Okay guys, I'm stealing lots of stuff from this thread to help make GoombaVille pretty. Version 7 will be the best update EVER.
When it comes out, and you download it, and you're all like "OMG GOOMBAGEEK YOU JACKED MY HOUSE >:(", ask and I'll give you credit (basically by adding a little sign that says "[your name] lives here")
You know you're good at building cities when you rip peoples houses without asking them first.
You know you're good at making sarcastic forum posts when you dive right in without any context at all.
I've made many houses, but they're boxy. I would like to improve that. I'm giving full credit, the town will look nicer, and at least I said "I'm stealing lots of stuff from this thread" instead of silently stealing designs.
Working on a sort of dwarf fortress ( not completely related to the game, just slightly ). Wanted a heavy emphasis on very sturdy, solid builds with a lot of lava, stone, and iron. It is directly built in to a mountain that was flat enough for me to flatten even more without wasting a day doing it on another mountain. Yet to finish the 2nd / 3rd floor and I would consider it really only about 15% done.
I'm using the Xaiwalker Texture pack.
Also, there is a cannon right above the gate :smile.gif:

The Texture pack does not suit this even the slightest.
Also I really like the idea, only I wish you put a little more effort into making it look "real?"
That matters how? If he wants to use that texture pack then that's his choice.
Almost finished with my citadel, the only parts left are the market area (bottom left), the residential area (right), and the roof of the city hall (upper left... don't know what to do with it). I also have a few plots reserved for a subway system if I ever bother to put one in. And maybe a boat or two in the harbor.
Aerial shot, although I cant get it all in the shot. (stupid clouds)
Texture pack is Painterly since Albion is outdated.
Edit: and here is a cropped Cartograph shot of it with lighthouse included:

been watching this thread for awhile, love the amount of detail put into your work.
I finished half of my market district, the above ground section. It's basically done though I'll change a few things here and there (like the Diner's walls). Quite a few pics this time.
Aerial Shot 1
Aerial Shot 2
From Left to Right the Fishmonger, Butcher, and Bakery
On Left The Diner, and the right is the Hardware Supply Store
Inside The Diner (not happy with the walls...)
Inside The Hardware Store
The Grocer (I'm especially happy with this one)
Inside the grocer (need to change that green heh)
And here's the incomplete second half, the underground portion. All the stores are carved out, just need to be decorated and filled up. There are 16 small stores and 4 large ones. Just need to think up what to put in each one heh.
"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever"
So, basically, anything I post will never out-do builders like Gummibear. o . o Ever.
But, here's a little artificial island with a Town. It's still WIP, but I figured posting it would bring attention, and maybe some critique and ideas for what to add onto it.
I'm calling it Wolfheart Island. Why? Well, I have about a dozen pet wolves already, all of which spawned during the building process. This isn't including the countless others I've killed.
Overshot (Sorry about the rain):
Wolfheart Pool w/ First Wolf Keep
The Glowstone Fountain (looks away better at night)
Whoa... Just... Whoa. All of these are amazing. I wish I had the patience to build some these things, but for now, I'll just stick with smaller structures.
This is what Ive been working on all day...Not sure what else Ill add, but im planning on building down on the other side just like the workshop is...

Hi everyone, Here are some screenshots of my cliffside Steampunk Fortress using Glimmar's Steampunk texures
There are alot of features (including pressure plate automatic doors, train stations and rail ways that wrap around my entire buildings, ect.) No cheats were used, difficulty: normal.
Here's the view of my fortress from a nearby forest. Yep thats a fire moat. also a tree house :tongue.gif:
view of my docks, and my button operated train station/launcher using booster carts held up by doors.
View of my fortress from inside the main walls. Lava on the tower acts as a beacon and lighting system
Kennels for my 14 robo-dogs
Inside the first floor living room
second story bedroom
"backyard' bridge leading to second train station and rails
courtyard with pond and wheat green house with automated doors to keep those pesky animals out
view from the main tower showing cliff forests to the north and my courtyard below
View from main tower showing the coast and ocean to the south

Dante's Albion is what I use for all my screenshots (though I have 5-6 TPs I cycle through)
The dock looked ugly and wrong to me.... so I burned it down and rebuilt it!
Burn Baby, Burn
Here's the new dock, complete although I may add some small ships later on.
On the left is the Shipwright/Carpenter and on the right is the Dockmaster's office
