I've been working on a town after finally finding a seed that includes a nice river/fjord and coastal region. Like many others, I often build plain houses that wind up serving as nothing more than a shelter and place for storage. However, I'm rather pleased with what I have built so far. While still simple, I find them to be much more appealing than my usual buildings. So far I've done three structures, including a wood bridge. For those of you who tend to get frustrated with what you feel are plain or boring buildings and don't use any non-native texture packs, I strongly suggest trying some of the wonderful packs that people have created. They add a great deal of flavor to the things you may build.
Here are the buildings I've done so far. They aren't complex at all, especially compared to so many of the masterpieces that have been posted in this thread already, but for me they are pretty cozy.
The first house I built for the town. Front view.
Rear/side view of the first house.
First house entrance.
First house main room.
First house bedroom.
Forge building front view.
Forge building rear view.
Forge building interior.
Third building front view - Lacking decoration outside.

Third building upstairs interior - Music listening room. :smile.gif:
Third building downstairs interior.
Thanks to everyone who has posted in this thread. I've really enjoyed looking at your wonderful creations!
"And what have you done lately?" "Well... I've created two castles... A couple villages... Some Ships, well more like a navy... ok, ok, I've crated a world, that's what. What about you?" "Uh..."
Don't just build, Play.MCShadowVille.com
Edit: Ah, I found my last post in the thread... Page 19 :tongue.gif:
The WIP gatehouse that will lead into the [unnamed] bay on the Ragna-cast server. The interior is yet to be done, so naturally there are no windows or anything.
I'll leave the interior designing up to the server's resident Viking.
Haven't named this bridge yet.. I'm currently working on a island project, this bridge connects 2 rather large islands, one of which will have a town and the other a fortress. You can see the start of the town to the right there. Hmmm.. maybe I'll have to start a thread about this.
