I can't exactly understand how this works. Care to do a more in-depth explanation?
It's quite simple. All the authors will be discussing through a private conversation. Together we will collaborate on certain events we want to happen in the story. Each author takes a turn writing a chapter. Once everyone has taken their turn, we begin the cycle again until the story is finished. Simple as that.
I'm debating whether or not I want to be a part of this. I really think it'll be a blast, but at the same time, I wonder if I'll have enough time on my paws hands for it, or be able to finish up Cubic Fire and put in the necessary Epilogue in time. (Assuming the epilogue needs to be in the fan fiction at the time of Rift's beginning. I'm a bit foggy on how one meets the requirements to apply for it.)

Just have a fanfiction that is at least planned to have 20 chapters or more. If you don't finish by the time it starts, then the current events that have happened in your story will happen, but not the ones that come later in your story. It's like Rift takes place in a copy universe.
Alright, well, I've certainly got my 20 chapters... Now, which character(s)? Lupi and Tyron would seem good. It'll be nice to have somewhere to go with those two after Cubic Fire is finished. I like Lupi, he's a fun character.
