This city looks really neat, I love what you have done with the bands of (gold? yellow wool?). Only thing I would suggest is a bit more color down on the main level, the other shots looked plainish. Fountains/grass might work.

Thank you! In my texture pack, that's glowstone; keeps the baddies from spawning on the roof. =3 And I agree; it is pretty plain. Unfortunately, most of the tricks I use to liven things up just don't fit in the theme. I have some grassy patches, but trees/flowers would probably look out of place. At least the sparse look is desert-y and kind of fits.
I'm definitely going to try to squeeze in some more fountains, though; I like that idea. Maybe I'll stick a massive fountain in the center temple thingy, that's a better idea than what I was going to do with trees.
"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever"
Bencb Might i enquire as to what texture pack you are using
And as for the build i absolutely love the farm area it looks just amazing with the windmill in the background and ur style of building really fits in with the nice farmy kind of backdrop with a few tress and heaps of dirt and water looks quite good
I guess I'll post my current world right now! I'm proud of it, and I'm still expanding it.
So welcome to my estate! Here I am settled on top of a waterfall, but if you look closely...there are lights in this majestic beauty...
Yes, this is a pseudo waterfall revealing a runway for my planes! (viewtopic.php?f=25&t=198188). How does this work?
Basically, pistons (viewtopic.php?t=247686&f=1032) are used as water blockers, and with a flip of the switch in my control room, the water flows back down again.
Bencb, that's amazing, I may steal borrow a few ideas and build a farm on the server I'm on. I really like the wheat field in particular. :biggrin.gif:
Heavily (99.9% actually) based on another building from this thread, changed a few minor things. And just started doing the interior. (Had to punch quite a few sheep so far tho, =p )
Very cool building. That texture pack hurts my eyes. XD
The town I've been building for me and my boyfriends server. It's not quite done, still missing a dock, wall and farm buildings. It has 21 buildings now.
