A few months ago, I had downloaded .jar file for Minecraft, you know, the ones you use to create a server with. Anyways, I started playing and I just go into it and I was making some plans for a LAN party with my friends, so I decided to build some buildings, towns and such. A few days later, I was just doing my unfinished business with my server until another player joined. I just thought it was my younger brother being annoying, as I had told him before that he was not allowed to connect to my server. I stood up and went into our computer room, where my brother usually plays. I didn't find him and the computer was turned off. I started calling him and I got no answer. I went outside and I then realized I forgot they were going out tonight and I didn't want to join because I was busy with my server. Well, as I told you before, this server was local, so no one could join unless they had our internet connection. I checked the networks list and I found no one connected except me. When I came back, I saw that this player was still online. His username was just "Player", so I guess he had no username. I started talking in the chat, and I never got answers back. I just ignored it as I thought it was a bug. Later when I went from a town I built to go build something outside of the town, I left a chest there with some goods for the town was a starting area. When I came back, all the stuff was gone and all that was left was a book. The thing is, I didn't put the book there. Well, I took the book and decided to read it. On the first page it was written "Od uoy ikel iglypan twih em?"
I just sat there, staring at the letters, trying to figure out what the hell that meant. A minute later I figured out it was word scramble. I tried re-ordering them and what I got was "Do you like playing with me?"
I froze, exited the game, shut off the server and went to bed.

Since then I have never opened the server. I haven't deleted it, though.

And more importantly, I ain't lying. :|

You seem panicked, kinda cool that someone managed to get the name Player.

Don't worry, it was just Hero*rine with a new skin.

If your server was in offline mode someone can log in as anyone. So someone was probably trolling you.

This is creepy, but not that creepy. When you say local, though, it makes me think LAN. Was it that or an actual server?

I live in a small town in Iceland, and in my town there is not a single hacker.
Yes, this was LAN. Also, I made sure if there was someone around my house, using my router or IN my house.
Whoever this thing was, I don't want to come in contact with it again on this server. I haven't dared opening it since this happened.

Player is a name given to people in offline mode without a modification to change it.

Unless some hacker found your server, this is fake.
