I'm not sure if it was under Literature as I don't know if the sub-section existed in ~December 2010
but I've previously tried to find stories and been successful for instance 100 Days to Mine which I also loved around the same time (December 2010) but this post I've been unable to track down for years including putting hours into searching just last night being my best last chance I can only assume it was deleted but for some reason I don't think that possible on these forums so if you have any ideas on what this could be or if you remember it yourself please help!
Steve or the main story character I don't believe were building their house but already had it built and was sleeping perhaps when he woke up (maybe there was no sleeping involved but that just came to me) and I don't know if it's on the inside or if he walked outside and saw what I imagined as but I don't know if the narrator wrote as redstone on the wall but I believe he said it at least looked like blood. But it was seemingly a couple or few redstone/blood tiles on the wall that lead down to the ground and towards a cave.
After following the trail the character arrives in the cave and I think feels scared and MAYBE hears spooky things but comes upon a creature I mentally imaged as a red/blood creeper but with appendages like tentacles coming out from all directions moving some but also attached to the walls/cave floor around it and were pulsating.
I can't recall any more details specifically even as much so as to how it ends but I believe the character escapes and the creature isn't killed or anything like that but I may be wrong, please please! If anyone could help me track this down I would owe you so much and could reward some graciously via like a Steam gift but i really wanted to re-read and work on artwork for this story I'd read years ago.
I am sorry mods if this is the wrong section or like if this isn't normal but would greatly appreciate it if you could just move the thread to the appropriate place or leave it open for just a couple days in hopes of helpful responses, preemptive sorry and thank you all again
