First off, I would like to see that if you do not know me, then you're life is probably better than those who do know me. Secondly, I hope to settle any confusion between me and all of you through this, as I feel like we've been at a war that was never quite explained. I also believe that this war has gone on for generations, and that the roots can never be tracked by your kind, but our elders tell us the stories quite well.
I should probably introduce myself, but I feel like an introduction is unnecessary seeing as we both seem to know each other quite well. You are the one that dominates the world, lighting it up during the darkest of nights, stealing the precious resources that were never meant to be taken from the Earth, and littering the grounds, caves, and skies with your ridiculous structures that you never really seem to make use of all that much. I am the one that prowls through the night, and sometimes during the day, along with my other friends that I used to hang out with until you slayed them all with your diamond sword. You may see my kind as a threat, but our kind sees you as a destroyer and conqueror of the precious Earth that we were all meant to share, not claim to our individual selves.
You have insulted us, dreaded us, feared us, felt anger towards us. I've even heard you say once or twice that you wish our kind never existed, or was wiped off the face of the Earth. In response, we have stalked you to the depths of caves and through the thickest forests. We have made you be cautious around us, in order to try to make you more compassionate to our kind but yet you still murder us in genocide. Well, nearly all of us. I'm trying to refuse the way of my mother an father, uncle and aunt, cousins and siblings. I feel like going their way would get the two of us nowhere, which is why I am writing this to you right now.
Our roots go back to the time when your kind first started popping up out of thin air. The first of your kind started walking around, aimlessly an confused, and our kind left you alone at first as we saw that you were a new and confused species, with much to learn about the world. A few months later, however, you started figuring out that you could destroy the trees in the forests, and craft them into tools. We were a bit worried at this time, seeing that you were destroying a few forests and carrying swords around with you whenever you saw us in sight, but we continued to leave you alone. After a year later, though, you started building things high into the air, and killed a few of us when we got in your way of building this structure. This is where you crossed the line. This is where we assisted our friends and allies of the night in an attempt to stop you and your kind before this kind of behavior got out of hand.
Its been a few years since then, and now you've built towns and cities. Occasionally you still build things out in the wilderness here and there, but you've mainly taken to building things large and close together. Sometimes I see a few others from your species around you, but not too often. Once or twice I've seen my kind blow up, like a block of TNT, and manage to put a dent in your buildings or kill one of your kind. I don't know what this killing, death, and genocide is doing for us, though. Personally, I think we should just go back to a place of peace.
I write this to ask your kind: Please, stop littering the Earth with these massive structures. Please, stop stealing the resources from the caves and using them to your advantage. Please, stop killing us in an attempt to stop us from bugging you for a few minutes more. If you do these three things, I can guarantee you that us Creepers will leave you alone, and you will no longer need a shelter to protect you, as you'll need nothing to be protected against.
I am risking my life, walking up to you with this book in my inventory. I'm trying to sneak up from behind so that you won't kill me on sight. When I'm directly behind you, though, and I wish to have your attention and to give you this book, I'll hiss. Please don't take it as a sign of hostility. Take it as a sign of peace. And if I do fail to give this to you, and you do automatically resort to murdering me, then I at least hope you see the book drop out of my inventory, along with the two pieces of gunpowder I have on me.
Sincerely,
The Creeper
