The Facts Speak Volumes: by Tifinchi and Felthas (Jan 2017)[/i]
To Be Or Not To Be[/b]
Deciphering the History of the Minecraft Universe[/i]
Many human's have come to lay claim to the land of Minecraft. No one truly knows to what vast expanse the world of Minecraft goes. There have been many who document their adventures, and yet in our own adventures we find that our worlds never intersect. Throughout these documents you will find many people have found magics powerful enough to change the world of Minecraft as they see fit. These, The Sorcerers of Binary, have also provided us with their theories of the history of the vast world, each theory as amazing as the next.
Through the ages, the information was lost. New inhabitants of Minecraft began to wonder why great temples in all biomes were abandoned. Who were the people who built them? What happened to them, and why are there remnants of the societies still existing with no apparent owners? Some who came to inhabit Minecraft, cared not for the lore. They simply took root, and began to make the world their own.
For all people's, throughout all walks of life, we unearthed something amazing. Truly all could benefit from this, the history of Minecraft. The archaeologists, known as Tifinchi and Felthas, inhabited Minecraft as all others had done before them, but they had something no one else had! They were able to decipher and interpret the vagrant ramblings of the Wizard known as Wick E. They spent countless days researching, until finally they had decoded the truth! Their research was documented in several books. Tifinchi and Felthas eventually ventured on to other vast lands, and their research was lost in world of Minecraft. Years later, they found that their work called to them. It was uncharacteristic of their personalities to return to lands they had formerly inhabited. They were the type of adventures who enjoyed delving into new uncharted territory, but for some reason (unknown to even them) they returned, only to discover their works had been stolen. Only recently were they able to uncover a few of their previous works.
People with the magical prowess to be able to alter the reality of Minecraft will have the ability to summon these books. They will most likely be found in temples and dungeons spread throughout the world of Minecraft, but a note of caution. To prevent such a great loss from re-occurring, these Sorcerers of Binary should build a temple for the originals once found, and produce copies for all who inhabit their kingdoms.
The History Of Minecraft: Vol. 1[/b]
A Notch in Time[/i]
Legends say the Minecraft Universe was the whim of the great wizard, Sir Notch. Whether or not his imaginings were that of tedious intent, or merely fleeting fancy, are yet unknown. The story of creation has been passed down through countless inhabitants throughout the Minecraft Universe. Though there are many speculations, there are some aspects of this universe that are set in stone.
Sir Notch gathered together two other very powerful wizards, FruktHamster and carlmanneh. Together the three sorcerers recruited an army of wizards they called the Mojang. And thus, their whims and fantasies became reality.
The Minecraft Universe was created as a paradise. The Mojang, though they had the god-like power to create, never intended to be god-like. They created it as a safe haven, a place to escape. In 2010, the wizards stepped back to gaze upon their creation. The Minecraft Universe was finally ready to inhabit. Almost instantly, word of their new paradise spread throughout the lands like wildfire. For many years the Mojang and the wizards tediously turmoiled away trying to create the amazing paradise everyone wanted. Many would make requests for new additions to the universe. The wizards tirelessly created new additions to the universe, and changed the fabric of its existence to improve it, until... it was just too much.
In November of 2014, Sir Notch retired from the sorcery of ever enhancing the Minecraft Universe, and his team of wizards soon followed. Not wanting to leave his beloved subjects without, Sir Notch called upon another group of wizards to maintain it. They are the Sorcerers of Binary known as Microsoft.
The History Of Minecraft: Vol. 2[/b]
Playing God[/i]
Throughout the ages humans have come to inhabit the Minecraft Universe, but they were not native to it. The Mojang wizards saw fit to create a race of peoples we now know as The Villagers. They were the original inhabitants, but as any creator of worlds will discover, creating life does end the way you think. Long ago, the Minecraft Universe was but one continent in what we now call the Overworld. The Villagers grew into a vast, ancient civilization across the massive continent. They grew in numbers and knowledge until they eventually became The Order of The Knows.
As with any vast civilization, something was awry. Having a taste of sorcery at their fingertips, many of The Knows began to form schools of magics throughout the land. There were sorcerers of many disciplines. They began to wield the power of Biomes. Some wielded the power to mold and shape sand, others the power of lava, while some could bend the molecules of water, but there was a discipline that was highly frowned upon among The Order of the Knows.
There were a few wizards, who were shunned and excluded from all other disciplines. They couldn't follow codes set forth by the Schools of Magics, and they caused much grief to their superiors. Those that were exiled were called The Booted. For a while, they lived in isolation. Each claiming a piece of land, and living in solitude. Over time, they began to form together to form the order known as Revenge of the Booted which was later shortened to Reboot. As they each had studied under many forms of magics, they each brought with them, their knowledge (no matter how incomplete their training was).
The Reboots began to grow in numbers and knowledge, until they discovered a discipline of magic not yet explored. Necromancy! And thus, the Reboot School of Necromancy was born.
You may still see remnants of their work even today. If you’ve ever found yourself moving faster than the world around you, (then suddenly unable to move) until suddenly everything goes black, and you wake up having to repeat some things you thought you had already done (like déjà vu), you have probably experienced the aftereffects of a Reboot!
The History Of Minecraft: Vol. 3[/b]
Sticky Situation[/i]
The people of the Reboot School of Necromancy were obsessed with raising the dead. The Order of the Knows had made little attempt to discover what happened to them in the afterlife. They were very religious and built temples and churches to worship their gods Sir Notch, FruktHamster, and carlmanneh. They believed in afterlife, but they had never seen evidence of it. They believed in what a human might call hell, and they believed in what a human might call Purgatory. They believed that after Purgatory, the spirit would have to battle to be set free into a realm a human might consider to be Heaven. To reach Heaven, one would finally obtain enlightenment.
The Reboots were comprised of exiled wizards, and when they attempted to show their combined powers to The Order of the Knows, they were shunned and mocked.
In a first attempt to assert their dominance as sorcerers, The Reboots created a massive portal to the underworld (now know as the Nether). As any aspiring necromancer will discover, in order to summon energies from outside of the Overworld, a sacrifice must be made in that dimension. The Reboots called upon the power that they could feel in the air around them, by providing a living sacrifice, plants. Until this day, there had never been a cloudy sky on the continent known as Minecraft. Their ritual brought forth massive, black clouds that began to rumble with anger. The clouds proceeded to build up energy from the surrounding shrubbery, until they burst with rage in a flash of light so powerful it blinded many who were near to it. The light appeared to travel directly to the ground and opened a portal to the nether. The sacrificed plants uprooted themselves and began to chase people. Yes, you heard me right! The plants started to CHASE people. (Today, you may know them as Creepers). So charged with energy, the plants were now imbued with some form of explosive so that when they finally caught up with someone, they would explode creating massive amounts of damage. Through the portal The Reboots could see a handful of tiny, red bouncing demons known as Magma Slimes. The Reboots beckoned to the Magma Slimes to come forth. They desired to create an army to dominate the continent. As the the Magma Slimes stepped through the portal, their bodies changed. They cooled down, turning from a burning red to an emerald green. The change frightened them. Never before had they known the sensation of cold that shivered over their now solidified bodies. What was once a tough exterior formed from the lava, was now a gooey and soft shell. In fear, the Slimes fled to the the warm swamps of the Overworld.
The Order of the Knows endlessly ridiculed the Reboots for this failed attempt at magic, but mockery only made their obsession with revenge grow stronger. They vowed to refine the ritual and bring forth an army worthy of leading them to victory.
The History Of Minecraft: Vol. 4[/b]
Bones Arise[/i]
Several years had passed since the Sticky Situation that brought forth Slimes and Creepers into the world. The Order of the Knows had all but forgotten about the incident caused by the Reboots. The Reboots, however, would never forget. The humility and mockery of that latched itself tightly to the nerve that fueled their revenge. They had been working endlessly on a new ritual that would summon forth an army worthy of their necromantic powers.
This time, they prepared the ritual by sacrificing the life of a slightly higher grade, a pig. The Reboots once again called to the power of the sky, summoning forth clouds that would reign down a great flash of light and energy, and once again, a portal opened. This time the Reboots targeted the Wither Skeletons. They attempted to summon them to their world, but again it did not go as planned. As Wither Skeletons were once former great warriors of the Overworld, rather than step through the portal, their bones in the Overworld began to rise from whence they had fallen. Their bones were not tainted by the immense heat of the Nether, and were still light colored and brittle. They were not the army the Reboots longed for because they arose to fight anyone and everyone. Without eyes or a brain, they had no discretion for whom they fought, and their ability to fight was so limited, if you snuck up on them, they would get so anxious they would actually turn the bow on themselves to shoot behind them, causing themselves damage. The sacrifice of pigs disappeared, and the portal closed. Again, The Reboots were mocked, and this time they were highly chastised for bringing the curse of walking dead into the world.
This did not deter The Reboots. Their revenge persisted and grew in hostility. There was now an all out war between The Order of the Knows and The Reboots. Seeing that The Reboots were gaining in power, the Order of the Knows began to prepare. In response to the creatures summoned by necromancy, they began to prepare themselves. They provided every person with a magical enchantment that if they were ever struck by the vicious energy of light, they could use the power of healing and avenge their Order. They succeed getting the enchantment to fulfill these qualifications, but they were never able to solve the failure that once struck by the energy, they would be hostile to anyone. They were feral at this point, and began to live in solitude out in the wild. Members of the Order called them Witches. They were able to retain their aptitude for magics and healing, but their memories were stripped from them, and they would turn even on their own family.
The History Of Minecraft: Vol. 5[/b]
The Breaking[/i]
Undaunted by their previous failures, and fueled by an insatiable taste for revenge, The Reboots gathered their forces together once more to wield the power of the Nether. This time, they would offer themselves as a sacrifice and conduit for the ritual. Again, they were trying to summon a great army, and this time their targets were the guardians of The Nether, the Blazes. Blazes were higher level demons charged with great energy that protected The Nether. Knowing that this would require a massive amount of energy to accomplish, The Reboots prepared for the largest scaled ritual ever preformed by ANY school of magic on the continent of Minecraft.
The intense concentration of Blazes, funneled to the small portal door, created a cluster of energy more potent than that of the sun. To this day there has never been a storm in Minecraft to match the unrelenting power of the storm they created that day! The clouds formed and turned they sky black. The energy was that of a thousand suns. When it struck the ground, it ripped through the earth revealing the Void. The continent cracked like a lake of ice on a summer day, and fragments of land were pushed away. The Order of the Knows were now separated by vast bodies of water, their cities and civilization destroyed. Few structures survived the massive storm, and those that did were now strewn all throughout this new world of small islands. The few groups of people who survived began setting up Villages. Their numbers so few and so vastly spread throughout the islands, they now had to focus on survival alone, and the once great schools of magic dwindled to only a few practitioners.
Unknown to The Reboots, their former sacrifice of Pigs were not killed in their last ritual. They had been transported through the portal in-tact, but they had transformed as any other creature. They were now an army of zombified hogs. Some of their flesh had turned green from rotting in patches all over their bodies. They were mindless, wandering the Nether with no purpose. When The Reboots sacrificed their own lives to preform the ritual, they were merged together with the creatures, forever trapped between the mind of swine and their own. These Zombie Pigmen now had no concept of time and were forever doomed to live out the rest of their living days as abominations in the Nether. Still fueled by the rage of their revenge, attempting to get their attention only brings them to the last memory they had, which was to execute the Order of the Knows. They stumble around the Nether, mindless, unless they are intentionally provoked, which will cause them to call out to all nearby Pigmen, creating a horde of the walking partly-dead.
The History Of Minecraft: Vol. 6[/b]
The Apocalypse: Of Ender Mites and Men[/i]
The final ritual caused many deaths. The storm broke the continent into many pieces. During the blast (caused by the concentration of trying to funnel Blazes through a single portal door) The Reboots were transformed into Zombie Pigman. When a Pigman died, it would disappear in a gas cloud, but it was no ordinary gas cloud! Anyone who inhaled the gas was instantly turned into the walking undead. There were a handful who survived the blast only because their piece of land was strewn so far away, it was out of the radius of the massive cloud created by the deaths of hundreds of Pigmen.
This was the Apocalypse. Sometime, in the year 2009, the wizards (known as Sir Notch, FruktHamster, and carlmanneh) began to gather other humans together to help repair this broken world. They tried to rid the world of the Pigmen for the Villagers, and discovered that they were even more receptive to the noxious clouds. It was later discovered that a human’s nose is five times stronger than that of the Villagers. The Villagers had evolved with cartilage build up to help combat the threat of Pigmen.
The Reboots and The Order of the Knows was no more. The Reboots had been transformed into walking abominations, and The Order was now broken in to small Villages who’s sole purpose was to survive the ever growing threats in the Overworld. The storm that split the continent was so immense, it’s aftershocks are still felt in the Overworld. Now the power fuels itself, and occasionally summons creatures from the Nether. Sometimes it will strike plants and charge them once again, sometimes it will summon small armies of Skeletons, and sometimes, when the conditions are just right, it will preform a sacrifice of swine, calling forth one of the Pigmen from the beyond. The Reboots had permanently opened the portal to the Nether, and it was out of control.
The wizards of Mojang were at a loss. They could not find a way to destroy the Zombie hordes because every death resulted in a cloud that only caused it to grow exponentially. They resolved to at least ease the pain and suffering of Villagers and their fallen comrades. The gathered together to summon a portal to Purgatory known as The End. The end was a vast wasteland at the time, with its sole inhabitant being Jean. She was a dragon of epic strength charged with the task of protecting the gateway to heaven. The wizards gravitated to the outer islands so as not to disturb her. They created an enchantment to separate the zombified Villagers and their fallen comrades from their physical form, so at least their spirits would not be bound to such a fate. These creations were free to travel from The End to the Overworld, with a catch. If they were spotted, they were obligated to protect to The End’s secrets, though it may cost them their spirit! The name Enderman derived not only from being summoned to The End, but also for the purple aura they emitted that resembled the Endermite. The Endermen were mere shadows of their former selves. They walk around mindlessly, with the desire to rebuild. Their thoughts so scrambled, they sometimes place a single block, but that is as far as their desire can take them.
There are still remnants of the Mojang wizards standing , somewhere within The End. Their work grew so intensive, that the wizards had to build cities that could only be reached by flying ships. Now abandoned, the only life remaining in the cities are the guardians known as Shulkers created by the wizards to protect themselves if their attempts failed and the fields of wild Chorus fruit that spread from their once tamed farms.

Stairway to Heaven[/i]
All in the Minecraft Universe have adapted to its new form. Villagers who so much as utter the thought of returning to necromancy are immediately exiled, and they go to live in solitude in the deep forests of the Overworld, though never more than a handful cluster together. The vast oceans keep The Reboots from reforming to their former power.
Humans have long since adapted to the Minecraft universe. When they discovered the noxious clouds from killing Zombies could turn them, they began surgically enhancing themselves, creating a better seal for their mouths and removing their noses all together. Eventually, this became a new permanent mutation to all human inhabitants of Minecraft. Of course, with their mouths enhanced, they only opened them to eat, so they now only communicate by telepathy. They say humans see the words of others as they would in a book, flashing before their eyes. Humans continue to rebuild Minecraft. With portals to the Nether and The End now open, they find ways to venture into these realms. Some continue endlessly to create and recreate. They have found a way to overcome the clutches of death, and (rather than going to Purgatory) they’ve found a way to re-spawn wherever they choose. These Sorcerers of Binary have even found a way to re-spawn in the Overworld after traveling through the Gate of Heaven! Those who have fought their demons, and defeated the great protector of the gate, say that walking through it creates a temporary rift in time where they can here the thoughts of the great Mojang wizards as the first human passed through the portal. They say the wizards speak of enlightenment and love, encouraging the human to realize that no matter where they are, they are themselves (doing what they would have done in any land). They say it inspires and encourages them to try harder and do more. Though it is difficult to FULLY understand the thoughts of great wizards, capable of creating worlds, it is clear that they always intended to spread joy and enlightenment.
If you find yourself a denizen of the Minecraft Universe, I implore you to remember: Never give up, always be yourself, and try to find the joy no matter where you are.

The History Of Minecraft: Vol. 7[/b]
