ABOUT THIS POST:
The chapters coming after the 7th Chapter may not be able to fit in the first post. So, I am adding them here.
Book 1. The Overworld (Chapter 8+)
Chapter 8. A Friendly Explosion
***Golem, Aura and Trevor***
The clock ticked: 10:30 PM
The door of Cabin 9 swung open and a Zombie appeared in front of them, panting. Beads of sweat forming at his forehead and fresh blood stained his uniform.
"Report to the Cart Station quickly! The prisoners you will be transporting are being escorted there at this very moment." the Zombie stopped and took in a few breaths. Which was quite weird, considering the reality of him being undead. The surprised trio stared at him for a few moments until he caught his breath. "The Cart Station is just behind all the Cabins. Climb up Cobblestone Tower Transportation 1. You should get it from there. Now."
The trio stood up from their table and walked out the door almost as quickly. The cave was the same and their eyesight rapidly strained, placing redstone torches here and there, unnoticed by everyone but themselves.
They followed a long, winding path with dirt covering most of it. The strong smell of rotting flesh had lessened, the trio relieved. The darkness became darker and the redstone torches were almost of no help at all to them.
They climbed a rusty set of stairs. Becoming more flights of stairs and leading to different stations from one to the other. One sign said: "TRANSPORT TO BASE 3." Another said, "TRANSPORT TO CREEPER CAVE." They shuddered as they passed it by.
Finally, after a few minutes and nearing closer to exhaustion, they reached a tunnel with a sign, written on it were: "TRANSPORT TO ZVZ GLADIATOR ARENA." They reached for the walls as they entered, and as the Zombie said, two Pigmen were standing side by side behind two cuffed human prisoners. Under the small light, Reynie and Brimble winked at them. They winked back, with less enthusiasm.
***All***
Five rusty carts came, along the rusty tracks. Zombie Golem took the leading cart, Zombie Aura took the middle, Zombie Trevor took the last, and Reynie and Brimble took the carts in between them all. They were able to talk more on the plan on the way there. Just to clarify each other.
The railroad went above the whole cave, with sights of the whole city. They would've had a grand ride, but that was not an option to them, not right now anyway.
"Ding, ding!" The Noteblocks rang. They arrived at ZVZ Gladiator Arena. The Arena was huge, it was a bit smaller than one in Rome, but still. Huge. Ginormous. Fit for a Giant. Once closer, you could see, block by block, the Arena. Every little block of effort to build this humongous slaughter cage. Created with Quartz, Obsidian, Stone, and about maybe 50 random blocks. If they didn't know it was an Arena, they wouldn't ever know unless they saw all that dried up blood and rotting body parts.
At the backstage gates, 5 pairs of Zombie Pigmen guards held up their Golden Swords, "You have been given clearance! Enter!" They shouted in a chorus. They moved their arms and hands to salute us as we passed them by. By the looks, here, everything was dead serious about punishing.
They all gathered into a room, weaponry and armory in baskets everywhere. Some humans were sitting on benches, hurt and weary. Cuts and bruises invaded their skin and into their bones, scarring them physically and mentally.
"I'm nervous." Aura whispered into Trevor's ear. "Don't worry, it'll be fine." he held her hand and smiled. She smiled back, slightly hard to see through a mask. Golem looked at them and shrugged. That was his sister. She was always so obvious, the Zombies must've been really stupid for them to get this far. They were ever so thankful for that.
