I started writing this book for my growing network, (108.166.163.138 and extremepvp.net) and then decided to make a book. I'll even try to publish this book when I'm done! I'll post a new chapter here every time I finish two chapter on my book. I could explain about the book, but here're the first chapters!
Server Story #1
One day, a new solar system was reached. The sun here was so hot, it turned all the planets into balls of crusty magma. There was a really dumb theory, that life lived on this planet. Well how in the world do living things live in temperatures so harsh? It's pretty much impossible, but a group of scientists decided to go look. One was me. We went in a large ship, ready to study this barren planet. After 2 years of staring at some red rocks, my mind cracked. I was so devoted to finding life on this planet, I wouldn't leave. Nothing would make me leave. One day, while I was studying another region of the planet, looking for any signs of life, I heard the other scientists talking. "What should we do? I mean, we've been here in the atmosphere of this planet for 2 years now. Don't you think we should leave? There wasn't a high chance of life on this planet from the beginning."
"Well, I don't know. We are the most advanced scientists in this field. Maybe we should just wait a little longer."
"Are you going insane? This planet is just magma and cracked stone. There is nothing alive here. Nothing." Then, all of a sudden, something happened. Something bad. One of the ship engineers ran over. "Uh, guys? We need to go. Our energy storage tanks have just been hit by something. Something like a spear. It's made of something that isn't even on the periodic table of elements. We're losing altitude and fast." The other 2 scientist jumped up. They turned to me. "Come on we need to go! Like, now!"
"No."
"What? Have you lost your mind?"
"I promised I would find life and I'm not leaving until I do." They were quiet for a second then turned to the door. "If you're not coming with us, good luck." I found out I hate them. Just leaving me here to die. Not even helping me at all. They ran out of the room and were gone. A siren blared, and the escape pods were being launched into the murky black abyss of stars. I looked out the window and saw that the ship was getting closer to the volcano covered ground. That engineer guy wasn't kidding when he said the ship was losing altitude. I waited for my fate as I watched the ground get closer and closer. I didn't wait any longer. I ran, grabbed a fire extinguisher, and smashed the glass of the observatory deck. I jumped out into the oxygen-less environment. They were right, I am insane. Life could never exist on a planet with nothing. I flew through the air turning around to see the ship slowly descending into the pits of fire. It was then ugh I saw something. It flew behind me as I fell. I plunged into the lava and during those last few moments, I felt the hatred for my friends. At least who I thought were my friends. I wanted revenge. Everything started to fade away as I lost consciousness. The last thing I heard was the space craft. I knew it was all over. Then, everything went black. From this day on, this planet was known as the Scorch.
Server story #2
When I awoke, I was shocked. Everything was blurry, but the air had a red tinge. Little embers soared through the air. "Am I dead?" I wondered aloud. I saw something starring down at me. Something big. I tried to sit up and saw the scorched earth that I was sitting on. "This can't be heck... I've never done anything evil..." At first I couldn't remember anything. It slowly came back as reality set in. My vision cleared and I saw a flaming bird perched on a metal shard. A small shard of the ship's hull. "Where the hell am I?" An ember flew off the bird and hit me. I jumped up off the red turf and surprisingly didn't scream. Just ran around in circles. Then I saw my arm. It's made of fire... Lava maybe? Then I ran smack into the metal. *Thong*! The last thing I recalled was the flap of a bird flying away. When I awoke, for the second time, the bird was gone. This time a red dragon was in it's place. It looked at me with deep, black eyes. You could see the dragon's story behind them. An old wise dragon. I truly didn't know what to expect anymore. What else could possibly happen? Well, lots of things... The dragon was clutching something in it's claws. A stone. It was jet black, with a spark glowing in side. It looked as if a star was trapped within a black hole. The dragon dropped it and it hit the ground, the spark dancing within the stone. It looked like lightning as it hit the walls of black and soon rested back into it's original state. The dragon flew down, it's tattered wings flapping against the windy sky. It landed in front of me. Watching. Waiting. I slowly reached for the stone watching the dragon for sudden movements. It stayed perfectly still. When my hand touched the stone, the spark over powered the deep darkness of the stone making the whole thing bright. The dragon must be old. He was huge; I was surprised. How did I know this? The dragon spoke. "I am a Scorn." I watched the dragon as he continued. "I was the one who saved you." I was shocked at first. How could I miss this huge dragon as I fell? "Why would you save me over all the others still on board that ship?" He looked around as if he was about to spill some important information. "I sensed something powerful in you. The hatred. The betrayal. We need your help. In return, we can help you." "What do you mean by 'we'?" I asked. He sighed. "Remember that bird you saw earlier?" "Yes?" "Well, there are more creatures then that. More that call this planet home. Take a look around." It was then that I actually took in my surroundings. He was right, there were others. I saw lots of rooted trees. They were huge trees and had dark red wood. I even saw some un-rooted trees? They were walking around. You could tell they were not that intelligent because they were walking into others of their species and other things. They walked by their roots, and had blazing branches. There were houses with black ghost like creatures inside. "Wait... How did this all appear? My team would have seen all of this! And how is it all alive?" The Scorn sighed. "You'll understand later. I promise your questions will be answered." With that, he flew away, taking me with him. Riding a dragon, this has been one interesting day. "What's your name?" I asked him. "My name?" "Yes, your name?" He thought for a second as if remembering something. "Scornia. My names's Scornia. Leader of the Scorns."
The man's name was Adam. The girl was Sarah. They were flying back in the escape pod. "We were lucky to escape." Adam said. Sarah added "Out of the thousands of scientists on that air craft, only a few hundred escaped." Adam looked down at his hands. He was still holding the spear. "Look at this... This is amazing. The stone is pure black... Might have beaten VACNT. It could be 100% black." Rennselaer's researchers made the VACNT in 2007. It absorbs 99.970% of light, meaning it's nearly the darkest thing in the world. Made of vertically aligned carbon nanotubes, that is ultra-dark material. "I think this material is darker." He touched the tip and saw a bright mysterious light jump inside the tip. "Whoa!" He said dropping the spear. Sarah stared at it in amazement. "If it's ultra-black... How does it have light inside? And how can we see it? And how does it respond to touch? And how-" "Sarah, stop. I have no idea about any of that. All I do know is that something threw this at our ship. There is life on the planet." He grimaced at the thought. All of a sudden, a brilliant white light filled the air. All the wooden etches of un-burnable crimson wood turned yellow, and the spear transformed into a staff. "What the he-" Adam cut himself off as he saw something. A button on the staff. The material had split itself in two, covering the top and bottom. Adam picked it up. He pressed the button, and the staff changed from the ethical looking staff to a devilish, hell staff. It looked like something forged by Satan. The staff replaced it's yellow glow, with black. A darkness was cast across the room. The wood etches in the staff were replaced with deep gouges. A dark essence creeped out of the slits. A black leather-like hilt was in the middle. Huge black spikes came out of the top and bottom. The spikes were aged, and looked like they have been used in war. Adam smiled. "Sarah?" "Yeah?" She asked. "We need to call NASA. Now."
The NASA program was the first to hear about this phenomenon. On their cameras, they saw the ship sink. Sink into the fiery planet's crust. Everyone was quiet as they watched the aircraft plunge to its fevered fate. No one said a word, even when it was over. No one could let this leak into the public or there would be chaos. The world would be in insanity! The first person to speak was a man named Daniel. He was new to the field, and just came from college. "Sh- Sh- Shouldn't we... Do something?" His voice was shaky as if what he just witnessed wasn't real. Like he just saw people dying... And he did. "We- Well..." A woman said. Everyone was silent again, staring at the ship finding it's home in a abyss of lava. Metal chunks and shattered glass shards flew everywhere. A huge nuclear explosion occurred and a large mushroom cloud appeared over the site. Nothing could have survived that. "Wha- What made i- it... what caused that?" A different woman asked. No one knew the answer. "Someone, fax Area 51-" the General began to say when a phone started ringing. It was the general's counter phone. He picked it up. "Hello?" "I know what happened." "Adam, is that you?" Adam was a captain in the military. His extreme knowledge of weapons and technology was what had him put on the mission to go into space. "Yes it's me. A magical weapon was lodged into one of our nuclear power tanks. With the loss of fuel, it caused the ship to lose altitude." "Adam, this is no time to play games! Are you crazy? A magical weapon? I think you've been watching to many fantasy movies... And besides, it would have taken months to drain all that nuclear power. There was enough to keep the aircraft in space for another 20 years." "Sir, I'm telling you the truth. The weapon can transform into tons of different weapons. It is enchanting, so ethical, so heavenly... But can be so dark at the same time." The General said nothing at first, pondering the thought. And what he didn't know, was that something was plotting its revenge. And that the enchanted weapon was one of only two, and had the power to destroy the world. And the other staff was with Scornia.
That's 2 chapters. I'm still going through every chapter to add more detail, so the finished result may look a little different.
