Hello, yet again to the mystical world of what my mind conjured from its depths, in other words, enjoy the story! (And feel free to comment too!)
Prologue: Old Journal: Log One, Entries 1-10, Powerful things.
Now, you're probably thinking something along the sides of: 'But shadows are just the thing that are made when light hits an object!' And by that, you are right, but I'm talking about a different kind of Shadow. A life form, even, though we only call them Shadows as a nickname, because of how they live.
Most of them live by imitating a creature, and making it's features randomized on humanoids. They can imitate almost any living thing, but, once they choose a form they cannot change it. They also have an innate ability to use magic, and don't have to come in contact with an overflow.
A Shadow's Dream is something that can be expelled from a powerful Shadow. A Shadow's Dream is essentially a blob of matter which can be formed into almost anything. However, according to my research, whenever a Dream is created, a rift grows a bit bigger, I have found this rift, but it's too small to fit through, I have made a countdown for how many more Dreams need to be created before it becomes big enough for a ship to come through.
Countdown: Twenty more.
Chapter One:
"Altrii, wake up!" I heard my mother say, and groaned. "What is it this time?" I asked her. "The Agency of Nether-Support says that there's been a breach in one of the Pigmen sanctuaries, and they want you to keep the pigmen inside until they can get someone to fix it." She said, and I replied, "Be right there, just let me get my gear on." I said, and opened my closet, looking through the various types of gear I had, dependent of where I'd be. I grabbed my Nether suit, which was filled with an always cold fluid, and also grabbed my normal clothes to put on under.
Once I put on my gear I grabbed a pair of gloves next to my bedside table which had plates of pointed metal on the top of them, I put them on and pressed a semi-hidden button on it, and part of the plate unfolded into a bow. I grabbed my quiver, which I put on my left hip, and headed outside, where my hoverboard was waiting. I hopped on and headed towards the Portal Station, where at least one of every type of discovered portal was.
Atria, our beautiful world, was a place where real life and Minecraft met, with aspects from both, living here was both a challenge and adventure. It was first created when a small rip between the Fifth Realm and it's own Minecraft realm, the rip connected them, then imploded with a great energy, creating this world.
As I arrived at the station I stepped to the front of my hoverboard and it folded up, latching onto my back, and I headed towards the Nether portal. Looking around, I saw a family trying to go to the End, but they lacked a Guardian, someone who was trained in the art of the sword, I myself was a Guardian, but unlike the others, even after the training course I still sucked with a sword, thus I used a bow, along with magic.
As I got to the Nether portal, one of the gatekeepers greeted me. "Altrii, another job I assume? Or material gathering?" He asked. "Another job, there has been a breach in one of the pigman sanctuaries apparently, asked me to keep them in until they could repair the damage." I told him. "Well, have a good trip then, oh, and someone wanted me to give you this." He said, and handed me a piece of paper. "Thanks." I said, and walked in.
Chapter Two:
As I walked through the portal, already I could tell something was off, it was much hotter than usual, yet there was a slight chill in the air. I looked at the piece of paper and on it said where the sanctuary was, and I headed towards it, and a few minutes later I could see it. I could see where the breach was, but no normal Nether mob could've made it, it was as big as a mansion, and a path of destruction was inside it, all the way to the middle of the sanctuary. I decided to investigate, and went into the giant hole, and soon after I heard an audible crack, and looked down. I had stepped on a piece of bone, but it seemed much thicker than anything that could get into here.
Hmm, what was that old story about a dragon made of bone? I thought to myself, remembering it, then I heard a slight growl, and looked behind me, seeing nothing. I slowly turned my head, and continued towards the center of it, seeing small houses made out of Nether brick and a refined Soul sand. As I arrived at the middle of the sanctuary, I noticed a black beacon, and went towards it. Inside it was a single black crystal, which I could feel eminated dark energy. Out of curiousity, I broke the glass surrounding it, and picked it up, and a second after I heard a roar coming from inside the sanctuary, startled, I ran towards the exit, but I heard a flapping of huge wings, and a dragon made out of bone landed next to me.
"Oh, so a petty mortal can touch my heart without dying, no matter, I'll have it back right now, right after I feast on your flesh." It said in a really deep, ancient voice. "What are you?" I asked it. "Oh, a curious one I see, well, you might as well know the one who took you to your grave, I am Gyraus Morla, World Eater!" Gyraus said, and lunged for me, but I had activated my bow and shot an arrow through him before he had even moved a foot, the attached line took me through the dragon, and I took out four of my arrows and shouted: "Fytrain Matrus! / Death Seekers!" And fired them all at the same time, they all split into four Death Seekers, and hit Gyraus in erratic patterns.
"No mortal can ever hope to defeat me, and beware, no one has ever survived an encounter from me." Gyraus said, and breathed flame all around him. I drew another arrow, this time using a different spell, "Havaus Jislent! / Light Arrow!" I shouted, and fire it at where his heart would've been, and once it hit he exploded, but not before telling me telepathically: "I will return, and you will be my first victim!" He roared his last words, and I folded my bow and headed for the portal, forgetting about the black crystal I had taken from the sanctuary.

The Death Catalyst:
(The text on this page is in a dark purple, which gives of a faint pulse of dark energy.)
The Death Catalyst is a powerful artifact, formed in the despair of a dying dimension, this black crystal was tempered by a Chaos Lord's purified energy, and later on formed a dragon, which it was the heart of. With The Death Catalyst, one can absorb its energies and change forms, into a superpowered, dark version of themselves, however, even though it is the most powerful dark energy artifact, it does not corrupt, instead, it simply multiplies the energy you send off, and when you use it to change forms, it dillutes your blood with dark energy, which generates enough energy to beat a nuclear reactor, and when you go back into your normal state, you go into a cleansing process, the catalyst absorbs its energy, then sends light energy into your blood, effectively countering any dark energy it didn't reabsorb. However, there is a downside to transforming too much, your body might grow one of the things you get when you transform, however, in the short time I had it, I was able to analyze it, and saw that you're most likely to grow dark wings.
The Death Catalyst also allows you to cast some special spells which only its energies can cast, including the all powerful Death Wings and World Ender spells, both of which have enough energy to rival the explosion of a nuke. World Ender can tear planets, or dimensions, apart, Death Wings does the same thing as this, but with much less energy.
Chapter Three:
I found the portal back to the Overworld after a bit of searching, since I had been distracted by a stray ghast. As I approached the portal a crew of builders came through the portal, and I went through without talking to them, leaving the netherrack and lava behind me while I took off my Nether suit and put it in a small compartment in my hoverpack, and sat down for a bit to eat lunch, as I had been in the Nether for a few hours. As I looked down the station, noticing the Quartz pillars keeping the building up, and the glowstone paths leading to the portals, I looked at my watch, which wasn't really a watch, it was a touch screen that could call people and connect to the internet. I looked at my emails, and saw something that caught my eye: "Enderdragon plagued with sickness, please help! -End town of Bylian."
Strange, Enderdragons have great immune systems, the only time they could get sick is if a compressed water crystal got into them, I'll have to check this out. I thought to myself, and headed for the End portal, to see multiple people in line, and went to a Staff only door, and swiped my ID card on a scanner, and it opened, leading me into a dim room, where an End portal was giving off white and black light. I went up the stairs to the End portal, and prepared my body for transport. If I didn't, I could get a sick feeling, or even worse, swerve into the void. I jumped into the portal, and felt like I was falling at a thousand miles per hour, the feeling lasted for a few seconds before I slowed down to a stop, and landed on an obsidian platform, where at the front of it was an endstone bridge going across to the island of Bylian.
I eargerly walked towards the main island, but I heard a robotic voice say; "Stop, and tell me who you are." A floating robot that just appeared said. "Uhg, Altrii, Fourth Division Guardian, Peacekeeper and Job Taker, may I pass?" I said to it. "Scanning.... Guardian reckognized, access granted" The robot said, then disappeared. I sighed, then continued along the bridge. As I continued onto the island, I felt a sharp pain in my head, and nearly collapsed, crying out in pain. All I could feel was the pain in my head, and thoughts leaking into my mind, then I felt a moment where I felt nothing, then it came back, and I screamed, but in a seond it had stopped, and I felt different.
My vision had gone weird, and I saw an orange tint and almost anything I looked at had lines running through it, and I looked down at my hand, only to see a hand covered in a hard black armor, with claws coming out of it, shocked, I realized it was my hand, and I inspected my body to see what other changes it had gone through, and felt wings on my back, and a black pointed tail whipping around. Wait, didn't that dragon say that black crystal was its heart? Then that explains this... I thought to myself as my foot came down with a clang. I felt at my face, and felt a metal mask covering my eyes, and once took it off, I could see normally, the mask was white metal and orange glowing things where the eyes would be, and a small horn going up in between the eyes with pointed ends near where it ended.
I put it back on, and pondered how I could go back to normal, then there was a sphereical flash of white, and I felt like myself. I decided I might as well keep it to myself, and continued to Bylian.
Random Questions
Q: Can I copy any part of your story?
A: No, except for the titles of monsters and humans and anything I was inspired by something to make.
Q: If I suggest something for the story will you add it?
A: It depends, I might have character applications later on though.
Q: Can I use objects from your story?
A: Again, depends, if it's something like a hoverboard, yes, characters, no, however, the folding weapons was inspired by something on the internet, a series. Can you guess which one?

I almost never remember/try to add detail... However, I'll try to in the next few chapters, and I'm glad you like the beginning, there's also going to be more of the Journal in later chapters.

It's good and has an intriguing concept behind it but like Dejers said it would be better with more detail.
Feel free to leave your comments. Or criticisms, I suppose, if they're constructive. Almost anything really, unless it's an outright threat. In that case I'd prefer you put it in a private message.

Yeah, I'll try to add more detail for future chapters, I'm guessing you mean describing the surroundings and the characters as well, and, well, there is going to be some crazy stuff happening.

New chapter up, they're kinda short, but I write them in short time, essentially the way I judge a long enough chapter is if I can't the the title of it. Anyway, happy reading!
