[Documentation by Dr. Edmar Stinerik]
The Endermen are commonly understood as having derived from fallen evil men. Reborn from the ‘End’ as abominations these beings become large black humanoid creatures.
The Endermen does not appreciate when a human looks at it… it becomes aggravated, opening its mouth as a warning sign. It is commonly believed that Endermen are among the most intellectually gifted mobs, capable of reason and higher level problem solving, as well as probable high levels of internal contemplation. This understanding leads scientists to question how Endermen learned to stay clear of water, and why it is that water harms them. The answers were previously undiscovered. But now, due to new advancements in Ender science, we have uncovered the follow findings:
-This document will focus on why Endermen are harmed when contacted by the substance water.
We know Endermen are coated with a thick black mesh of biological armored plates that intermesh with their skin’s dermis layer. This outer coating gives them their black appearance and toughness. Endermen’s skin is essentially highly evolved biological armor.
The plus side of this is of course it makes them extremely hard to kill with stabbing weapons. Tests confirmed that Endermen skin was far stronger than that of well crafted Chainmail armor. Their skin is also extremely light and allows them to move unhindered.
However the Endermen’s greatest defensive ability is also the source of its weakness. The Endermen’s skin is composite of microscopic cellular structures called Ribosithetic Plasmiods. A type of cell structure that is known to be attributed to dead, or rotted biological mass that has passed through an Ender Rift, a temporal field of distorted space-time created when an Enderman teleports. These rifts are not detectable to the naked eye, nor is it possible to follow an Enderman through such rifts. The rift is only passable by the Endermen because of the cellular composition of their armored skin prevents it from being eradicated by the rift as it moves through it.
Since the skin of the Endermen evolved in part because of the need to pass through these rifts, we really have no idea when the first Enderman may have adapted this trait. But it is understood that this is one major use for the composition of their skin.
This does however lead to the problem with contacting water. Ribosithetic Plasmiods are incapable of interacting with water. The cellular structure begins to deteriorate when the molecules from the water are absorbed through natural osmosis into the Endermen’s skin. This process starts to separate and break down the Enderman’s flesh.
The process can be thought of to being similar to what happens to a human eye when high levels of acidic fluid are introduced to the eye’s sensitive membrane. Because of the chemical reaction that occurs to the Ribosithetic Plasmiod cells in the Enderman’s skin, it suffers incredible pain. If an Enderman is exposed to water for a long enough period of time, it will perish. Any Enderman will die if exposed to water for too long a time.
As their biological armor is extremely hard to penetrate, very light, and allows them to move through temporal rift dilations in space-time unhindered, it is almost ironic that something as docile to humans as mere water, can be so incredibly harmful to these undead humanoid monstrosities.
We will conduct further research on these creatures, and report our findings as soon as we can. We still have so much more to learn about these incredible creatures of the void.
Until my next report, this is Dr. Edmar Stinerik, logging off.
Hope that you enjoyed this brief documentation. I will elaborate further on the Enderman, as well as characteristics of other mobs, later on.
Note- If you find time, please check out my story, "Dawn of the Infinity", Thanks.
Pretty sure that's not a silverfish, considering they look like they slide, not walk... like a snake, only smaller and easier to kill.
I drew a variation of the Silverfish, this is from another post of mine. It's a "Real life" silverfish, if they were more monster like and realistically based, and had relatively good graphics, then this is sort of what i envision them looking like "In real life" haha

Woah. Why haven't I checked this out before? Anyways, great job, I can really see the scientific touches you added to the "background" of the confusing history of the Endermen. It sounds like Minecraft high school or college explanations, in which I cannot explain further for I am in neither high school nor college.

Thanks! I write a book that very heavily revolves around modern day science as well as futuristic sciences and theoretical physics and such... Honestly... it's a war story, but it is very highly science based. Science fiction is most certainly my favorite style of writing. However, that story is rather complex in comparison to the Minecraft story i'm writing. But I wanted to give a science explanation for the Enderman. I'd like to do others on other mobs as well. I do hope you liked it.

Great analysis only one error I plainly saw.
