"Gah..." said Materite as he woke up from his ten-year slumber. He hasn't been awake since he was born. The reason for this is the curse that a witch put on his mother. All of Gracie Swordson's children would stay in rest until they were ten years old. It was an odd curse, but it was legitimate. Though Materite never knew his parents, he went along with business as usual. "It's already dark. I might want to build a shelter," he mumbled. All he knew to do at this time was hunt, gather, build, shoot, and survive. Materite quickly dug a three-block deep hole, then placed a block at the top for a roof. "Oh, darn. I forgot to get wood... I'll get it tomorrow." Materite said angrily. He then tried to sleep.
Chapter Two- The Three Knights
Materite woke up the next day. He got out of his shelter slowly but surely. Then he yawned and said, "Nothing's like the smell of charred zombie flesh in the morning". He heard a chuckle from behind a tree. "Who's there?!" he shouted. "It's...The Knights of the Square Table." said a feminine voice, trying to act manly. A mysterious figure came from behind the tree, followed by two wolves. "I'm Ashley Swordson." the figure said. Then, she whistled. Another figure jumped off of a tree. "This is my brother, Aharecht". The boy shook Materite's hand. He remained silent. Materite wondered why he was so quiet, then remembered a part of the curse on his mother. The oldest child would never be able to talk. Though this was upsetting, Materite said, "I'm Materite. Materite Swordson. You must be my siblings..." All three gasped. "Welcome to the group, I guess." said Ashley. She then threw out iron armor, food, a bow, a quiver full of arrows, and some basic tools. Materite put on the armor and said simply, "Thanks". The three kids walked along, from day by day, killing creepers and re-killing zombies. After a week of walking, non-stop, except for occasionally stopping to eat, the kids noticed a tower in the distance. As they walked on, it turned out to be a huge fort. "This... This is our base." said Ashley.
Chapter Three- How it All Happens
You may be wondering "How'd this happen?" and "How does he know all this stuff while he's asleep all his life?". I was at first, too. Now you can learn- It's simple! It's all because the curse wasn't professionally made. He could hear, see, taste, and smell. He picked up a few things. He went through a war or two as well, so he knows how to fight. It's kind of an odd thing to think about, so let's leave it at this.
I was born blind, but I've never had a problem seeing. I see through my bending.
People see me and think I'm weak. But I can take care of myself, by myself.
Meh, it's not supposed to make sense. It's just... It's just to read.
Didn't think about the "Been asleep for 10 years, blah zey blah" that much. Just wrote. I'm not the best writer.
Either way, next chapter's explanation.
I'm just gonna discontinue this. I've already derped it up...
You could have done worse.
Why is that a reason to quit?
Read through half the stories on here and you will find that the first parts usually suck...
But watching through the posts you can see some turn into amazing stories.
