Stacks of days had passed since my brother had killed the Dragon, and today he would be released to say his final goodbyes, before jumping into the portal, said to travel to the legendary Past-lands.
I'm 10, he's 13, and he killed the Dragon.
No Stevian would ever kill the Dragon, the Dragon kept the End alive. now, we have no dragon, just an egg, and those creepy EndMen which force us Stevians and Alexians to wear creepy things, the pesky EndPlauge, which is kinda like a box with another box, and the Sentries, who guard our towns dotting the islands, and make sure we do not leave them unless we have a pass, but we no longer have the Dragon terrorizing us.
As I grasp Perry by the hand, he leans down to whisper something.
"in 4, you may leave, i will distract the sentries once i find the StrongHolds, escape, go to the main island and take the egg, then..."
at that point he is pulled away from me
"NO" i cry rushing towards the EndMen, i take of my creepy orange thing and look into the eyes of one.
it shakes, letting out a piercing cry then dissolves into thin air. how weak.
the remaining EndMan manages to hold back Perry.
*"pu semit" it says. then turns to me "ouy rof sa. dneirf ym dellik ouy, no nikpmup eht tup dlouhs ouy."*
my mother holds my hands and gently translates "put the Pumpkin on Eli" she pauses "i don't want to lose you to the Portal."
it must be hard on her, she's losing my brother. i watch the EndMan drag him away.
"remember" he shouts as the EndMan picks him up as if he were a stack of grass, and tosses him in.
He flashes purple for a second, and then floats up, his body disintegrates.
"He has passed through this world. He is in Aether or Nether. Or he has found the Past-lands." intones the EndMan. He then gives us a extra Ration of Tele Plant Fruit.
*times up. (turns) as for you. you should put the pumpkin on, you killed my friend.*
two years later...
0,01-school days
PERRY
I've been here for two years and I'm still not used to the "fourth dimension", time, basically what causes days in the Overworld. at night creepers, zombies, skeletons, spiders ETC come out, during the day they burn, some of them that is.
right now it must be dawn because Steve is shaking me awake.
"leave me alone" I mumble rolling over, trying to draw in comfort from the raggedy bed
Steve looks at me,
"come on get up, its breakfast soon."
"BUT IM SLEEPING" I yell, disproving my own statement by stating it.
"you were asleep" Steve corrects me. "now your awake. Get dressed its Monday"
Monday, school day, at least its better than school in the End. I wonder if my prediction was correct, wether the End really will fall in two years time.
Getting up I put on my clothes, I head down and find myself surrounded by other boys and girls. Here, they eat different foods . In the End, we only eat a kind of fruit called Chorus here, and Tele Port in the End.
Entering, the despensers dispense 6 loaves of bread. we then put them in furnaces, and take out toast. As always I manage to burn mine, and repeat the process
Once I'd sat down Alex came over to me, I think she likes me, because she takes every opportunity to be near or with me, preferably alone.
"I say" she began "have you tried flavouring your toast with rose petals? Cos i think it tastes really nice!"
I looked at her "no, i prefer popped Chorus."
She smiled, and then whispered in my ear.
I fell of my chair in shock.
"really? your hosting a PARTY?!?"
"Be quite you idiot! theres a reason its a surprise party!"
"yeah and I bet I surprised Steve! so it WAS a surprise."
"No no no no no" she laughs. "you keep quite and help me decorate the empty house ready for it, we then lure him there on the evening of his birthday, and say SURPRISE"
"SURPRISE what?" questioned Steve.
Alex glares at me. "nothing"
"oh cool! they added cacti to the flavouring!"
Lucky he got distracted I thought.

We had been removed to the center island because the islands of Avire and Glakis had fallen into the void. The whole problem started 1,9 days ago, Endmen had reported a few of the edge blocks around the island of Glakis disappearing, within days the Endmen had been evacuated.
But they couldn't leave humans alone could they? Oh no they couldn't, you see, were kinda like the Endmens slaves.
Whilst they live a life of ease we work our asses of. the Sentries just lurk there in their shells, their robots, and we've nicknamed them Shell Lurkers, or Shulkers for short.
We didn't even name the Sentries, although we invented them.
Tonight I escape. If Perry left then I will too.
I'm going wherever he went, I will join him in the Pastlands, or the Nether or the Aether if I have too.
0,03- out in the cold
PERRY
No wonder out city is underground, for above ground is cold and covered with trees.
Why am I above ground? I come here every day at midday, I feel closer to Eli up here.
Cant stay long, overwise ill catch a chill.
If Eli does spawn up here, will he think that there is no escape?
I decide to place a chest down at spawn. inside i put diamond armor and tools, a bed, 64 of each mushroom, some sugar cane and a stack of oak wood, a stack of oak, birch, and spruce saplings, not that its needed, two buckets of water, a stack of obsidian and bones, cacti, iron, and coal. and of course a flint and steal, cos it gets even colder during the night...

I don't know how to describe this, so I'm going to say the end was... COLD and here is... HOT.
They sound like words... so anyway. Its super hot here. but it seems to get cold and even more cold as I wait around and my body adjusts.
I can see a block like our containers, but made of a brown substance. I try to open it and it swings open with a creak.
Inside is a shiny blue material-made thing, I put it on my head and find it fits, I put the largest piece on my chest, the narrow things on my legs, and the narrow things with an end on my feet.
I grab the other things, and put most of them away, but one slips, the sharp one, and hits my finger "OWW" something red comes out, but slowly stops. I squeeze it to numb the pain and it starts again. I bury it in the soft white stuff, and notice that I'm more cold than cold. I'm colder than cold. which means I can be hotter than hot.
I take the block with tools, and take the hard stuff, boy is it heavy...
After emptying the brown container I pause. I can hear singing from underneath me.
From what i can make out its to the tune of the fountain, but it mentions... water.
I sing along softly, how I remember it.
"the middle of central

Then it stops. I stop. Curiosity gets the better of me.
They sing it differently.

I pause, thinking about how Elis sentence doesn't make sense, but I think I get the hang of it, before knocking on the door

When I go in I find myself in a 3x3x3 cube. the bed is against the far wall, a chest of draws at its foot, and another door opposite.
"Hi Perry, who's that." greeted the Stevian sitting on the aforementioned bed. He has short brown hair and blue eyes. he was wearing a light blue shirt with the left corner untucked over purple jeans. he has grey socks on and was smiling. He also has some stubble showing. Sitting next to him was a Alexian with ginger hair sweeping over one shoulder. She has green eyes, and was wearing a green top with brown corduroy trousers and was wearing boots.
Steve introduces me to Alex, his younger sister. Perry introduces me to them both. Once everyone had been introduced, Steve takes me into the bathroom, which is behind the other door.
"Get undressed and into the shower." he instructed me. before turning and leaving.
0,07- midday rush.
PERRY
After Steve had come back, we got to work.
I took the clothes down and put them in the bin, before taking seven new outfits up for Eli. Alex ran down to the sheep pen and took some shears. Steve crafted Eli some things.
We met back at Steves room just as Eli got out of the shower.
I threw him the clothes, Alex cut his hair till it was short, and Steve then took him down to the regestration room.
Alex then passed me the cake, and i put it in the abandoned house.

i have been given my own room like the one Steve has. I was given some items by Perry, Steve and Alex, and have put them in my chests.
Steve decided to do "catch up" lessons. and Perry said they were hosting a surprise party for Steve.
now i finally get to sleep. and i find i sleep for a very long time. when i wake up the watch i was given shows the time 12:00.
I stare at the boy who is standing in my doorway.
"how did you get here?"
"I walked. Come on. Get up. We have Math. I hate Math. Spend as much time in the bathroom as you like.'
" I don't need it. Wheres the class?"
"follow me"
he then ran off but i easily caught up.
I sit down and am handed a written book called textbook and a book and quill. I pick up the quill and wrote the date (Tuesday June the 24th 60,61).
