Day 1: Noon
Today, I awoke on a beach with my head pounding. I could hear chicken and sheep in the distance, and the repetitious harmony of water and waves. I was alone and in a different place, almost like a whole new world. I should try and get a shelter up and something to light my way when the night comes. I have discovered that if you punch a tree hard enough it will pop off the trunk. Also some sediment is affected by gravity such as sand and gravel.
Day 1: Night
As night approaches my moral grows weak. I have had nothing to eat for almost 12 hours and I am feeling the emptiness. I did not find anything to make a fire with so the shelter is dim. My shelter consists of various materials; sand, dirt and wood to name a few. I have figured out that I can craft things using the wood I gathered from the trees I punched. I have crafted a worktable so I can make tools easier. I have made a pickaxe and a sword, and in the morning, I will go mine some stone so I can get tools that will last for longer periods of time. As the sun sets the monsters come out: zombies rising from the ground, as well as skeletons with bows and arrows. Giant spiders are skittering all around my dinky little shelter. These green monsters are just walking everywhere, they look sad and alone. They might just need a hug, or a friend. This is going to be a long, dark night.
Day 2: Morning
I have seen the sun rise over the hills, and a peculiar thing happened, the zombies and skeletons started to burn. As I stepped out of my shelter, I see a giant spider on my roof minding its own. I am going to steer clear of the green monsters for now, it does not seem that they burn in the sunlight but I am still weary of them. I am going to look for a cave system for some rock to make more tools out of and hopefully some coal to make a torch out of.
Day 2: Noon
After I found the cave, I mined some stone and the stone was infinitely less heavy then I initially thought. I have mined about 60 pieces of said stone and I found 3 pieces of coal. I figured if I use the coal sparingly I can get 4 torches per 1 coal. As I was crafting tools at the worktable, I found out that I can make a furnace to cook/smelt things in. I am almost starving; I will need to find food before tonight…
Day 2: Night
I had found a herd of cows near a beach just after I wrote last. I killed one with my stone sword I made, and skinned it and got the meat off of it. It was a small cow so I only got 1 piece of leather and 2 raw steaks from it. I cooked the steaks in the furnace with some wood and I crafted a chest out of some wooden planks I made from some wood that I chopped with a stone axe. My stomach is no longer empty, my shelter is no longer dark, and I am no longer unarmed. The sun is setting and the monsters are coming out again, I pray it to be a safe night.
Day 3: Morning
I witnessed something of spectacle last night; a green monster walked up to my base and looked in… it looked so alone, so sad. I have decided to watch them further, sense they are the color of a creeper vine I have named them simply “creepers”. I must go back to the cave I found and get more resources.
Day 3: Night
I spent all day mining and was lucky to get back before the monsters awoke. I found several sliver rocks while I mined; I found out I could smelt them in to bars or ingots. I used 3 of them to make an iron pickaxe and 2 of them for a pair of shears to get wool from the sheep that roam near my shelter. Tomorrow I will have some nice soft wool to sleep on, but for now I’ll stay awake and watch the monsters and creepers roam.
Day 4: Noon
I sheared some sheep and collected wool off of 3 sheep, enough to lay on some planks for a bed. I also decided that I will make my time here productive; I replaced all of the materials on my house with planks and some glass for windows. I found out to make glass you just put sand in a furnace, and I found a flock of chicken near the sheep, so I picked up what eggs I saw. I am going to see if I can find some seeds for some wheat or maybe a potato to grow.
Day 4: Night
I have made a basic farm from some seeds I found and some water from a lake I am near. Hopefully the crop will come in soon, but tonight I will sleep in my bed that I made. I hope this morning will come early.
Day 5: Early Morning
I woke up to sounds of a nightmare-ish creature. I have heard of it only in lore, the “Endermen”. They follow you and steal materials from everything. This creature can kill me in one foul swoop. I hope it is just in my head. I look through my window to see a sad face looking back… a creeper knows I am here.
Day 5: Morning
I did not sleep much after I woke up last night, I was thinking about how I got here and where and who I was when I got here. I did not remember much but I did remember something, my name. Steve was and still is my name, but Steve who? Was I an important figure in the world that I previously lived on, did I have a wife and kids, and more importantly how did I get here? I am going to go for a walk and think about things.
Day 5: Noon
I just got back from my walk and I noticed that sound, the sound of an Enderman. I can’t tell if I am just imagining it or if it is following me. I also found another cave with some more iron and coal inside it. My farm is growing slowly but surely, and I am running out of pages in my notebook. I must find a source of paper. I remember that reeds can be made into paper, but how did I know this…
Day 6: Morning
Yesterday was a slow day; I need more food and some reeds. There were reeds near a pond yesterday and some cows still at the beach. I need to get my mind off of why I am here…
Day 6: Afternoon
I found out when caving for some more coal that monsters spawn in dark areas and that the light from torches don’t burn them, but prevent them from coming out. I put torches around my base, hopefully this helps them stay back.
Day 6: Night
I saw one….. I dared not to look at it, but I saw it out of the corner of my eye. They are real…
Day 7: Morning
I am going to be productive today. I am going to harvest the crops I grew, they look like wheat, and I am going to see if I can pin-up some animals to breed them and get more food and wool. I found out that the leather that I get from the cows can be crafted in to armor. I have made a helmet and a chest piece.
Day 7: Noon
The animals follow the wheat like its gold, mesmerized at the sight of it. I have made fences out of sticks and have pined 2 of each animal; cow, sheep, chicken, and pig. I have collected more eggs and have got milk from the cows, I added wheat to the mix and I got a cake. It kind of popped out of the bowl fully baked and fully iced, it looks delicious. I will save it for a special occasion.
