So, I decided to have my minecraft character keep a journal in-game. That quickly became problematic, so I started keeping it in a google-doc.
Some of my friends enjoyed it so much that they asked to play it with me and be incorporated into the story. To keep things interesting, I played the whole game on hardcore mode. We lost three people in total, out of the seven or so that played on the server, but here's the story:

There's still a sequel to this story pending--but doing this kinda revived minecraft for me and a small group of people.
Wow, very engaging concept! Your exposition to the story leaves room for discovery of the main character, a vague enough explanation of the current events, and motive for the protagonist to venture and explore regardless of danger. Very well done.
So, the first part is done. The second part will be me taking on Wither and discovering more about the origins of the pathogen. Basically, as Mojang adds bosses, I'll add onto it.
