle around it.
here. This pulls the mobs right up to the far side of the door seen in pic #1
Here is it in all its glory. Wish I made it bigger though.
Increased the fanciness.
At the Human-side entrance to the arena.
100% legit.
I have designed the ULTIMATE WALL DESIGN!!!! It's Fancy, Stylish, 100% Spiderproof!!! The Perfect Combo of Function and Purpose.
Image of it from far off.
Fire under the floor. Serves two purposes; Lighting for the walkway, and it kills spiders.
Gravel reloading station. The Gravel means that a hole cause by an explosion will instantly be sealed.

Fortress taking shape.
Gate was too small.
Also, everything is no peaceful; no hax.
FORMATION OF THE TOWN
If anyone has any ideas for what buildings I should build go right ahead and post um.
Currently a TnT cannon is out of the question because it is pointed right at my base :tongue.gif:
I don't want a nether portal inside because I don't like ghasts so don't put any ghasts in my ghast so I can cower while I cower. Also the whole thing is very flammable. Ironic?

Yo dawg I heard you like ghasts so we took your ghast and filled it with ghasts
Oh, I was thinking of putting inside it a cobblestone room and having a layer of water in between it and the wool. I think the water would stop any potential fires while the cobblestone will give added protection. Then maybe I could put a Nether Portal in.
Or I could make a music thing that simulates ghast squeals :tongue.gif: All the fun of the Nether without the Nether.

Yeah, cause ghasts CAN come into the "main" world.

It's already startled me a few times. Force of habit from the Nether; you see that face, duck.

That is totally :SSSS:ly exact to an actual ghast. If I saw that in game I would sh|t :brick:s.
All this time on creative mode has set my WOW Z0MAGUD standards high, but I see how hard that was to make.
Nice jewb.

OT: I'd laugh if you were taking out a wall and saw it right in front of you and were like "oh SHI-"
Oh how cute, someone has built a giant ghast
