The 13 Chapters Blades of Infinity
"Ugh!"
Jake falls to the dirt ground with a thud as his opponent overpowers him with the sheer strength he owns
"You are as useless as you look. Get up." Rodrick, Jake's older brother, orders with a wooden longsword in hand, pointing at Jake that lies tired on the dirt floor.
Young men are expected to be learning the ways of a sword at a very young age and begin Military Training at the age of 13. Children already begin training at the age of 4 where they build up necessary stamina through vigorous training that never seem to end. They are harshly educated with a sharp tongue to implant discipline into the weak minds of children at early ages.
Jake however, happens to be one of the people that are very weak and tends to hold a very feminine personality as a man. Jake is a weak, frail boy that is forced to learn Swordsmanship like any other and continues to fail to do so. Their father parted with words to tell Rodrick to train Jake and as it may seem, progress is very slow indeed.
Jake struggles to push his body up, his teeth grinding against each other. His arms shake as he tries to use them to bring himself up on the ground. The stress he puts on his body convulses his entire legs and arms violently. His heavy breathing continues to pace up with his tired body, replacing the lost energy his body requires. Bruises cover up his face and small scratch wound decorates his whole right arm and his two frail legs. Then it snapped and his arms falls apart. His face hits the ground with a large thud. The pain spreads across his weak body and he lies there, helplessly crying out the pain.
"I said get up you worthless piece of trash!" Rodrick yelled and kicked Jake in the belly.
Jake could do nothing but yell in pain as the leg made contact. Signals stream to his mind and he places his hands over his belly, burying the pain that seems to stay there forever. He could feel a thick liquid pouring up from his mouth. Blood.
His brother turns away in disgust, as if the sight of such a weak warrior is such a vile scene before him.
Through the heavy suffering, he push himself up, driven by the determination to not get hit by his brother again. His legs shake under his weight. He struggles to balance while standing, almost ending up falling once more.
"We will rest now. After we eat, we are training again for another night. Get ready, you pile of trash." Rodrick walks away with his back faced at Jake, wooden blade sheathed.
As his brother walks away, Jake could do nothing but fall back to the ground as fatigue creeps up his legs. He continues to pant heavily. His whole arms and legs are bathed in his sweat. His wounds open up and some blood flows out but he ignores it. His eyes wander to the land heavenward. The sky above him is dyed in a beautiful oceanic blue color. The fluffy clouds move past in such a calm and cool manner with such freedom. Before he realized, his eyelids already close and he quickly dozes away to the land of dreams.
He could see himself living a life of paradise and happiness. The diner table is decorated beautifully with cakes, sweets and delicious food. The scent of such delights reaches to his nose and he perks up, eyes in awe. It leaves a trail of saliva down his throat. He ]reaches for the food but with every step he makes, the paradise begin to move further away. The table of delights begin to grow smaller towards the distance. Jake runs toward it, hands extending to grab it. And then..
Right before his eyes, are the same clouds that move past him in a calm manner. Birds fly over his line of sight. The sky is dyed in a beautiful orange color, emanating a sense of peace and quiet. The dream was already over.
Jake slowly gets up, his strength back to him. He glances to the ground next to him and picks up the wooden sword that he uses. He faces the town he loves dearly and starts towards it.
"It was deafening." He told the interrogator.
Something shining in the sky catches Jake's attention and he turns his head to look at it. Something in the distant begins to grow larger in size. Jake squints his eyes to get a better view. It's something weird and big. And glowing. Then he widen his eyes in shock. Why?
"You lost me. What happened?" He asked.
A sudden explosion. It sends massive sound waves to extends of deafening. Jake is blown away from the tremendous force and hits a tree behind him. The vigorous training helped him allowed him to stay conscious after enduring such a powerful blow to the back. He quickly gets up and look over his village from the hill located at the back where they do training. The whole village is covered in flames. The nightsky is lit by the fires itself.
Jake couldn't take in the drastic turn in events. He is heavily confused by how it turned to this. But he shouldn't waste any time. His legs begin to move forward quickly, dragging his tired body with him. Soon, he is running. Running into the fires of torment. The fires of despair.
The fires that causes the peaceful life the people had for the past 1,000 years to be shredded, torn asunder and turned to ash.
He arrives at the burning city. The people are flooding their way out of the town in an obvious terrified manner as the fires scream over their heads. Their faces are filled with fear to the brim. Screams of terror reach Jake's ears. He feels terrified, but he has to do something before he leaves.
The waves of people never end. Some trips and fall to the ground, only to be trampled by the feet of hurried people that rush past him. Left and killed on the ground immediately without a chance to aid. Rotting on the ground to death just like that. Jake could only watch in pity as the man is buried in the sea of people. He begins to face the waves and push against them as he makes his way past them.
The people rush past him, pushing everybody past their way. They only cared about themselves. That is the nature of us, minecraftians. That is how selfish we are. Or are we?
The waves of people begin to thin out. Jake could finally breathe air into his lungs. But it is not clean air he allows into his body. Jake begins to run, shielding his nose and mouth from the smoke that contaminates the clean air. His legs move quickly by instinct. He has to find his family.
He has to find his mother.
He picks up his pace from the thought. He rapidly turns around corners, the extreme heat slamming down on him. Sweat drenches his clothes and he feels his throat drying up quickly. His vision would blur every now and then but he never stopped running. He never stops, that's right, his mother would be right around the corner, all fine and all. His mother would be running for him, embracing him in her arms.
"I saw a beautiful flower standing there in the barren wastelands. It wilted so much, its down to its last golden petal." He said to the interrogator.
Lying under the debris of a collapsed house, is Jake's mother. She is unconscious, the blood streaming down from her head. Jake quickly rushed to aid her, legs running mad and mind racing with emotions. He loved his mother. She was dear to him. She was all he has left. All. He. Has.
"And it was stolen from me.. just.. like.. that.." He said, holding back tears.
Jake kneels beside his mother, shouting her name, grasping her face and telling her to wake up. The tears just couldn't stop flowing. He looks over the debris that collapses over her. He quickly move to one side of the large board of wood and attempts to lift one side of it. He makes little progress but all to no avail. He can barely lift the board of wood away to save her mother.
He can't even save a person. He's not even worth to be called a warrior.
The board of wood falls again as he tries for the third time. Just then, Rodrick appears. Jake screams for Rodrick to help him but he does nothing. Rodrick merely kneels beside her mother's unconscious face and kisses her forehead, wishing her goodbye.
Jake shouts for Rodrick, his face drenches with tears that flow down his eyes. Rodrick turns to Jake, he shows a face devoid of emotions. A face that shows he never cared. A face Jake would least expect from his own brother.
He isn't even worth being called a brother. Jake feels true anger, he wants to hit Rodrick in the face, hard.
"Prove your worth. Prove what you accomplished in your training." Rodrick stood up, eyes gazing down onto Jake.
"WHAT IS THERE TO PROVE?! MY MOTHER IS DYING!"
Jake couldn't believe Rodrick's words. Jake is too mad to make sense of it. Mad with despair. He tries to lift the board of wood again, the veins in his arms and forehead protruding. The board of wood remains stationary. The board of wood remains as the only obstacle Jake has to go against to win a battle of his lifetime. Jake's arms begin to hurt. He puts so much effort and pressure into his lifting to the point it does the opposite.
There was a cracking sound and Jake falls to the ground. He looks at his hands, it shook violently. They are also bleeding from the joints, streaming down the arms. It stains his tattered clothes. Rodrick merely stands there, looking down at Jake with eyes of darkness. Eyes that shows no mercy. And Jake looks back up to Rodrick, his face contorted to one of an angry person, baring teeth like a feral wolf preparing for combat.
Then there was an unfamiliar noise, a noise that made the scorching fire fade into the background. Rodrick and Jake turns to the source of it. A mysterious creature stands on top of the very board of wood that became the only obstacle Jake has to face for his mother. The creature is black and taller than any normal minecraftian. It dons itself in a majestic purple cape, trimmed with gold and wields a glimmering diamond sword that shines in the colors of the flames that burn away the remains of the town. The creature looks down at the two pitiful mortals, the purple eyes that gaze down deep into their soul.
Jake merely looks back, his eyes wet with the tears that stream down his cheeks. Rodrick faces the creature, unsheathing the blade he keeps. An iron blade, shining in red by the flames of the town. An emerald was embedded onto the hilt. It was his father's treasured blade.
Rodrick points the sword to his mother,
"You may have the rights to claim this pitiful woman's life."
Jake's eyes widen. Rodrick turns his head to face Jake, lying on the ground with bloodied hands. He looks at the weak face Jake has worn. It is a sign of weakness. Jake is a completely weak warrior, he is absolutely not fit for battle. He might as well work with the women in the farmlands.
The creature turns his head to Jake's mother.
"This scum?"
Rodrick nods.
Jake screamed at the top of his lungs.
The creature swings his blade.
...
I open my eyes. I can see nothing. There is no ground, no sky, no sea, no cloud, no people, nothing. I raise my arms to look at my hands as I open them.
I look at myself and see that I am strangely well clothed, luxurious fabric envelops my body and keeping me safe and warm within; Not that it's hot outside at all or anything. My legs do not rest on any ground. It appears that I am floating in complete nothingness.
Is this oblivion?
I turn my body around, spinning in mid-air and stopping as my eyes stop to gaze upon something unfamiliar. A woman clothed in white. She has long hair that extends down to her waist, golden eyes that sparkle gorgeously. She owns quite the body, her skin looks beautiful, her face like one of an angel. I barely missed it but she owns a pair of white wings behind her back. Her lips curve to a smile and she extends her arm towards me, gesturing me to approach her.
Perhaps, an angelic figure?
Nonetheless, I land on nothing and begin to walk towards her, my shoes making noise on the transparent floor as I walk. I never knew how I stop levitating but I just happen to be able to.
We stand a step away from each other, eyes locked. I look into her eyes and I can see the beautiful life in it. She's so beautiful.
The woman reaches her arm into her back and retrieved a glowing purple gem that sparkles strangely. She hands to me and I take it willingly, examining it in my hands. Something appears to swirl within the purple gem and I use my hands to rub the surface to get a clearer vision.
It's an eye.
A green eye resides within the gem. An inhabitant within the shard. Whether it be a beast or a friend, I can never be sure. I look at the woman, a question in mind.
"The Eye of Ender."
She answers immediately, as if reading my thoughts. I look at the gem again and the eye has already dissapeared within the gem. I place the gem in my pocket.
"The Blade of Infinity." She says.
I look at her, my eyebrows raised in question.
She lets out a sigh, looking down on the ground in despair. Somehow, I feel guilty to bring her hopes down. She fixates her gaze on me. Suddenly, memories flash within my mind about the shards of Infinite, the Sacred Blade, the Ender, everything. It's like a fog in my mind has been cleared. I could remember again, remember everything I needed to do.
The Shards of Power.
The Blade of Infinity.
The Destruction of-
Suddenly, my head burst in pain as I dwell further in the memories I have. It's like I have crashed into a wall while riding on horseback. This is weird. I try to ignore the pain and look further in,
The Destruction..
The Creation..
The..
And then another surge of pain came bursting in, splitting my mind in halves as I fall to the ground. My eyes water and tears follow as the excruciating pain begins to slow down. I didn't realize I was yelling, right in front of the woman. Unusually, she remains calm, looking down at me.
I get up, regaining my posture.
"You can not remember yet." She suddenly speaks.
I raise no question, feeling slightly satisfied but more thoughtful. Why am I not supposed to remember and what?
She hands something to me again. In her hand, a hilt. Obviously, it would be the hilt for the Sacred Blade that would vanquish the Ender. As I was about to reach for it, my mind begin to hesitate. A voice speaks within my mind, one of a woman, most likely the one in front of me.
When you grab this blade, you are entrusted into a role more important, more dangerous, more heroic, most rewarding that any other quest. You will travel the lands in search of Shards to rebuild the blade. When you grab this blade, you will place your life on the line, all for the sake of minecraftians. You will have to fight right before the face of death, race against the grasp of darkness and void that will take your life.
When you grab this blade, you swore you will never back down, or face the consequences.
I gulp.
To be entrusted with the role to save the world? That's a big jump in the role I am partaking. I begin to think back my life, think of all that happened. My only use to this world, is to be the Kingdom's tool of Warfare. To be a soldier to die. That's right, my original purpose was to live to die.
And now, I have another purpose to pursue. One that is clear, fulfilling and adventurous. One that will be worth giving my life. One that will be better than the purpose I hold right now. I can forget about my unworthy role in life and partake in this event.
It will be perfect.
I did not realize but I begin smiling. I look up to face the beautiful woman.
She smiles as well,
"What do you choose?"
I hesitate a bit but it is clear right from the beginning that I have to choose this. He is fit for it..
Yes, that's right..
I would choose Jake.

I see some grammatical errors but other than that sounds good so far keep it up. One quick suggestion, before you post your first chapter reread your prologue's and fixed the spelling errors and places that don't make sense.

Hey! Just finished my first chapter!
I have a lot of free time in my hands so I might place a quick patch and edit most things especially the prologue, as stated by caaniganin, in literature the day after today (aka. Tommorow) and make quick adjustments and improvements!
Since my Chapter 1 feels kinda weird and the pace was a bit too fast, I was thinking I'll do a rewrite on it then move on to the next chapter. Whatever you guys think, please leave it as a comment, thanks!
Which means, for better experience, you should not read what I posted now!
Though you still should, I need feedback on it!
I hope you likes!
This is actually my second series, the first one being abandoned because it had a more epic plot and I'm I training up my English to put it on epic proportions!
I hope you enjoy and leave a comment if you like it!

21st November, 2013 - The Destined!
Hey! Just finished my first chapter!
I have a lot of free time in my hands so I might place a quick patch in my text the day after today (aka. Tommorow) and make quick adjustments and improvements!
Which means, for better experience, you should not read what I posted now!
Though you still should, I need feedback on it!
I hope you likes!
Thanks for reading! I just finished my exams and now I can finally focus on writing a bit more!
One or two update every week! Stay tuned and good bye!
Can't wait to see how Jake develops as a character.
Come Check it out ^__^
I just finished the prologue real fast!
The next few updates will follow the usual, one-update-per-week routine!
I hope you enjoy! Ta-ta!
That's the idea of the beginning. If I could give you a nice first impression, you'll want to read more.
Thanks for the feedback~
