His Shadow

His shadow took away the light,
That was coming from the hearth.
His whispers, gossips and lies,
Were spread across the Earth.
He bent down low and held his chin up,
He overlooked the souls in his box.
Threw away the key,
Lock never to be unlocked.
His long black cloak,
Sewn from despair and fear.
A crown spun from wickedness,
From the Void the past year.
His mind was someplace else,
Knowing he had slain the knight.
A light emitted from the dark,
That shadow would not be right.
He rose his Kingly head,
Cackling with an echo going there and here.
He pondered on this matter,
He stopped when afraid of fear.
His shadow spread across the room,
That took away the light.
Once he left, the candle lit.
Waiting to see the sight.
