Portal Quest is about a boy named Kyle who his job is to discover portals. Along the way, he encounters many friends, as well as many foes. Can Kyle survive his mission? Read more to find out! (So far, I only wrote chapter 1, but I'll do more eventually)
CHAPTER I:
Of course, I had to be the chosen one. Kyle Clemmons speaking. I was "specifically chosen" to do this mission because of my "unique abilities". Haha, yeah right. Since when did I do anything unique? The said I had to go on a portal quest, which meant I had to discover portals and explore them. What kind of job is that? Since my family was poor, they told me to do it for our own good; that maybe we can earn money by doing this. "Excuse me? I'm not getting payed. And even if I was, I would be earning money not we" I protested. But they literally forced me to do this. And i'm telling you all of this, when I'm right in front of a portal. I take a picture. I right down how it looks on the outside. Then I cautiously step in.
For goodness sake, I was right to be cautious! There were monsters, fire, and lava. "What the..." I mumbled. I wanted to call this place "Hell", but I am not the person who names the dimension. Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice "Kyle! Hey Kyle! Wait for me!" I recognized who it was. My good pal Oscar. "Uh Kyle, this portal is discovered already. It's called the Nether. They said you have to actually discover a portal" Oscar explained. And thats when my best friend starts to be annoying, he's a good friend and all, but every time I feel proud of myself, he always ruins it. My confidence was gone. I just walked out of the Nether, leaving Oscar there by himself.
I felt EXTREMELY discouraged, and upset. I sat on the balcony of my families house, until somebody else followed me. "Kyle? I'm sorry" Oscar said. "Yeah, yeah" I mumbled. So we sat together on the balcony.
Good ol' Oscar
CHAPTER II:
I had a dream last night. Well, of course I dreamed. But the dream.... it felt so.... real. In the dream, I was in this different dimension. It had these strange looking rocks. And there were these black tall creatures literally everywhere! And then, I saw a black dragon soaring through the air. I felt the wind of his flapping wings. I swung my sword at him. He tried to attack, but I dodged! For some reason, he started to heal. And I had a girl with me. "Kyle! You are amazing! I'm glad you're my boyfriend" The girl said as she gave me a kiss on my cheek. I couldn't actually control my voice, so I automatically said "No worries Andrea. Kyle will kill this dude once and for all!" Andrea laughed. Her laugh made me feel happy. I killed the Dragon with one last swing. I had done it! Andrea was about to say something when the dream ended.
"KYLE WAKE UP IT'S AND EXTREME EMERGENCY" Oscar shouted.
"What?" I asked.
"There is a stray cat stuck in the tree" Oscar replied, "We need to save it!"
And that's just the kind of thing that Oscar considers a "Extreme emergency". But that also proves that he is a sweet guy who always will interrupt his activities if somebody needs help.
"Ok. Save it" I told him. I wasn't highly interested in saving a cat that's stuck in a tree.
"NO! We NEED to save that cat! And I'm going to keep forcing you until you help me save the cat" Oscar protested. I smiled. I got some raw fish just in case Oscar wanted to tame it, which I new he would.
"Come here, kitty kitty" Oscar said in a sweet voice while holding the fish. The cat jumped out of the tree.
"Ouch" Oscar said while flinching, "that must've hurt the cat"
Oscar tamed the cat with the raw fish.
"Don't you have to ask your parents if you can keep it?" I asked. Oscar suddenly looked upset.
"I can't" Oscar finally said.
"Why?" I wondered.
"Umm.... because.... well.... I'm a orphan" Oscar said, "and well, I should leave now. I have to build a home for me and my cat" Oscar had a look on his face of sadness, loneliness, and a little bit of jealousy. I felt bad for Oscar. But why didn't he tell me? Since Oscar always made me feel better, I wanted to make him feel better too.
"Don't worry Oscar. Say, why don't we try discovering some portals?" I said. Usually, Oscar would've been overexcited and would've said: "PORTALS?! Wow, lets go then!". But he just sighed and said:
"Sorry, I can't. I'm busy".
"I'll go by myself then" I replied. I left Oscar their, hoping he would follow. And he did.
"Uh.. actually, I changed my mind" Oscar told me.
I smiled. We walked around, looking for portals underground. Suddenly, we saw a room in a cave. We saw a portal! I smiled as I took a picture and took notes. Then Oscar held my hand, and we went in.
