Some people just don't get this. Please do NOT quote entire posts with large pictures. It's really annoying when I go through those kinds of posts just to see some one wrote at the bottom "cool". Replace the photo url with "-snip-" and we will get the same idea. My internet has the equivalent speed of mining obsidian with PORK and cannot process so much pictures.
Just a note, almost all web browsers only have to download an image once (that's what the cache is for). So the quoting of images is more of an inconvenience due to all the scrolling, but I agree with your premise.
I have a large gothic-style desert palace in progress on the Minerealm server. I will post some images once it gets nearer to completion.

I agree, but spend the damn money to upgrade. Maybe people would be kind enough to listen if you didn't steal Paulo1's thread...
Anyways, I myself don't find it necessary to build extravagant houses. I make dirt huts with cone roofs.

I didn't steal the thread. (I can read the tiny text.) I just wanted to revive it. All credit for the idea of this thread goes to Paulo1. BTW I'm not made of money.

I apologize if I offended you in anyway, I was just... pissed. At the time. The tiny text was sort of a comment I was thinking in my ahead at the time.
Yeah, I feel your pain. Took me a year to save the money to build a new pc.

Your tree farm looks very familiar :tongue.gif:, look at my building second post of this page, it's alot smaller then yours tho.
haha it looks almost exactly the same how didnt i realise. mine was a ***** to make, the border is 64x64 and at first i had a tree every two blocks but that cause a shitload of lagg and creepers so i burnt all the trees down and replanted them with larger gaps between.
ill post a pic of the fire later. :biggrin.gif:

You guys seem to be the experts here, how should I spice up the exterior of this fort? Interior design I have much less trouble with, I'll be able to do that myself, but I'd like a few ideas for the outside :smile.gif:
Try accenting one type of block with another type. Many blocks "fit" with each other. Such as wood planks and logs.
So accent your cobblestone with smooth stone, perhaps on the corners or something like that.

I made a particle accelerator out of raw and cooked ham, but all I ended up finding was the Piggs Bacon
When I saw this, I fell in love with the design and immediately decided that I would try and create something similar on my newfound island.
This is the result:
The island shape was completely natural, but it was only two blocks tall. So, I built it higher. The second picture shows the only way onto the island, the dock. That was the only building originally on the island.
Raw.

Sorry about that, wasn't thinking I guess. Fixed.

Totally stealing this idea. Love it!

Could you post pictures of it up close and from every side of it from the outside? I'd love to recreate it.
Enjoy!
