Hello everyone,I've decided to write a story about Minecraft. I would appreciate your critiques, comments, and character applications very much. STORY:
Chapter 1: A Turn of Events
I felt the wind blow heavily, making the trees around me to slowly sway. I haven't seen a living creature for two or three or... I can't remember. My legs feel like lead from the frequent traveling, and my head still has a throbbing pain. It'll be fine when I find my house. I thought to myself. I just have to get there. I rolled my sleeve up to look at my arm. The scar was still there from the skeleton shooting an arrow from its bow with true accuracy. I winced as I put my sleeve back over the wound. I'm nearly there. I thought to myself with a hint of doubt. I kept on walking in familiar territory for a few minutes when I saw a creature in the dead of night. Not friendly, but it was nice to see a moving being for once. The zombie saw two iron swords gleaming in the moonlight and fell quietly to the ground. I decided to have a brief rest to recuperate from the long distance I traveled today. I scanned my surroundings to see what appeared to be a fire emitting light far away. I decided to see what was going on over there. When I got close enough to see what the fire was, I realized that three figures were burning the very thing I was traveling thousands of blocks to: my house.
Chapter 2: A New Friend
Though I was overwhelmed with unspeakable anger, I was still cautious as I approached the figures. I dropped to the ground and slowly crawled to get a better aim of them with my bow. Whoever they were, they're not living for long.
After I got to a strategical spot, I let loose an arrow towards one of the figures. I heard a short cry as they fell to the ground. I then remembered that I only had one arrow. You idiot! I softly said to myself. I now had to attack using melee.
By now the intruders realized the situation they were in and retreated into the dense forest. The frustration in my body took control. I swiftly chased them as they were retreating. I noticed one of them with what appeared to be chains on their ankles. Knowing they would be an easier target, I decided to chase them.
The figure noticed I was chasing him and seemed to run faster. Because they were sprinting too fast, they tripped over the chains and fell over. I quickly caught up, but they were still on the ground.
I got a closer look at the person. He was young and had a bow and a few arrows. He had black hair and had some crooked glasses over his green eyes.
"Please don't hurt me, please!" screamed the slender and short kid.
I hesitated. I shouldn't do this to a little kid.
"What's your name? And why are you in chains?" I asked him in a cold tone.
"J-J-Jacob." he replied, slowly regaining his confidence. "I-I'm in chains because these men captured me. They made me burn your house, I'm so sor-
"It's fine." I said, realizing that he had to do this cruel deed for his life.
I cut off the chains with my blades and helped him up.
"I thought you were going to kill me!" He said with shock.
"I didn't want to kill someone that was forced against his will." I replied. I looked into his eyes. "Do you have anywhere to go?"
He looked down and hesitated. "No." he said in a melancholy tone.
"Well," I proposed, "you can stay with me if you want to."
"But... your house-"
"We can rebuild it." I said optimistically, and with that, my new friend and I walked towards the rubble of my house.
