Finished the walls of my citadel, and now working on the city inside it.
Here's the Central plaza (you can also see the Forge (right) and Cobblestone Factory (left) in the background).
As a side note, I planted a bunch of flowers too near the trees, but they aren't showing in the picture. Also, I wanted to use lapis lazuli blocks instedad of cyan wool... but that would be over 700 lapis lazuli... which I do not have...
The (almost) whole citadel, from outside the main gate (taken before plaza and the two buildings):
The soon to be docks (waiting on wooden half-step!):
A shot of the main gate from the plaza. I am planning on a market/bazaar on the path to the right... having trouble with design of it though:
Oh and I built a little Cliffside base outside my dam.
These aren't particularly special but just been following this thread and wanted to make a post. I've been working on a mansion for a while now (keep rebuilding it) and right now I'm trying to get the third floor the way I like it. Here are a couple of shots:
Looking from the windows to the stairs (the stairs are beneath the two logs that are sticking up).
Looking from the stairs to the windows.
Still need to get rid of all the planks...
What texture pack is this?

The chances of digging straight down into lava increase drastically if you have diamond in your inventory.
Its proven by science.

A mansion I've been working on for about a week now, between mining. Here's what I've currently done.
Day-
Night-
A number of views from within the large greenhouse at the rear of the building. Being one of the more time consuming parts of the building to accomplish, especially the half dome glass ceiling.
The blue ballroom, for that extra level of extravagance. The chandeliers seen here are just placeholders for when I can collect enough Brightstone to make something a bit more appropriate and effective.
The front of the mansion.
There's also a basement running the length and width of the building. And because this is still a WIP the roof and attic are yet to be added, with a similar design as the greenhouse. The second floor needs alot of work too.
This is perhaps the most extensive building I've managed to build so far.
Hiho, it seems the screenshots you posted from before page 12 in this topic aren't shown anymore. Any chance you could reupload them or maybe simply provide an archive with all those screenshots in them? :smile.gif:
This is my first post in this thread and I've finally built a house I'm extremely proud of! Hope to get some feedback!
This is my spawn home; it used to be a tiny 4 x 4 x 4 cottage that I would use as a storage unit until I finally got tired of it and rebuilt it. I still spawn inside it, and it now houses all my items in storage, a 14 unit furnace room, incinerators, an automatic harvesting cactus farm, and a cobblestone generator. I'm going to be expanding it even more, so it will eventually lead to my branch mines and hopefully a mine cart station that connects to my mob spawner traps scattered quite far from my spawn and other buildings of interest.
This is my Floating Island Cabin Chalet. Built by hand with legit materials (other than Lightstone) on my SMP server. It took me around 2 weeks to do. I started with a 27 wide circle then built the base underneath then all the dirt on top.
I have yet to finish the inside...
You can also see the Island(s) that it is attached to that my friend is building. Also pardon the crappy dirt bridge, I am waiting for Notch to implement those wooden half blocks then I am going to build a sweet rope bridge.

I would love to know if you could upload your version of that texture pack.

I really only modified a few blocks, it's still pretty close to tronic, but here it is. Remember it's a 32x32, so you'll need the HD fix.

Hello sir, I like your blocks :V
This looks gorgeous. There's an organic quality to the layout, making it seem very similar to a real-live structure designed for given terrain.

The Cake Room/Entrance to Mine and Farm. There are 2 doors behind me from the angle in the kitchen. This is when I went down the stairs and did a 180.
