It all began in the village of Bríne. Bríne was a thriving town in the middle of a plains biome. It was a center of trade for both villagers and players. Bríne was also a very safe place to live, which was why it was so successful. There was also a young man called Héro, who lived in Bríne. But one day, something even the army of Bríne could not prevent happened.
A player had summoned it, hoping to get a Nether Star. It was a Wither, a greatly feared monster of the Nether. It destroyed Bríne, and all living creatures, passive and hostile alike. Young Héro fled his town, and all of his possessions. No one else survived.
A few years later, Héro was thriving as an average survival player. He had met friends and griefers, started a farm, and mined for diamonds. He was famous in nearby lands. He made a mansion, and even had a portal to the Nether.
One day, Héro finally found the courage to go into the Nether. He stepped into the portal. He found that a blaze had spawned right in front of him. The blaze shot him in the face, blinding him and making his eyes completely white.
"What is your name?" asked the blaze.
"I'm Héro," said Héro. "And I'm from the village of Bríne."
"Hmm," said the blaze. "Héro of Bríne. I've heard a lot about you. We'll see what the Master has to say."
The blaze led the blind Héro to a Nether fortress. He was led to a room with a giant ghast inside. This was the Master.
"Who is this player scum you bring before me?" asked the Master.
"This is Héro of Bríne," said the blaze.
"Héro of Bríne?" said the ghast. "He is very dangerous, he cannot be kept alive."
The Master shot Héro with a fireball. It hit his heart, making him evil. He destroyed the creatures of the Nether, making sure not even a zombie pigman survived. Héro then stepped back through the portal.
"Hey Héro, what's up? And what happened to your eyes?" asked Héro's best friend, Jack.
Héro stabbed Jack, killing him. He then eventually found a village full of villagers and players, nearly as big as Bríne. Héro killed them all.
Héro was soon known throughout the land for his evil deeds. Players knew his name, Héro of Bríne, and had shortened it to Herobrine. He killed players and villagers. Players would disconnect from a server if they heard him coming. Herobrine still terrorizes Minecraft today.
