The start of this story loosely follows along with the Bible. You may be able to find connections between this story, and the Bible, however, there are lots of large differences. Notch isn't perfect, and he creates evil. Don't make this topic about religion, just discuss the story itself. If you guys have any feedback or suggestions for this, please let me know. After the first few chapters, I think I'm going to make the server turn away from following with the Bible. It may come and leave, we'll see. I've got some pretty neat ideas, and I'd like some of your guys' input.
Chapter 1
In the beginning, Notch, the god of Minecraftia, was experimenting to try to create new life. He created pixels, and these pixels created the form of life. Notch created pixels of different colors, and shaped them to create blocks. Notch started by creating cobblestone. He made cobblestone dense. Notch then created dirt, and grass. He then put these blocks into groups which he called chunks. Notch wanted a way for there to be unlimited chunks in the world, so he made the chunks randomly generate through the now infinite world. Notch called his creation The Overworld. As Notch continued to create these blocks, he started to get thirsty, so he created a blue liquid which he called water. Water fell from the sky as rain, and filled the holes of the Overworld. Notch called these bodies of water oceans, ponds, and rivers. Notch wanted to create light to protect his creation from the darkness. Notch also wanted to create life to roam the world that he created. Notch created a pink block, and put legs on it that allowed it to walk. He called his new creation a pig. Notch wanted a way to create more pigs to populate the Overworld. Notch tried making a second pig much like the first one.
While the pig was asleep, Notch created a second pig from more pixels. However, Notch decided to make the second pig his servant. He made this pig green so that he could identify the creature, and made it taller so it would stand out among the rest of the pigs. Notch's greediness made the pig rebel against it's creator. The tall, green pig was ashamed of what his creator had done, so he hid from Notch in a cave nearby. Notch realized that he had created good, and evil. Notch knew that he would soon have to create a place of eternal torture to punish the creeper for rebelling against him. He named the creature creeper as a sign to stay away from the evil. The first pig felt sorry for the creeper. She wanted to help save the creeper. Because of this, Notch named the pig Guilt. Again, Notch tried making a second pig much like the first one.
While the pig was asleep, Notch created a second pig from more pixels. This time, Notch didn't create the second pig to be his servant. Instead, he created the second pig to take care of Guilt. When Guilt woke up, the second pig took her down to the river to get something to drink. While they were there, the second pig told Guilt that he was hungry. Notch told the second pig that he would create something for the pigs to eat. Notch used blue pixels, and created a vegetable. The item was different than blocks. The pigs couldn't walk on the item like they could on blocks, and they could hold it in their hand. Notch a second item much like the first, and planted in in the ground. "Do not take of this vegetable. Let it grow and prosper so you may have more food to eat". Notch then told the pigs to eat the vegetable, and it would fill them. The pigs did as Notch had commanded them, and ate the vegetable.
The pigs then went back to the place that they had been created, to build for themselves, a place to stay. They used the dirt that Notch had created, to make their own shelter for the night. After they finished creating the shelter, the second pig was once again hungry. He wondered off to the stream where Notch had planted the blue vegetable the day before. There, the creeper stands next to where the vegetable was planted.
“You look very hungry”, The creeper says to the pig.
“Yes, I'm starving”, the second pig says.
“Then why don't you just dig up the vegetable, and ea-”
“No! I will not eat the vegetable. Notch said not to eat of it”, the second pig said interrupting the Creeper.
“Notch can always just create more vegetables if you eat of the vegetable in the ground”, said the creeper.
“You're right. Notch can just create more pixels and more vegetables”, The second pig digs the vegetable out of the ground, and eats the entire vegetable. He doesn't share any of it with Guilt, and eats it all for himself. Notch sees this, and calls the second pig Hog because he hogged the vegetable for himself. Hog travels back to Guilt, and they finish creating their shelter. As the sun sets, the Overworld begins to get dark. To protect the pigs, Notch creates a magic light in the pigs shelter, and tells the pigs to remain in the shelter to protect them from the darkness. During the night, Notch created another type of item. It was created with orange pixels, and he called this item carrot. He planted several carrots in the ground, to grow into more carrots for the pigs to eat. The next morning, when the pigs awake, Notch talks to Guilt and Hog. Notch tells the pigs that they will have to work for their food. They will have to grow their vegetables by themselves. Notch tells them they'll have to leave the place they were created. In shame, the pigs go to sleep.
While the pigs are sleeping, Notch decides he needs to create a way for the pigs to create their own vegetables. Notch creates wood items, and creates plank items out of them. Notch then creates blocks out of the items, and creates trees to grow wood blocks for the pigs. Notch also creates other blocks such as coal, iron, and gold. He places these blocks throughout the Overworld.
The next day, Notch shows the pigs what he created. He shows the pigs how to punch the wood to turn the wood blocks into wood items. Then, he shows the pigs how to turn the planks into a table that Notched called a Workbench. Notch showed the pigs that some items could be turned into blocks, and he placed the workbench in the pig's shelter. He then showed the pigs how to use the workbench to turn more of the planks into sticks, and use the sticks and planks to create a hoe with the workbench. Notch then showed the pigs how to turn the dirt into farm land, and plant the carrots.
“After some time, the carrots will multiply. You can eat some of the carrots, and plant others”, said Notch. The pigs try this, and are successful in growing carrots for them to eat. Notch then explains to the pigs how to create torches, and ingots. Notch then tells the pigs they must leave the place they were created.
Several years passed, and Guilt and Hog had two sons. The first was named Sow, because he worked as a farmer. He grew carrots for him and his family the same way that Notch had showed Guilt and Hog. The second son was named Piglet. When the oldest son, Sow, was 19 years of age, Sow started to become very greedy. Sow took more than his share of carrots for himself. Piglet noticed what Sow was doing. One day, when Sow was tending his field as he did every day, he was murdered by his brother. Piglet just had enough of Sow’s greediness.
Seven hundred and fifty years later, Guilt and Hog died, and three hundred years after that, the Overworld had grown very evil. Many pigs roamed the world, and protected themselves from the darkness. They’d created lots of dirt and cobblestone shelters, and had figured out how to use the cobblestone, iron, and gold to create better hoes, shovels, and axes. However, much like the creepers, the pigs had also become very evil. They would kill each other, steal from each other, and destroy each others property. The creepers lived among them, and taught them evil ways. Notch saw that the pigs had become evil, and that he would have to destroy much of his evil creation. He used green pixels to create another creature to kill all of the evil. He called this creation Zombie. He created lots of Zombies that would destroy most of his evil creation. However, there was one pig who was called Heross who lived in a small dirt house in a small town called Diko. Heross was very poor. He lived with his three sons, Enkopy, Fasaria and Ham, and their wives and children. All together, there was a total of a dozen pigs and piglets living together. Heross and his family were very obedient to Notch, and did as he commanded.
Several weeks after Ham’s youngest daughter was born, Notch visited Heross in a dream.
“Heross”, said Notch. “You must travel North 300 miles until you reach a place I have built for you. There, you will be protected. Evil has taken over the Overworld, and I must destroy it with Zombies. I need you to take with you, two of every type of carrot. One to eat, and one to plant when you reach the place I have built for you”.
“Who’s going to believe me?” said Heross with a confused expression on his face.
“Only your family”, said Notch. “I want you to take them with you. I will protect you and your family until you have reached this place”.
When Heross awoke, he prepared for his journey. He told his family about the dream. Heross’ family had the same dream that night, and they helped Heross prepare for the journey that Notch commanded them to take.
