Here it is, the novel I've been wanting to release for a very long time now! I've put my weight, effort, sweat, blood, pee, and tears into this novel! I will be putting full development into this series at least once a week, and I will be refining the storyline and reword a couple of parts into a more understanding way, along the way! So, I hope you enjoy this reading and I will be adding lots of empathetic content into this novel!
Forward, Tarrega
A fan-fiction novel by Kotoro Yoshida
This novel is dedicated for the loved ones I've lost this year.
Chapter One
Though the choice may seem uncommon, one’s burden mistakes could cause many great accomplishments. These accomplishments could only be found through hard effort and determination, which Tarrega and Julius Bonhomme ceased to have at the time of their early childhood life. The greenest forest of all of Kiriam and possibly the most peaceful at the time, was called the Spirit Forest. A forest whose myths were to summon spirits for the Peacekeepers.
“Come on, Tarrega!” called Julius to him, as they trotted along the mossy green path of cobblestone into the deep forest. The brown shoes of Julius, a blonde boy with the heart of a lion, raced toward the beautiful shining light inside the Spirit Forest. “You can run faster than that!”
As Tarrega panted from exhaustion of running, he had the brightest smile a brunette boy could ever have, as he was enjoying the summer life around him. “Hold on, I wanna look around!” He said, for which he’d never been in the Spirit Forest without permission from the orphanage. Surround by the green leaves and oak trees, he was fascinated by the wild life around him, he’d never seen an undomesticated white lamb before.
Both Tarrega and Julius ran until they’ve reached the light coming from the middle of the forest, where no trees or animals were seen. It was a plain surround by giant oak trees, and the grass was almost taller than Julius and Tarrega’s chins. The boys laid in the shallow grass, exhausted from all the running around the village and forest. Above, they looked at the blue sky together, and imagined the clouds as animals, such as the sheep, chicken, and cow.
“Do you see that one? It looks like you, Julius!” said Tarrega, looking at the big white cloud in the sky. He pointed at the cloud, “Can you see it? There’s your nose, eyes, and big mouth!” Tarrega laughed joyfully.
“Look at the one next to it!” Julius pointed out. The white cloud was bigger than the cloud Tarrega pointed out, and it looked almost exactly like him. “You can see it, right? It has your eyes, nose, and big puffy hair!”
Both of the boys laughed for a long time, and then there a long silence. All that was heard was the wind blowing against the field of grass and the birds chirping from the forest. The boys laid in the field of grass for a long minute, looking at the blue sky and enjoying the view.
“I don’t think we should be here, Julius.” Tarrega implied.
“Don’t worry, Tarrega. It’ll be hours until the matron start looking for us. You know they barely care about us anyways, right?” Julius added, then continued to close his eyes for a nap.
“But, what if we get in trouble and spend our time in the cellar?” Tarrega insisted. He looked at Julius with distress and poked his cheek with a twig.
Julius slapped the twig off his face and looked at him in the eyes. “Tarrega, what if this would be the last time we’d spend our time in this field like this?” Julius argued.
Tarrega looked at Julius for a second, then turned the other way and slowly closed his eyes. “Okay, but promise me you won’t leave me here alone.” He replied.
Julius mumbled in agreement, then closed his eyes.
As Tarrega opened his eyes, a bizarre blue mist filled the field, the sky was already dark red and cloudy. Tarrega sat up and looked to his left, hoping to see that Julius was still there with him, but only the flatten grass was there. Tarrega stood up slowly, looking around him in fear and looking for his brother Julius. A few feet away, the field of dried grass shuffled, and a dark figure rose from the large gaping hole in the ground.
“Tarrega… Your time has come.” The dark mysterious figure proclaimed.
Suddenly, a very loud and deadly screech blew the entire field of grass into dry dirt and sand. The dark figure started to appear as a reaper, and it stood before Tarrega’s head. The reaper grabbed Tarrega’s head slowly with a large black and skinny arm, and sucked his delicate skin off slowly. Tarrega couldn’t do anything, he was paralyzed and traumatized by the reaper. He felt the pain around his entire body, and suddenly felt excruciating stabs from the back of his spine. Julius was there, but his skin was also consumed by the black reaper. He held up his boney claws and scraped the back of Tarrega’s head.
“Tarrega! Wake up!” snapped Julius, as he shook Tarrega in his nightmare.
Tarrega woke up with hot sweat around his back, and followed Julius’ words.
“I heard screaming from the other side of the forest, there must be something going on at the village!” Julius shouted. “We need to go right now!” Julius got up, took Tarrega’s hand, and ran back into the Spirit Forest.
I haven't posted any new chapters, and I apologize for that. The reason is because there is a lot of school work to be done, now that I'm in top of my classes with no regrets of going back to standard levels; I've become more formidable to writing and thinking. Later in the season, I'll be continuing my writing as usual and hope to publish the next few chapters into this series, as this is a very experienced way to improve my writing and show you guys what a great story can be.
TL;DR: I haven't updated for awhile because of school, but I will check back in later with a lot of ideas.
