As you may already know, Shadows of Reality has been put on hold due to writer's block. However, this story has arisen to replace all that has been put on hold. So, here we go:
My name is Herobrine.
I have destroyed the lives of thousands of people. Someone had been using me as their puppet. I destroyed them, but an ever greater threat stole an item of power from the same person.
A mask. It sounds weird, but its all a mask. It's black on the left and red on the right. The eye is covered up on the red side, but the other can be seen through the black side. The man's name is Niror. One by one, he has captured every monarch, king, or elder. I was his last target before he took out my brother.
After the killing of the "puppeteer," I lost all my powers. At least, those powers. I unlocked a new one. Niror was already powerful without the mask, though. I was nothing compared to what he could do.
I had gotten into this situation because of a 13-year-old girl. We had different reasons for wanting to stop Niror. But the situation I was in was crazy. We were battling on a bridge over lava. He had disabled my ability of flight somehow, also disabling his.
I kept shooting beams, trying to hit Niror in his one weak spot. But he knew what I was trying to do. Finally he charged at me. I tried to jump, but he jumped too. He hit me with his axe and I fell down, down, down into the lava.
All this may seem weird but trust me, there's a perfectly logical explanation for all of this.
Chapter One:
It all began on a cold winter's night. It was freezing in my mountain home, even with a fire. Amazing how even a god can feel cold. I, for one, was making a hot drink. The mountains actually wasn't a bad place to live. Not many mobs around, making it quite peaceful. The quiet also added to this factor.
I looked out my window. It was snowing hard outside. This kind of snowstorm was unusual. It was only November. I had been living here for almost longer than I could remember. Back in civilization, I was a demon. The worst of the worst.
There are points when I'm not... me. All I can do is watch as something else controls me. At least, it used to. Life was dull and my brother didn't visit often. I wanted more, but the people hated me. Even my own brother was one of them.
A terrible life for a terrible person. Like it was karma. Except it wasn't my fault. I wished for all my life to change it. Just to go back in time just once and fix everything.
But this day was unlike the others. I heard a knock on the door and opened it. A girl stood in there. She was only 13 by the looks of it. She was freezing and had no coat except a torn leather tunic.
Her armor was mainly broken and there were many scars on her body. Her right arm was bleeding and her face was very pale. She shivered as she talk, hardly able to finish the sentence she spoke.
"Can I come..." she said, then adding in a small voice, "come in?"
"Of course, of course," I said, "I always welcome company."
She waked with a limp and I noticed that her foot was turned in an awkward position. She was in bad shape, whatever happened to her. I brought her over to the fire and for the first time in a while, tried to use my powers.
I managed to make her a cup of tea with the snap of my fingers. I gave it to her and sat on the couch opposite of the girl. I took out a piece of paper and a slimeball and made a temporary bandage, putting it on her arm.
She couldn't even talk for a while. I managed to keep her from fainting or worse until then. I had no clue what could've happened to her.
"H-h-hello," she said.
"Hi," I said calmly, "What's your name?"
"My name is Ann," she said.
"Would you like to tell me a bit about yourself?"
"I would, b-but... I can't remember a thing.""You've lost your memory?" I asked Ann.Description: Herobrine meets a strange girl in his mountain home.
Chapter Two:
"Yes," she said, "I just woke up in a forest. I was living in the forest for about a month. Then a man... a man in a mask... he burned it all down. I was stuck in the cold for a while looking for something to build a new house with. I eventually found my way here."
"Well, you're welcome to stay here as long as you like," I said, "I always welcome company."
"Thank you," she said. Now paying a bit more attention, I saw something on her arm. It wasn't exactly a watch. It seemed that somebody had implanted something into her wrist. I decided not to bother her until she recovered.
After a few days of staying in my house, I was beginning to get curious. This was a Pandora's Box sort of situation. But finally, I couldn't help but ask.
"What's that?" I asked, pointing at the object I had noticed.
"I don't know," Ann said, "It's been stuck in my wrist as long as I remember. I can't get it out."
"Let me have a look at it," I said. She put her arm forward and I looked all around it. Nothing seemed unusual. It just looked like a bit of silver. But when I touched an area on it, a holographic image appeared.
It showed a man, but his face was unable to be seen. Though I couldn't see his face, I felt like he was smiling. But then I realized it wasn't just an image, it was a recording.
"Why hello, Herobrine," he said, "I am Niror. You may not know me, but I know everything about you. I knew the girl would come here. I knew you would find her. I know everything that you don't. Like for instance, you would save this girl you barely know and sacrifice your own life if you have to.
"Now that you're hearing this message, I should tell you one last thing. In a very short amount of time, this device will send a tiny splash potion filled with a deadly toxin straight into her. But if you press this again, nothing will happen to her. However, it will kill you in the process. You have thirty seconds. You know what to do."
"WHAT THE-?" Ann screamed, tugging at the device. Having thirty seconds to live wasn't exactly what she thought she would hear. Even if I were to break the device, I would destroy the potion and kill the both of us.
"Twenty seconds," Niror said. Suddenly I knew what else would last a short time. I ran into another room and pulled out a Strength II potion. I drank it quickly and ran back into the room.
"Ten seconds," Niror said as if he were pleased. I tugged at the device and finally ripped it out.
"Fi-fi-fi-fiiii..." the device said before shutting off. Luckily, Ann wasn't bleeding. However, she did have some nasty scars. At least she was safe.
"Uh... thanks," Ann said.
"Something tells me this isn't the last we'll be hearing of that Niror guy," I said, "Until then, stay with me. I think this may be my chance to prove myself. Oh, I probably haven't gotten a chance to explain all that...
"Well, around just about everywhere in the world, I'm treating like a criminal. I don't know what happens, but sometimes I can't control myself. It's like someone else is controlling me. I wind up creating destruction.
"Something tells me that Niror is up to this. If I can stop him, maybe I'll become what I want to be. Just a regular person and not the criminal people think I am. But I guess I'll need help. You're the only person I can trust. So, will you help me?"
Ann didn't take very much time to think before she said, "Yes." Description: A message is left behind from a new villain.
Chapter Three:
The next day me and Ann agreed that we were going to have to assemble a group if we were to fight Niror. I painted a skeleton skull and put it on for disguise. Me and Ann headed into town and looked around.
But just as we were entering, a man charged at us. He was wearing a red-and-black mask. No, it wasn't Niror. At least, not this time. He held a flaming sword. I jumped back.
I backflipped out of the way. Ann took out an iron sword and attempted to fight off the man. I charged in with my sword and stabbed him in the side. He turned and attempted to stab me.
But then ice formed around his arm. I noticed Ann's armed was outstretched. Her hand was glowing with a pale blue color.
"Di-Did I do that?" she said, scared.
•••
"Town?" I said, "What the heck happened here? Then again, it has been 2000 years…"
We had just arrived in Synocha Town, which was now Synocha City. People seemed to ignore me, luckily. Then I saw someone running away with many gold bars. Obviously stolen.
Then through the alley came a boy of about fifteen. He punched the guy right in the face before I could move a muscle. Just then some enforcers came and the boy returned the gold bars.
He walked over to us and said, "Hey, I'm Jason. You guys gotta be careful out here. There are criminals everywhere. And I have nothing else to do so I tend to stop them."
"Well," I said, "I'm trying to save the world from a potential madman who attempted to poison this girl. Wanna come?"
"Uh… sure," Jason said, "Wait… you sound familiar."
"No… I don't."
"Yeah, you do. You're Herobrine!"
"Sssssh! Not here. Wait, don't you want to kill me?"
"Nah, I don't judge a book by it's cover. I think it's time for me to move on from the common criminal anyway."
"Hey… don't I get a say in this?" Ann asked.
We both looked at her and said the same thing, "No."
"Plus, I'm in charge here," I said, "I'll decide who comes in here or not."
"Oh, I forgot to show you I can do this," Jason said. He help up his arm. Nothing looked different until it suddenly turned into metal.
"Pretty cool, huh?" he said. Then I heard footsteps. Fast ones. I turned to see the man who had attacked us before. I help up my hand to use my powers, but nothing happened.
"Miss me?" the man said. Description: Ann discovers a strange new power of hers; Herobrine befriends a boy who can turn into metal.

Herobrine, a character mentioned in this story, is entirely fake along with the magic abilities characters have.
My mind just thinks of experiences or people I'd make in a role-play, hahahaha, and I turn them into characters. Like Celeste in "Visions To The Past: Void" was just made by me.
