Chapter 1 - The Beginning
His eyes unclouded and he heard noises. Slowly he began to discern voices from distinct clatter. He turned his head, Somebody held him. He opened his eyes and was momentarily blinded by the light that saturated the room.
He looked around. He was in a room hooked up to tubes. He saw some people scurrying around in lab coats. He sat in a sort of sweet bliss. He looked up and saw a woman staring at him. "You need to stop doing this to yourself Steve." Steve... Was that his name?
He looked around and saw a monitor beside him. It read, "Recuperation levels 90 percent." He looked back at the woman. He spoke through his dry throat "My Name..." He gulped at air, "Is it Steve?" She looked at him dumbfounded. "Yes." She turned to one of the lab coats "Is memory loss supposed to happen?" "Not regularly" The man replied. Before moving on with what he was doing.
He sat up and felt a strange sort of buoyancy. "Where am I?" He rasped loudly. The woman walked away "Come back." He said his voice straining. A minute later she returned with a glass of water. She handed it to him and he took it warily. He smelt it before drinking it; it had a slightly acrid taste to it. "Drugged" He exclaimed.
His eyes rolled up as he lost control of his muscles, she caught him before he fell off the bed. She whispered in his ear "Stop doing this to yourself!" His eyes met hers before he fell into a soundless sleep. He dreamed but did not dream. He floated soundlessly and did not remember.
He woke. He felt sand under him. He opened his eyes and blinked as the sun bore bright holes in his retinas. He pulled himself to a sitting position, rubbing his eyes. As his vision cleared he found himself on a blocky beach. He glanced around as he heard a strange sound.
Unable to discern the source of the noise he dragged himself to his feet. Shaking his strange dream from his head, he walked towards a sandy tree and punched it. After a minute a block fell from the middle of it and he picked it up. After a minute a crafting table lay before him and he was pounding on the tree again.
After a couple of minutes he had crafted a set of tools. He chopped down the rest of the nearby tree before he picked up his crafting table again and started off. As he walked along the beach he didn’t notice a row of oddly shaped bugs following him with strange lens like eyes.
Chapter 2
He was standing in a clearing finishing pounding the leaves above him to death. With a quick look around he took a log out of his pack and placed it on the ground. The log wavered then solidified as he placed another beside it.
As He pulled another log from his pack he heard a slight hiss. He turned quickly, pulling a sword from its sheath. He looked holding his sword high but there was nothing there. He shook his head and went back to laying logs.
A couple of minutes later he had laid a 2 block layer around his house. He placed a crafting table and a minute later pulled a wooden door out of thin air. He took the wooden door and moved backwards so he could place it where it went.
Walking forward to open the door he heard a hiss again. He dropped low to the ground and spun once more. Holding his back to his wall he surveyed the area. He tensed but only found a piece of grass twirling in the wind. Shaking his head Steve opened his door and walked inside.
Once inside he pulled a shovel out of his pack and started digging stairs downwards. About five blocks down he hit stone with his wooden shovel. With a grim smile Steve switched to his Pickaxe. He leaned backwards then started pounding the rock. As he hit the rock cracks appeared in it, a couple of seconds of hitting and he broke the rock into shards. Surprisingly the shards did not fall and hit the floor.
Instead it formed into a smaller cube and hovered slightly before Flying wildly at Steve. Flinching Steve caught it in his hand. Amazed he looked at the tiny cube that fit snugly in the palm of his hand. He looked in his pack and dropped the little block in there. To his surprise he found a couple of pieces of wood and dirt in there already. Shaking his head he pulled a cube of dirt out and put it down on the stone.
As he moved it closer its sides began to ripple. He moved it away and the wild rippling came to a halt. He moved it closer and plopped it down. The cube instantly expanded to fill the gap left by the stone. Shaking his head Steve pulled out his spade again. Watching closely he dug it up. When the dirt collapsed to a cube again and flew towards him he moved over slightly. The cube altered its path and flew towards him.
Instead of trying to catch it he let it continue to fly at him. An instant before it hit him it vanished. He looked in his bag again and found he had the same amount of dirt as he had when he started the experiment. He looked at the Small blocks again to try to disprove this theory as he counted. Suddenly the blocks began to consolidate themselves further.
A second later instead of looking at a ton of different blocks he found himself looking at little stacks with numbers beside them. After a minute he deduced that the numbers beside the stacks equaled the number of cubes making up the stack. Amazed he turned back to the wall and picked his pick up from the ground he began to mine again. Gradually ignoring the little blocks that flew at him. He mined further down then stated to branch out.
He made a cross-section and smashed through layers of rock before he found a curious black substance that popped out of rocks seeming to contain the material. He headed back upstairs holding this curious black material.
Chapter 3
As he walked up his stair he was struck with knowledge. Sitting on one of the steps he pulled the black substance out of his pocket. "Coal." he said slightly stunned. "How do I know that?" he wondered aloud.
He heard a strange noise echoing from his tunnels. Quickly he attached the coal to the end of a stick he had. He hit his new contraption on the wall and it burst into flame. "Let there be light," he said chuckling. What he saw heading up the stairs towards him however cut that chuckle short.
It was a dark mottled green. It stood just under Steve’s height and must have weighed at least as much as him. It had four legs that supported it and had a reptilian appearance. Its face had markings on it depicting a strange grin. When it moved it made no sound it seemed as if its hooves were soft hooves. As it approached Steve retreated a step.
Another burst of knowledge hit him "A creeper" he said. As he said that the creature started to move towards him faster. As Steve turned he placed a block to forestall the Creepers advance. He ran hearing a muffle hissing behind him than felt his body move forward, shook by the explosion of the creeper.
He was knocked brutally unconscious. As he lay on the ground, dead to the world he heard a voice. "Steve" It called. He rose from his position and saw a Blue orb floating in the air. Confused Steve looked around "Who's there?" He called loudly towards the orb. As he watched he saw a girl fade into the picture, she looked young 16 at the most but before Steve could comment she spoke.
Her voice came from everywhere but it obviously was directed by the girl. Her voice sounded aged but melodious, "My name is Blythe, Do not underestimate that which you do not understand." As she came closer Steve saw her more clearly, she had shock-white hair, her eyes were blue but they seemed unfathomably old. Something seemed to be twisting around her body Steve moved his head and saw a thin thread rotating from her shoulder to her hip.
As it twisted towards him he saw much that was unclear, but suddenly he made out a familiar picture. It was the creeper that had attacked him, he saw it follow him then explode, and then he saw himself fall to the ground. "Who are you?" Steve asked "My name is Blythe; I am here to aid you." She replied as her orb doubled its size. "You are unique." She said as her orb began to show his life. Steve could make out different scenes but it quickly faded. "You have lived many lives. Yet you are one being."
Steve looked at her confused. "What?" He asked. She ignored him "you do not belong in this world, yet here you reside." Steve saw another shape form behind her, Dark and menacing. Before he could say anything, Blythe swung around with a sword that gleamed blue, when she turned her sword illuminated the creature. It was pure black; it seemed to be made out of spikes.
As the sword illuminated it hissed "Blythe" The words were slick and horrifying. It lunged at Blythe but she calmly took her sword and sliced through it. She looked back at Steve, "Another of your lives ends, yet you will remain... I will depart." With a flash of strange blue light Blythe disappeared. "The monsters!" Steve cried out in fear but before the sounds touched his ears he woke.
As his eyes opened he saw a terrifying creature standing above him. He stayed Stock still but the creature noticed him and bent down reaching for him "Braaaiiins" It moaned as it pulled at Steve’s hair. "A zombie" He thought mortified. "He is going to kill me!" As the zombie ripped off his scalp his last thought before the zombie's teeth broke through his skull was "I hope Blythe was right" Then He knew no more.
A minute later a large metallic bug flew through the air. It hurriedly broke through the rock above the zombie. The Zombie turned from its meal and stared in interest at the Metallic creature that hung above it. Before it could moan A Beam shot from the large bug and fried it. The Zombie disappeared in a puff of smoke. The bug then lowered legs down and picked Steve's Corpse from the Ground.
As the bug Ascended into the light of the dying sun a light blue light rose from the direction opposite the sun. The moons deep blue light soon filled the sky. A shaft of light blue light lingered on Steve's Face as his body was carried away. Below there came sounds of bones snapping and zombie moans as the creatures of the night reclaimed their world.
Chapter 4
Steve
He woke suddenly, in a cold sweat. His head was clouded but he remembered he was about to be eaten by a zombie, Then he felt his forehead There were no marks. He shook his head, "Just a Dream." he murmured.
As he dragged himself from the ground, he surveyed the area. He was in a jungle near a small pond. He looked around and discovered the same blocky templates. As he looked around the jungle He saw very little life.
A block of leaves broke overhead and he saw a creature like what he had seen in the dream part of his dream. It was twice the size of Steve, its sickly yellow eyes narrowed and found Steve. With a hiss it flew towards him. Steve grabbed a block of dirt and readied to smash it in its face.
A split second before the Creature reached him a bright beam of bright blue light shot across the sky. The Creature hissed as it moved backwards, Suddenly Blythe shot from the clouds with her sword and sliced the creature in half. She turned slightly to Steve "Let not this life force be wasted. Look for your past!" Then she disappeared.
Lab
"Sensors indicate that two unknown life forms have made contact with Steve!" A large man in a lab coat said. The woman turned her head, "Unknown? Is Steve manifesting them?" She asked, "Negative There are little to no positive correlations between the three entities" Another Scientist said. "So what are they doing there?"
"We are bringing a video feed of the event up," The bigger Scientist said. The screen flickered and showed a video of mike's encounter. "It was attacking him? Then the blue girl showed up and saved him?" The Mare asked as a scientist scurried into the room. "Madam, we have found something." Then breathlessly he continued. "Before we retrieved Steve from the Zombie he had been knocked unconscious.
Turning towards the monitor he wiped something across his board. It then appeared on the screen. It showed the creeper blast knocking him unconscious. "Here!" Said the scientist. He slid a set of stats onto the screen. They showed Steve's Brain and heart functions. "His brain is being extra active. Right up until the moment he woke." The scientist fast forwarded the video to show the drop in activity. Excitement subdued he hung backwards.
The woman was still staring at the screen as the creature was flying through the air. "What is on the drone?" The scientists looked at the picture and found abnormal lighting on Steve's face and the drone's underside. The first went to the computer; quickly he popped a set of charts up. "It has an entity signature." He continued. "The entity signature matches the one that he just came into contact with." The woman looked at the stats "The one who saved him?" The scientist looked up, "Yes."
Steve
"Blythe had come when I needed her. But what was life force?" he wondered as he finished putting his shelter together he started a quick open mine. After a couple of minutes he had dug about six 4x5 layers. When he climbed out he looked at wood and thought "Charcoal!" These bursts of knowledge were getting irritating. As he pounded the wood and let it pop into his backpack he headed home. When he got there he fashioned himself a furnace and burnt wood with wood in it.
After a minute he pulled out some charcoal. "Fashion a torch with it." his inner knowledge dictated. He affixed the charcoal to a stick and struck it on the wall. Sure enough a flame lit straight up; slightly surprised he held it and looked at it. He placed it on the wall and found that the shadows were getting longer. It was getting dark. Quickly he fashioned himself a Stone sword and watched out his windows as the living nightmares wandered the world.
Chapter 5
Steve's eyes drooped, and then he drifted off. Later he woke to a blast of sun on them. Surprised he stumbled away from his window. There in front of him was a zombie and its hideous moans had turned to screams.
As Steve watched the zombie disintegrate from a pillar of flame he saw things fall from the zombie. He cautiously walked out his door and picked them up. The zombie had dropped a helmet of strange material.
When Steve examined it he found that it was severely damaged. Sighing he put it into his pack and examined the other two items. One was a... "Carrot" His inner knowledge cried as if he was stupid, "Okay it’s a carrot." Steve muttered.
He dropped the carrot in his pack guessing it was a food item, then picked up a strange book that the undead creature had dropped. The title read "My Never-ending Life." Written by "Steve"
Astonished Steve turned to go inside. "Written by me?" As he opened the door the cover fell slightly open and he thought "Blythe told me to search for my past, but it seems that it has found me!" Steve closed the door and sat down to read.
"My Name is Steve. I live in a strange world; I don’t know how i got here or even who i truly am. This world is completely different from the one i remember. Here there are never-ending hordes of undead; there at least it had some semblance of peace.
I remember beautiful sights, Unrestrained by this blocky pallet. All you see here from the mystical islands to the Sky-touching maintains are miniature compared to my world. In fact i have found that this world is only 250 meters from adamantine (The Lowest layer to the point in which no blocks can be placed.)
The physics of my world do not exist. There are creatures here that would haunt your worst nightmare. The Nether is a prime example. If it is me reading this and not a random zombie, then i know that my final plan has failed. Maybe you can solve the mystery of why we cannot die! And you can defeat the ones who have entrapped us!
On page 50 i cut it out there is a device i created that tells your location. Use that and go to the points X: 0 Y: 450. If you make it there then you will learn my plan. Notch helps you if the Shadows notice you."
Steve turned to page 50 and a strange device tumbled out. It had a band and felt familiar. Slowly Steve slid it onto his arm. He hit the blue button on it and a screen popped up displaying where he was. "X: 1002 Y; 420" He reached down and grabbed his sword to head off. Above him a featureless Shadow danced in his footsteps.
Chapter 6
Lab
The Screens started to flash a deep red. The scientists stopped and started reading code. "Madam! We have another entity!" She looked at the screen "What is it?" "We have seen it before!" another scientist cried. "Its a World-Walker!" Explosions echoed distantly.
"What is it doing" She cried over the klaxons that had begun to sound. "It is throwing forces at our dimensional outposts!" A large explosion echoed through the base. "How is this affecting us?" She Yelled. "We are the Dimensional outpost!" At that the room blazed a light blue and the klaxons softened.
All of the computers and monitors powered off. The scientists freaked out as they tried to set their work stations back up. Blythe flicked her wrist and they paused mid-scramble. She walked up to the woman. "Claire" Blythe breathed softly. Claire stayed were she was.
Mustering all the authority she could she asked "Who are you? “You don't remember me?" Blythe asked softly. She waved her hand and her orb appeared beside her. It expanded showing a scene. Claire's eyes drew to it and she was immersed in it.
The orb began to play; It showed a scene eerily familiar to the one currently playing but it showed Claire much younger. "The World-walkers are treasonous." The orb Blythe said. "They made a treaty with us!" orb Claire replied. "You are a special species, but the World-walkers will destroy you." Blythe turned to go. Claire reached forward. "How can we stop them?" With a glance Blythe replied "attack first." Then she vanished in a flash of blue light.
The orb went blank and returned to its original size. "You were nearly destroyed last time you refuted my advice." Blythe said. "But the World-walkers are gone?" Claire said with confusion covering her face. "What attacked you then?" With that Blythe disappeared in a flash of blue light. The computers and monitors flashed back on and a minute later the scientists unfroze. Claire sat down and began to worry.
Mike
As mike neared X: 500 he started to see glimpses of a large construction wavering out of the limits of his vision. He walked towards it, as he neared it he saw it was made of a dark type of brick. "Netherbrick" His Inner knowledge offered. "Netherbrick?" He said, on the top he saw files of strange dark creatures acting as sentries on top. As he neared the fortress a blue light surrounded him.
Slowly he was forced away from the structure a voice whispered in his ear "Hurry, before he realizes who you are!" "Blythe?" He asked recognizing the voice. "Hurry!" She whispered as she forced him further from the fortress. He finally gave in and walked away from the fortress towards an unknown destination that he had set for himself. Behind them he heard a loud explosion.
Nikali
He sat on his throne. He was almighty! He had returned from the barren hell to reclaim this world where his people had fallen. He Located a group of humans in a intradimensional base. He ordered half of his Sub World-walkers to attack the human survivors. Their mortal flesh would die even if their souls were immortal. When a tenth of his troops returned defeated he was momentarily surprised.
"Of Course, Time moves differently in hell!" He waved his defeated troops away "They have advanc-" As he was speaking he felt a presence. Curiously he reached out through the fabric of this reality to find who it was. "Could another have survived out here?" As he touched the fabric of this reality he felt his connections to this world fading away.
He sensed the other realities but found none of his kind. As he moved closer to this familiar presence he forced himself to stay within this realm. he reached further his anticipation growing but when he touched the mind he fell back stunned. "He was Dead!" He cried and the Sub-Walkers ran from him. He reached out once more to reassure himself and found the soul for a second before he vanished.
He screamed and shattered the blocks around him. His Sub-Walkers Scattered as he flew into an enormous rage shattering the chamber before moving onto the Antechamber. "Steve!" He cried wildly "You will pay for what you have done to me!" As he shattered another room he sank to his knees and wept for his ponies.
Chapter 7
Steve
He stopped to check his coordinates. As he sat down he wiped his wrist across his forehead and sighed. Blythe had refused to say anything more about anything other than the fact that he had to get away from the fortress. So he had continued his journey. He glanced at the coordinates they said he was at x: 0 and Z: 410.
He looked up. whatever he had left for himself was here, Or very close. He got up and looked around, He saw nothing so he looked back at the coordinates and followed them to the exact ones. He almost didn't notice the pressure plate just lying on the ground. He took notice of it just before he stepped on it, He checked his coordinates and found that this was definitely the spot. So looking around he stepped on the pressure plate.
There was a slight noise almost like a block being placed, and then he was falling, the ground ripped from beneath him.As he tumbled down to unknown depths He thought wildly "A trap!" But he continued to tumble endlessly to the core of Minecraft. he looked down and saw a light fast approaching and accepted his fate. Ready to die he plunged into a pool of freezing water.
Slowly he floated to the surface. "I am alive?" He opened his eyes and found himself in a small room. He glanced around as he drug himself from the water. "Where am i?" He muttered. In front of him he noticed a torch blazing on the wall. Below that torch was a sign, It read; "You made it! Just follow the hallway and you will receive your answers." to the left of the sign was a Sparsely lit hallway.
Irritated Steve kicked the sign over as he passed it. He followed the Tunnel for some ways before it entered a vast cavern. In the middle was a giant glass cube. Through the glass it seemed as though there was a T shape made of blocks covered in faces, On the top were two darker skeleton heads. Just a bit above it was another head being held by a piston. There was a trail of redstone leading from it to a lever.
He looked at the lever and beside it he saw a chest. He opened the chest and found another book. On the front of it it said "Want your answers." Steve pulled it open and started to read.
"First things first. I killed myself. Since you are here, it means that i succeeded in destruction of most of my body. But since you are here, that also means i failed. I built this chamber for you. When you pull the lever it will summon the Wither king. He is a very wise creature but he is very destructive. Which explains the giant glass cube. Ask him about your past and he will tell you everything. This will be my last intended message to you. From now on you will bear your own destiny."
Steve looked up from the book and looked over at the glass cube. He nodded his head and flicked the lever. He watched the redstone activate and push the pistons activating more redstone. Finally the last piston pushed the head onto the body and the creature emerged from its shell. With a deafening explosion it ripped the inner portion of the glass cube to shreds. It's heads looked around the room and then converged on Steve.
"Who dares wake me from my eternal slumber!" The Wither thundered from inside the cube. Steve stepped forward to a hole in the glass. "I was told i could get answers from you." The heads pressed against each other and spoke again. "About yourself?" Steve looked at them and answered, "Yes" the wither began.
"Long ago humans were aligned with their own dimension with not more than theories of others. They fought wars against themselves and lied. Their race was despicable overall, But some were good. they understood the flows of the dimensions. These people changed the humans time and time again.
The World-Walkers were the same. They fought and died because of petty things they murdered and destroyed. The only difference is the World-Walkers did not dream. They lacked the ability of the humans. They were mortal.
Humans are a special race, Not because they are kind, nor completely evil. Their souls, or life force is their uniqueness. Their souls are immortal. All Humans at any one time occupy 5 separate dimensions or realms. Their physical realm consists of what they see and what they experience in physicality. Their mental realm were their feelings and thoughts reside. Their dream realm where their hopes and aspirations lie. And their realm of imagination, the realm of imagination is their most powerful it is this that allows transference into other dimensions Humans do this naturally. Though they do not understand that it is their Imagination that lets them dominate everything else.
The world-walkers discovered how to cross the worlds and quickly dominated fledgling universes. They continued to fight and destroy until they encountered a Human realm. There are an infinite number of Universes, So if the World-Walkers had not encountered the Humans then they might never have. They attacked the Humans who in this realm were still in what you remember as the Middle Ages. The Humans struck the World-Walkers down using their wit to adapt the World-Walkers technology.
Surprised the World-Walkers retreated to reconsider their options, they attacked another Human controlled realm and were defeated there as well. Slowly they realized they were no match for these creatures. they withdrew and did not attack again. Unfortunately they did not understand the full aspect of Human consciousness. While they were fighting the Human realms, the ideas and techniques were traversing the universes and being planted in all other Human universes.
Quickly Human development skyrocketed. Their connections with their fellow universes also grew though unseen. Literature propagated opening new realms. Technology surpassed enormous boundaries, Wars were fought and worlds were left devoid of life but on some humanity survived. These realms learned how to traverse the dimensions like the World-Walkers and began their domination."
Steve looked up "But what does this have to do with me?" "Everything." The Wither replied. and continued to speak.
"Humanity remembered the world-walkers as nightmares, they destroyed all they came across. Slowly the world-walkers dominion began to fade. Finally a battle was fought over a key world in the Human regime. It was a world that had been explored and built in countless times. It was the subject of a video game, This world was held in high regard because it was an amazing phenomena. The World-Walkers came to make a final stand" The Wither looked at Steve again. "You Struck the final blow." The wither continued, "You understood the power of the Human conscious and you destroyed the World-Walkers. You were the Apex Predator. That is why you are trapped here on a desolate world carefully left to live eternally, until you were needed once more."
The wither stared at Steve "This is what you had wished to know. But i will tell you more. You did not destroy them all. One remains, and now he knows you live.
Chapter 8
Mike
He Turned and walked away from the Wither. Stopping suddenly he asked, "He will want to kill me?" The withers heads rustled "Yes, Now kill us." Steve turned towards them then looked down at a sign, it read;"If Done Click this." Steve clicked it and the air filled with the sound of rushing arrows. The arrows flew from all sides of the room and entered the cube through holes in the glass.
As they impacted the wither, he laughed "Release to the void!" He cried. Then his body flickered and exploded into a column of smoke. A strange object fell from the smoke and fell through the glass. Steve approached it, it spun almost eagerly. As he neared it he noticed that it bore the shape of a star, And decorating it was a map through a hellish land. Slowly the star drew close to Steve then vanished into his pack.
Shaking his head Steve followed a path dotted with torch illuminated signs reading "Exit." As Steve neared the end of this path all he saw was a patch of water. He got into it feeling somewhat ridiculous and hit a button beside him. He heard sounds things being pushed and then he heard a telltale hiss. Above him he heard a sound and looked up to see a path being created in the ceiling.
The block he was standing on vanished as the last block was retracted from the top. With a deafening roar he was shot from the block of water. It seemed like a reverse of his entrance. As he soared higher he saw the ground beneath him begin to close. At his highest point he could see the world below him.then he began to plummet once more.'
An instant before he hit the ground a source block of water was spat out of a squat gray machine. Surprised Steve stumbled from the block of water unharmed. In front of him he found a Structure made of purple rock, As he stepped forward it lit with a purple glow. Steve stepped backwards surprised, As he did the he felt something give under his foot and the portal dissappeared.
Steve looked at the ground and found something lying there, His Inner knowledge spoke "Pressure plate. produces a electrical charge when stepped on." Steve stepped on the pressure plate once more and the purple glow reappeared. with a deep breath steve stepped through.
Lab
"He has summoned conversed with and destroyed the Wither boss." Claire looked around, startled by the voice. It spoke again "He has entered the nether realm, Where Nikali resided for nearly three thousand years." Claire discerned the voice "Blythe?" She asked.
The voice continued, "He will need supplies if he is to survive in that world" Claire looked around trying to discern Blythe's wherabouts "He has survived this far..." Blythe's voice turned cold, "What happens when he dies, and you can't save him?" Claire sighed and keyed in some codes then gave a voice clarification. Blythe appeared in front of her, wavering slightly. "You should not waste your key weapon," Her tone turned mocking "in a war that is three thousand years ended." Then blythe dissapeared.
Nikali
A sub-walker approached him as he was walking through his fortress. "He no longer resides within this dimension, Master." Nikali looked at the dark creature. "Where does he reside then?" "He has entered the Nether dimension." Nikali Looked at the rising moon and began to laugh, "Then hopefully he has fun. Destroy his side of the portal." Nikali turned and walked back to his newly redone Throne Room.
Mike
As the purple particles faded from his eyes Steve found himself in a hellish world. He looked at the Star the Wither had dropped, Quickly he discerned different areas shown on the map. As he walked forward a set of Blue armor fell from nowhere, Along with a Blue shimmering sword. as he picked them up he heard a pop from behind him. He spun around, to find that the portal had closed behind him. Shuddering he put the armor on and began to follow the path laid out on the withers star.
Chapter 9
Steve
After an hour of walking through this boiling terrain on the strange organic rock, He came across a tribe of strange creatures. They were grotesque; their decaying bodies seemed to fit the landscape. As he passed them they stared at him, Fiendish eyes feasting on his blue armor.
Quickly he passed through the group. Beyond them was a solid strata of blocks. On the sides of them were faces that seemed to be suffering moments of extreme agony. As he ventured further into the desert a low murmuring filled his head. Ahead of him he caught sight of a large building imposing itself upon the landscape.
As he neared the front of the building he gasped for air. The Voices taunted him as he drug his feet along the ground. He collapsed and tears ran from his eyes. In little streams they ran before falling and vaporizing on the horribly hot rock.
He trudged closer then tripped, the faces turned to sickening leers and began to scream at him. He grunted trying to pull himself from the ground. Slowly he rose and laid his fingers on the wall, He felt a strange sensation on his feet.
He looked down and realized that the faces had started gnawing on him. Their cackles had grown and his legs seemed to be losing substance. He screamed once then was enveloped by a blue light.
The pain in his feet evaporated and he lost consciousness.
Blythe
She watched as he slowly transferred dimensions. His form solidified and his body resumed consciousness. She willed her body to substance and placed herself in his view. She watched him as he turned his head and recapped the events of the previous hours.
He looked towards her with questioning eyes but she drew her sword from her sheath and a blue glow went over them once more.
Lab
Klaxons blared; the scientists wrung their hands as the data came on the screen. "He has left this reality" Claire muttered while keying in codes on a touchpad. Seconds later a humanoid face projected itself above the screen. "He has left your realm?" A toneless voice rang out. Claire righted herself "Yes and a World-Walker has been found to have survived." The head remained motionless, "Perhaps Steve is not as powerful as thought?" Claire shook her head, "Our psychologists have determined that it was Steve who allowed him to live."
Steve
He closed his eyes from the intensity of the light. "What is this he gasped" All he received was a chuckle as the lights lowered. He opened his eyes cautiously and found himself looking at a thousand moving pictures. "What is this?" He asked confused. Blythe moved into his line of sight, "You are in the void." Steve looked at her and chuckled "The void is supposed to be empty!" Blythe shook her head "The void does not exist."
Steve looked around "Then where am I?" "The void" Blythe responded. Steve shook his head, "Okay why am I here? To look at photos?" Blythe turned him and he saw an unending multitude of photos. "Lots of photos." he murmured, "These are all realities that run parallel to your own. In all of these realities there are two constants; that there are three entities who traverse them and that in all of them combined you are the most powerful being."
Steve glanced at Blythe "The Wither stated that humans existed in four or five separate realities. How could I exist in all of these?" Blythe waved her hand and a thread uncoiled from her arm, on the thread Steve saw him repeated over and over again. "You exist like me. You exist in all dimensions because you grasped the power of the human consciousness and put it to use. You are the most deadly weapon in the existence of weapons!" Steve looked at her, "Fine, if I am that powerful then I am leaving the place that doesn't exist." In a red flash Steve disappeared.
Chapter 10
Council
"The meeting is commenced; all words henceforth are to be recorded." Commanded a toneless voice.
"Bring that who is the witness."
Claire stepped up onto a pedestal.
"Have you lost your charge?"
She brought her chin up and stared defiantly.
"Giving an immensely powerful man to be held within a realm by a group of scientists was not wise."
The voices rose to a murmur.
"Perhaps, Next time we will not be so foolish.
Nikali
"My forces grow! Steve has left this realm, i can feel it. My adversary is either dead or he has fled." Nikali shut his eyes remembering a home long lost. "Wherever he may be i ask his blood to be tarnished over his loved ones." In an aside, "As he has done to me."
A shadow-walker ran to him. "The new plant is functional." Nikali's eyes clouded as his fingers brushed a grey crystal that was imbedded in a necklace at his throat. An instant later he and the world walker were suspended over the new plant. "Good, Inform me of the progress, One.
Vive
The man strode surely across the beach. With his face to the sun he seemed to exude joy at being alive. A bluish tint floated in front of him and he seemed to converse with it.
Steve
"Goodbye Blythe. I hope we meet again" Without a look at her thread Blythe responded "We will." Then they sat by the water’s edge till the last bit of the suns light was ripped from sight.
Blythe stood up and drew her sword. She turned towards Steve and touched him with the sword once on each shoulder than a reverentially she touched him in the middle of the forehead. "May your days be long" She whispered.
Her body began to pulse a deep vibrant blue. She lifted her hand and placed it on Steve’s chest. Her body dissolved into a fine dust that catching the moons light sparkled. The dust rose high into the sky and the moon changed colors, from an eye piercing white to a breathtaking deep blue.
Vive
She approached him after he had begun walking once more. Her eyes followed his graceful movements. "He will not be easy." She thought to herself.
As she came closer he tensed and spun around. He stared confusedly at her for a moment. Finally comprehension began to darken his face.
Steve
Her appearance was breathtaking. Her hair was a deep but rich black. Her eyes matched her aura a deep green. Without speaking he turned and began to walk with her taking the lead.
She stopped and turned for a minute. "My name is Vive" Her eyes met his and she took the lead once more. Walking slowly down a beach on a world devoid of life.
Chapter 11.
Unknown
The figure strode forward under the twilight glow of an orb, eyes peering from within its veil. He walked through the great room walking through masses of demonic writing on the marble floor. Throughout the massive area, his light footsteps echoed heavily, sounds reverberating throughout.
When he neared the center of the walkway, he lowered himself to the ground. Whilst carefully examining the writing he began to chant something in a strange tongue. "Et flamma ignis coit cadet"
It chanted this for a minute then brought itself from the ground and began chanting another set of words faster. "Obtenebrabitur ignibus ante, sit Phoenix et vivetis." After saying it twice, he took a step forward into the middle of the room, and kneeled in the floor.
Around the room fires began to blaze, they quickly spread and headed towards the figure from all sides. An unearthly howl came from the fire as it converged upon the kneeled figure. Two seconds after it consumed the figure a large pair of wings sprouted from the fire.
A giant bird itself seemed to be made of molten rock and fire stood and bathed in the flames. With a screeching howl, it jumped from within the fire and burst through the ceiling above. The fire turned blue, and then orange, before retreating like mist before a gale.
Vive
"Before the end is the worst part of a storm." She murmured to herself as she watched Steve walk forward clad in black armor. "How does it look?" He asked with a chuckle. She grinned keeping her inner turmoil to herself. "Tempered obsidian is a mans best friend!" She offered. He looked at her and nodded, "If only Dragons were too." He said before retreating into his room.
She turned towards her room and sat in her chair. "They had been through ten universes so far. Steve seemed to be making a big mark on the human consciousness, because in every universe he was treated well. Here however they mistook him for a legendary hero, then proceeded to beg him to save them from the dragon that was terrorizing the town."
Her head turned slightly towards the door, "Did she hear something?" A green light eased from her fingertips over to the door, at the base of the door the light lingered. A green sprout shot up from the wood then grew into an odd variety of a plant. This plant had an eye. She tapped into its nervous system from where she sat and directed its movements.
Using her plant, she observed two men sneaking towards Steve's Room. With a flick of green energy, a plant sprouted in both their shoes. They halted, a glazed look covering their eyes. She wormed her way into their psyche to see what they were thinking. A second later she had her answer "They wanted pieces of Steve's clothing" She turned them around and banished those thoughts from their heads.
She shook her head. "Tomorrow Steve would fight the infamous dragon. She had reason to believe it was not a dragon though. The way the normal reports of people seeing dragons resembled high gravity atmospheric vessels couldn’t be an accident. It was hopefully just something carried forever onwards by the human psyche." She didn’t like the idea of fighting advanced humans or worse, advanced extraterrestrials. With that, she leaned back in her chair and went to sleep.

The majestic molten bird flew high into the sky surveying its new realm. It had been chased from its old realm by evil creatures that were not of its world. A tear plummeted towards the ground as the bird flew higher. Far below it, it heard a horrible noise. Screeching trying to out scream the noise it tried to retreat back to its lair where it would be safe.
A golden tinge lit the night and raucous screams rent the air, as the bird fell to the earth fire blazing a trail behind it. Seconds before it would hit the ground it pulled sharply up. A bluish-yellow had overtaken its eyes. It flew off into the night sure of its destination.

Character species: World-Walker (see bio)
Character alignment: Evil
Inventory: A black-bladed sword, Jewel of Dimensions (what allows him to go into dreams)
Bio: He is the last of the World-Walkers, an evil race which used Jewels found in their world to enter other worlds, even dreams. Most of the World-Walkers were removed after a war between them and the Humans, but Nikali lived because he transported to the Nether right as an arrow flew towards him. He was assumed to be dead. He now seeks revenge on the human race, and will do anything to obliterate them. He has still remained in the Nether, so he doesn't know that there is only one human left (Steve).

How interesting. I just caught up and read Chapter 3 and 4. Blythe really gets in. I forgot to add that Blythe's age is unknown, but she looks quite young and the age I put in the app.

She goes to dreams in the mind of mortals when they are in need of warning or other perspectives on life (she is usually vague and confusing). She uses her orb to see into different realities in different people, her sword to make sure no one interferes with her conversations (nightmares away), and her thread to weave and go through histories.
Accepted. Expect Blythe in... Chapter 3? or 4?
Just occurred to me... Why no support?
Reason-wise please.
I can only get better.

Good story
Interesting...
I will change the bio a little bit. He fits perfectly though
