This is a thread for putting Fan Lore.
Use it to explain things in Minecraft, from something as invoking as "How did creepers come to be?" Or something as unnecessary as "Why doesn't dirt fall?" Or, simply post a scene, like a mining trip!
Mini-rule for Explainations
*Please don't post "This happened because Notch/Jeb wanted to". This isn't relevant, we're looking for actual player explanations.
And, yes, you can title it whatever you want, like a sentence. Just make it make sense to what you're explaining!
So, as you all know, the Minecraft world is about the size of Uranus (no pun intended). The question is, then, why does the Minecraft world have earth normal gravity?
Unlike the earth, the MC world is flat, with the sun and moon orbiting opposite each other at fixed distances from the world. This being the case, the sun is obviously larger than the moon, as it can give off maximum light. This means the sun is orbiting farther than the moon. The entire system is in equilibrium, with the world in the middle. But wait, where does the gravity come from? Here's the answer. The sun and moon's orbits take them a tiny bit closer to the underside of the world. this makes the pull of gravity be in the downward direction of about 1G. Of course, gravity begins to warp at extreme distances from the origin. This explains the lack of vegetation at 30,000,000, floating sand/gravel, and the farlands' distorted terrain. Now, at sunrise and sunset, the sun and moon are both to the sides. At this time, the world itself turns to balance itself, because the bottom of the world is denser than the top. This is why sunrise and sunset are shorter than the rest of the day.
Now why is this called the busted tie mechanic? If you draw a diagram, you have a circle with a wobbling line!
This is not the science behind a Creeper, it is how Creepers came to be. So, this takes place when the Minecraft world was still new, and the first race, the Forier (appearance is unknown, may have been Pigmen, Testificates, Humans, etc.) were starting to thrive. The Endermen had created the world and were helping this race to survive. They were adding animals for food, and giving them knowledge on how to survive.
One day, an Enderman was making a group of pigs, and he was ready to spawn them into the world. However, he accidentally added leaves to their genetic structure. When they had spawned, the pigs had a green and leafy texture, and seemed to be wobbling around, but there was no adverse effects... Or so it seemed. The Endermen left that group of Pigs alone.
Those Pigs were attracted to dark environments, and bred in there. The leaves fought against the Pig's vital functions, and twisted and mutated them horribly. Their digestive systems became filled with a substance that, when triggered, would cause them to explode. They evolved to have four legs for faster moving, and they had footpads so they made no movement. They became killing machines with dark soulless eyes equipped to seeing in the dark. Those were the first Creepers, and many more came from there.
The Origin of The End, Endermen, The Ender Dragon, and the Minecraft world
Once, before there was anything, there were The Watchers. This was not their true name, for The Watchers did not have a name. Such things are unimportant. The Watchers were everything. They were the universe. The Watchers were a race, and yet, they were a single being. The Watchers were a race of infinite potential, and yet, they were content to observe.
The Watchers simply existed for some time. The amount is not important, for time did not yet exist. At the end of this period, The Watchers created the most basic infrastructures. They created the base for time, containing an infinite different timelines. They created the base for space, containing an infinite amount of universes. They created the base for everything, including the things we do not know about, the things we have no word for, the things that are impossible to comprehend.
Yet, The Watchers felt that it was incomplete, for the containers were empty. There were no timelines, no universes, nothing inside the containers. The Watchers, however, decided to create one last thing. A new species, to fill the universe. They were the spirit of the mountain. Father sun, mother moon. Ancestral spirits, animal spirits. Jinn. Ghosts. The green man. Gods, demons. Angels. Poltergeists. Aliens, extraterrestrials. Leptons, quarks. The words changed. They did not change. They were The Creators, and yet, like their creators, they had a natural affinity to watching. The Creators created the contents, the universes, the timelines. Two such Creators settled on a universe. The universe was blocky and blocks floated. Strange creatures roamed the land. And yet, this was normal, for there was no normal.
These Creators were content to simply add two creatures. They created a race of black, tall creatures. They were naturally able to teleport, to step from and too unconnected points. The Creators called them the Endermen. Their life force stemmed from their strange orbs, the enderpearls. They could not die, only cease to show it's form. The enderpearls' power was lowered when watched. The Creators always watched. If they did not, the Endermen could tear apart the fabric of the universe.
Next, they created a single being, for which dying was of no consequence. He was The Player. He could use tools, and he was intelligent. There was no challenge he could not overcome, with enough preparation. To survive, he was forced to kill many creatures, including the Endermen.
When Endermen die, they disappear to a point within the void. As more Endermen died, the resonant energy within them strengthened, and an enormous landmass was created. Over time, The Player lost many enderpearls, and the lost enderpearls were attracted to the point of the void. Over time, the enderpearls reached the shadows, many endermen formed, and existed on the Landmass.
Some however, formed into other things, from the combined willpower of themselves. Some became huge towers of obsidian. Others became Crystals of pure energy. There was a large group, however, who became something greater.
One last group became a dragon, a dragon who's power stemmed from the egg that was contained inside itself. The egg was created from enderpearls. The force of the combination pulled many enderpearls to that point, and thus, a dragon made of willpower, of endermen, and of enderpearls was born.
lore behind lack of creatures:
Once upon a time there was a vast number of creatures and mobs that roamed the land. Then the first players happened, ravaging the land and turning into bad statues of pikachu and dirt cubes with doors. As time went on, all the mobs left, the world of minecraft has only just begun to recover as recently more real talent has begun to emerge.
Humans used to live in the sky. It was perfect, and everyone was happy. Then humans became bad, and the sky threw them out, putting them in a Minecraft world in the hope that they would die. They did, because of the monsters and all that, but then the sky didn't know what to do with them once they were dead. Eventually, it settled on making all the humans reincarnate.
That's a story of why you respawn, why you try so hard to survive (to prove to the sky that you're not going to die) and where your little person was before it spawned.
Addition: If you've been really bad, or if you choose to play Hardcore, then after you die the sky chucks you off the side of a cloud instead of letting you respawn. You shatter on the ground and are never heard from again.
Well, this is based on the story I was writing on these forums, Visions To The Past: Enderworld? Perhaps you haven't seen it yet, but during the middle of Chapter 6, I wrote a lore of how the Alliance was formed. Since my story is fictional. Anyways, the story tells of how the world was created and the history of Minecraftia in a nutshell.

Alright. Here goes...
The Origin of a Creeper

Nope, sorry guys, no Destroy the Godmodder relevant stuff here...
At least, not yet.

I might contribute some lore later.
An alternate timeline emerges.
