Long ago, the four dimensions lived in—What is this, Avatar?
Okay, enough with the jokes. Let's get down to business. This is a new fanfiction I came up with cause I've been having... problems in the past and wanted to try something entirely different. Anyways, this story involves an entirely new bad guy but still is just as evil.
Before Humanity...
Deep underground, Notch found something strange in the Overworld. Eventually, there was a realm of inky blackness. This could only be the work of Void, the Chaos Lord. The rulers of the other dimensions were angered by Void, too.
But this time, Void had done something much different. Void had severed a hole into the bottom of every dimension. He had named this place after himself. No creature from any of the four dimensions could survive the void.
It was time to take action. Notch called a meeting to order with Herobrine, Lord of the Nether, Tarsol, Sun God and Lord of the Aether, and Finor, Ender Dragon and Lord of the End.
“As you know, Void has become a serious issue,” Notch said.
“Notch, you're speaking the obvious,” Tarsol said, “We need to take action. We have to kill him!”
“Are you nuts?!?!” Herobrine yelled, “At his strength, there's no way we would be able to kill him! He'd kill us!”
“I'm afraid Herobrine has a point,” Notch said, “I'm thinking of a way to perhaps... seal him?”
“That could work,” Finor said, “But you would have to use something that the endermen can't carry and the pigmen can't break.”
“Bedrock will do nicely,” Notch said, “But in the End, I'm afraid there will be issues.”
“What for?” Finor asked, “I thought this was actually going to work for once.”
“As the End is just one island,” Notch said, “The bedrock will be easily visible. We don't want people to easily notice our barrier or else we will be questioned. In the End, we'd have to seal Void another way. Make falling into the void a one-way trip, even for Void.”
“I'll take care of that,” Tarsol said, “Anything to help the issue of Void.”
“Then it's settled,” Notch said, “Tomorrow we seal Void into his own realm.”
36 Hours Later...
Void attempted to enter the End to once again wreak havoc on the endermen but found that something repelled him when he tried. This was obviously Notch's work.
“I'll get you, Notch,” Void said, “I'll send all your worlds into havoc. Somehow, someway, someday, I will get through your barrier and all your worlds will be reduced to nothing. I will recreate them into my image and destroy you and your associates. All shall bow down to Void, Lord of Chaos.”
Chapter One: Strange Events
It took me quite a while to realize what insane things had been happening all day. My life had always been strange. Bombs landed in random places around me that must've been launched at some battle. The world was at war but I tried not to notice. I couldn't help.
But today, I didn't notice that the creeper outside my door was upside down but could still walk. I just simply killed it and went on with my day.
I walked over to the forest to go to my favorite place to go during the day. It was a clearing in the forest where I always found different animals. I had named almost all of them and could recognize every one.
When I walked into the clearing, I found a few pigs and a chicken, but I didn't recognize any of them. When they saw me, they simply ran away. Maybe something scared them off.
A wolf ran in and licked me. Wolves always seemed to hate me. Whenever I walked by one, it would growl at me and continue hunting sheep. But this one really liked me.
“Easy there,” I said, “You want a bone?”
I tossed one into the trees and the wolf chased after it. It was then when I began to sense something was different, but I still hadn't given it much thought.
I had never walked much deeper into the forest, so that day I decided to try something different. After about 10 minutes, I noticed an odd lump of dirt on the ground right next to a tree. I dug it and found a chest hidden under it.
Inside it was a glowing golden sword that looked different from other blades of the same material. This one had an emerald in the hilt and the blade was much more dense. I picked it up and took a closer look. It didn't look like gold at all. Perhaps it wasn't.
Also in the chest, I found a book. It was signed by... no one. I opened it up to see what it said. Here is what was written inside:
To the reader:
In this chest you have also discovered my blade. I leave it here in great need. I was summoned by Notch to end the war that has been raging between the dimensions.
I was given this blade and was told only a true hero could carry this blade. To any others, it would be too heavy to carry. This blade was forged of no true material but was created by the magic of Notch himself.
If you are able to wield this blade, then you must complete the task that I could not. You must defeat great threats in each dimension and make peace with their leaders. However, only an Overworlder can do this task.
These dimensions will make peace with our world and then each other if an Overworlder completes this task. If the dimensions don't make peace, soon the Chaos Lord Void will be freed from the dimension he created and was sealed in.
Before you can go to the other dimensions and complete the task I ask of you to do, you must defeat a creature who has disabled portals to the other dimensions. It is called the Earth Colossus.
It can create and disable gateways to other worlds. Its strength is only matched by its size. However, it is more intelligent then both his strength and size combined.
Defeat the Earth Colossus and begin your journey. Use the blade and slay the terrors that haunt these realms. Once you do, the gateway will open to the one weapon that can seal Void once again. Avenge me and return harmony to the world.
-Mavi Dio
Why he didn't sign the cover with his name, I didn't know. But now that I had been able to carry the blade of this hero, I knew what I had to do.
Of course, I would need some help.
Chapter Two: The Journal
Before I went off to do anything crazy, I turned a page in the book and continued reading.
P.S. Before you go, there is one more very important thing. On the off chance Void is still to be freed, you'll need a weapon that your sword is needed to create.
I was told that I would be rewarded with a weapon by each of the dimensions' leaders. They are the Great Valkyrie Lance, the Death Axe, and the Obsidian Scythe.
When these weapons are put together with the sword you wield, they will create the strongest weapon of all: an ancient blade called Malim. It is the only weapon that can slay Void. However, I hope you will never have to use it.
Once Void is done with, either sealed or slain, you must return the sword to Notch's Altar here in the Overworld. The temple will seal Malim in there and no one will be able to retrieve it.
The rest of this book is a journal of everything I know about the dimensions including the terrors you will have to face. The entire journal will be a step-by-step guide to defeating Void.
I flipped over to a section labeled Spells:
An important tool against the challenges ahead will be spells which I learned during my travels. I have compiled a list of all the spells I learned. Here they are (with pronunciation):
Fire Spell: Ignios (Igg-NEE-OS) What it does: Blasts a shot of fire from the caster's hand, scorching whatever it hits.
Freezing Spell: Duratrus (Dur-a-trOOs) What it does: Blasts a shot of ice from the caster's hand, freezing its target in a block of ice. However, this effect has only a 60% chance of working.
Lightning Spell: Fulgo (Full-go) What it does: Strikes a lightning bolt down in front of the caster.
Illumination Spell: Iniluxo (In-ill-loockz-o) What it does: Illuminates the area around the user. Useful for traveling through caverns.
Pushing Spell: Ventilabis (Vent-teel-a-bis) What it does: Releases a magical force that will blow anything in front of the user backwards.
Explosion Spell: Dissilur (Diss-ee-lure) What it does: Creates an explosion in front of the user. This is likely to hurt both the user and its target, so this should not be used often.
Teleportation Spell: Auerti (ART-ee) What it does: Transports the user about 20 blocks away.
Invisibility Spell: Evanise (Ee-van-ees) What it does: Makes the user invisible for roughly 10 seconds.
Leaping Spell: Efons (Ef-ons) What it does: For a short time, allows the user to jump 10 times as high.
Breaking Spell: Resili (Rez-ill-ee) What it does: Breaks many weak substance. Cannot break anything more durable than iron blocks.
I won't bother you by showing you the rest of the book. After reading the list of spells, I decided to test one out. I turned over to a tree and put my arm up.
“Durantrus!” I shouted. A blue beam shot out from my hand. The next thing I knew, the tree was surrounded by ice. I was glad it worked on my first try, but I knew I shouldn't rely on it in combat.
I began to flip through the journal to find out where to... well... start on this crazy journey. Finally I found a section called Finding and Fighting the Earth Colossus..
To summon the Earth Colossus to the very place you stand, you'll have to find the Five Rubies hidden throughout the Overworld. They were all locked away into temples to prevent anyone from ever awakening the Earth Colossus.
However, seeing that it is awakened anyway, they'll have a purpose of good. Here are the temples and their locations:
Temple 1: Located on a large mountain very close to this forest.
Temple 2: In the reasonably close desert.
Temple 3: Inside a lake that was frozen over.
Temple 4: Deep within the jungle.
Temple 5: After collecting the previous four rubies, the path to this temple will reveal itself.
After collecting all the rubies, you must then smash them against an emerald block. But you must smash all of the rubies against the same block or else it won't work.
After the ritual is complete, the rubies will regenerate back in the temples. However, the breaking of the rubies will also awaken the Earth Colossus. Make sure you are prepared before you fight him.
His only weak spot is his head. You will have to find a way to climb on top of him. When I attempted to battle the Earth Colossus, I climbed onto his arm when he slammed his hand down. It was difficult and the Earth Colossus will probably avoid doing that attack again.
By now you're probably also wondering why the Earth Colossus is still alive even though I defeated it. The reason the enemies you'll face in the dimensions are still there are because they are technically immortal. Even after their death, they will regenerate in a few months.
So try to do this quest as quickly as possible. The last thing you need is to get stuck in the Nether and doom the world.
Well this guy was just a ray of sunshine.
Chapter Three: Bullseye
I decided it was time to begin. I went over to my house and packed up as much food and armor as I can carry. I hardly had any room for potions, so I had to put those in an enderchest.
This mission would be a tough one. I had no idea which way to go, but I only knew one exit from the forest, so I decided to take that one. I passed by Jack Kennedy, a pig that I named (I believe I mentioned all that earlier) or as I liked to call him, J.K.
J.K followed me to the exit of the forest when suddenly an arrow whizzed by, hitting J.K right between the eyes. J.K's body disappeared and a few porkchops were left behind. Someone about my age stepped in. In his hand was a shining bow.
“Didn't mean to kill your pig,” he said, “I'm Garth, nice to meet you.”
“Well, I don't appreciate you greeting me with an arrow,” I said, getting my sword out in case he tried anything I wouldn't like.
“Whoa!” Garth shouted, “That's a pretty good sword you got there. I shouldn't mess with you. Is there any way I can make all this up to you?”
“Well...” I said, “I could use some help. I got sent on this quest to seal Void once again. You wanna come with?”
“Saving the world isn't an oppurtunity I should turn down,” Garth said, “So where are we going, exactly?”
“I'm supposed to look for a giant mountain near here,” I said, “So it's really just a constant search.”
“Well, let's go,” Garth said.
I'd think a large mountain would be easier to find especially because it was supposed to be close. It was starting to become night so I took out some of the extra supplies I brought.
I took out a log and a flint and steel and made a pretty basic campfire. Then I suddenly heard a hissing behind me. I braced for impact when suddenly the hissing became quieter. I heard an explosion in the distance.
“Bullseye,” Garth said.
“Nice one,” I said. The next day we began another search for the mountain. Finally, just when it was about to become dusk, we spotted an enormous mountain in the distance.
After a few more minutes of traveling, we noticed a small chunk of stone bricks at the top of the mountain. That had to be the entrance. But once we got ready to climb, a group of zombies approached us.
“Halt!” the lead zombie said, “Anyone who holds that sword must be an enemy of Void. Troops, attack!”
Pelt me with suggestions on what you want for the story! Until then, Demented Demon Lord is out. Peace!
There must be something wrong with me, why haven't I noticed this earlier. Anyways, the beginning got off quite nicely. Perhaps a little more detail in the expressions and emotions could be added, but other than that, it's off to a good start. It is quite interesting, and I really want to know what you have planned. Plus, I want to find out the name of the main character.
Okay, enough with the jokes. Let's get down to business. This is a new fanfiction I came up with cause I've been having... problems in the past and wanted to try something entirely different. Anyways, this story involves an entirely new bad guy but still is just as evil.
