How does one find their soul amidst the endless wave of clear, deep water? It is a mystery we will never know the answer too. But somehow, being lost on an island, with no way back home, is almost certain to help you find your place, where you belong. When you wake up ashore a sandy beach, with little memory of how you got here and who you are, you are awakened. You can see things you've never seen before; opportunities to advance, ways to become better as a person, and as a survivor. With time, you become more than you ever thought you'd become. This is what I have experienced. This is my tale.
Chapter 1
"Ugh..." I heard a groan as I began to shift into consciousness, It took me a moment to realize it was my own groan. Wait...
I managed to pry my eyes open and was greeted by a blinding light. I squinted, using my hand to block out what I realized was the sun. I was lying face-up on a sandy beach, the wreckage of an old wooden lifeboat strewn along the rocks that made the reef.
I stood up and dusted off the sand on my jeans, before a sudden wave of dizziness hit me. I stumbled backwards and took a moment to regain my balance as the dizziness slowly faded. I realized I must have taken a hard hit to my head after....After what? I realized with shock that I couldn't remember much of anything. I dug through my memories to find at least something to hold on to. My name....My name is Karren. Karren Lithium. But why was I here? For that matter, where am I? How did I get here? My mind screamed for a solution as I watched the wreckage of the lifeboat float aimlessly over the sea.
I took a deep breath and tried to calm my racing mind. Right now, I need to focus on survival. I seem to vaguely remember some survival tips, but few of them seem useful. I go with what I got, though, and take in my surroundings. I'm on a beach, and nearby is what looks like a birch forest. The water in the sea is probably saltwater, which means I can't drink it. I need to find a source of freshwater and settle near there. It would also be helpful if there were some animals nearby that I could use as a food source. Would it be a good idea to go inland? Well, it seems like the only way to find fresh water. I doubt I'll find any lakes right next to the sea.
My best option is to head towards the forest and find something to gather some wood with. As I walk, I search for sharp stones I might be able to use as a primitive axe. I find one with little difficulty and began hacking away at some wood with it. God, this'll take forever...
(That's all I got so far, but I'm working on more soon! I am using LB Photo Realism Texture pack, but I also photo edited the images, so that isn't exactly what it looks like.)
