I woke up this morning in the middle of a large field. Wasn't really expecting this. There were mountains and trees and animals grazing in the fields. I stood up and started learning how to walk again. I looked up at the blazing hot summer sun and then over at a group of pigs. My mouth began to slightly water. I hid behind a small tree and focused on one of the larger swines. And with the remaining energy I had, I charged at the pig and tackled it to the ground. The pig rustled from underneath me, trying to escape. And with the sightest touch, I put the pig to rest. All of the other pigs ran away from me with fear. I stood back up and looked down at my pray. Today, I learned hunting...and slaughtering.
Day One (Nightime): After my feast, I stuffed the remaining meat into my pockets and started to walk towards one of the bigger mountains, hoping to seek shelter. I'm not sure how long I walked for. I believe I walked till sunset. As night began to fall. I looked around at the trees, their leaves rustling in the night wind. I looked for a tree that I could sleep in for the night. I found a tall tree and climbed up it. I nested myself in the leaves of the tree. A couple hours passed by, I was slowly drifting off to sleep. All of the sudden, I heard a strange hissing noise, coming from below my temporary tree house. I opened my eyes and gently looked down to the ground. I saw a strange green creature standing underneath the tree I was sitting in. I quickly looked around for something to throw at it. But then I remembered something. I remembered seeing this "creature" in a dream from my childhood. I remember the effect if you disrupt this creature. They were called "Creepers". I panicked as I looked around for some source of weapon. I took a twig from a branch and threw it down onto the creeper. The creeper looked up at me and began to inflate. I ducked under the leaves and covered my head. I heard an explosion from below and opened my eyes slowly. I looked back down at the ground and saw a giant hole. I sighed with relief and went back to sleep. Tonight, I learned what not to do when you see a creeper.
Lets just say, after the creeper, I did not close my eyes for a second last night. If it wasn't for my tree house, I would have died then and there. I climbed down the trunk of the tree and started walking towards another mountain. I pasted a few herds of cattle and sheep along the way. And then I realized, I need to find some tools. I looked around at the trees around me, then looked at my hands. I walked over to a short and skinny tree and attempted to break it. I broke some branches off of the tree and created spears for hunting small game. Not realizing what was behind me, I heard a short growl. I looked up and turned around. Behind me was a small wolf pup, all by himself. I knealed down and pet the small creature on the head. "You look lost." I said to the little guy. He looked up at me with sadness and curled up next to me. "Don't worry, I'll take care of you, Shasta." I said to the little pup. He looked back up at me and started wagging his tale. Today, I made a friend.
Day Two (Late evening):
With my compainion following close behind me, we walked through the deep and congested woods. Night was coming sooner than I expected. Both my friend and I were starving and all I had left for food was the pig I had killed two days ago. Plus, the meat was spoiled and covered with lint from my jean pockets. I threw the meat into a river close by and continued my way up into the mountains. It was already past midnight and I hadn't seen any dangers anywhere. For a moment, I thought I would be able to make my way through the forest safely tonight. But I was soon going to regret thinking that. A couple minutes pasted by and Shasta stopped to look up at a tree. That night, we camped out in another tree, hoping and praying that we would be alive in the morning.
I woke up, Shasta relaxing by my side. I seriously felt like a couple days had passed and I hadn't even notices it. I sat up and looked around at the rolling hills beyond my small hut called a tree. I climbed down the tree and started on my journey towards the peak of the tallest hill. Along the way, I was encountered by another of my kind. Shasta, being the wolf pup that he is, attacked the poor man, leaving him helpless. I called for Shasta to come back to me, and he replied by returning back to me. The man stood up, he was young, just around my age and had strong, muscular arms. He had dark brown hair and light blue eyes. His skin was burnt to a crisp sun baked bronze. He looked like he had a lot of experience, enough to help Shasta and I out on our journey.
"Good evening" said the man. I looked at him in a weird and puzzled way. He had a raspy voice, almost like he had a cold. "Hello." I responded. Shasta hid behind my legs, snarling at the man. I attempted to hush Shasta, he wouldn't listen. "So I suppose you are on your way to Buligo?" said the man. I looked at him confused again. "Where is Buligo?" I asked, having a little trouble saying "Buligo". The man turned around and pointed at the top of the peak, where I was heading. "Just over the top of that mountain is a little village. The village of Buligo. There are a lot of people there who are very kind and helpful to the passing travelers." he said with delight. I looked at him and asked, "Do they have food?" "Of course! I just got done eating a four course meal from Momma Hogg's place!" the man said with happiness. At first, I thought he was lying. As we departed, I looked back at that man, he had a strange indian tattoo. I looked back at the peak and started my journey to the village of Buligo.
I entered the town of Buligo with high hopes of people coming up to me and welcoming me, just like the man said. But I was wrong. I got my hopes up for nothing. I looked around and found no one. The town of Buligo was abandoned. Everyone was either hiding or dead. I looked through some of the front door windows, hoping to find someone. No one, no one at all. No one to help me find my way to civilization. No one to help me find food for my dog and I. Shasta looked up at me with a worried look on his face. I could hear his stomach growling softly. I dug my hands into my pockets and found some left over pigs meat and threw it on the ground. Shasta sniffed the piece of meat and began to eat it. I sat on the front steps of one of the houses, waiting for Shasta to finish. I looked down at my stomach. I lifted up my shirt. "I'm getting thinner and thinner." I said to myself. Shasta looked up at me and then over at a chicken wandering through the town. He ended up killing it for me. Such a nice dog. That night, we feasted on roasted chicken that I cooked in an abandoned stove. That night, Shasta and I broke into an old house that had a bed where we could sleep. That night, we slept so well that nothing could be better than that.
Day Four (Morning): Morning came along. I opened my eyes slowly, Shasta was still laying down at the foot of the bed, all curled up into a ball. I got out of the bed and walked around the house, looking at the old books in the library and the antique paintings on the walls. Shasta woke up about 15 minutes later and joined up with me. We walked out into the morning air, crisp and a little cool. We walked around town for a while and found the town storage. We walked up to the door and opened it slowly, cobwebs were being to form around the door. We walked inside and saw a small chest sitting on the ground. I kneeled down in front of the chest and studied it. "There's no lock on it." I said in my mind. Shasta looked up at me and then back down at the chest. I messed around with the chest's latch and, not noticing it, I opened it. I lifted up the lid and looked inside. My dreams had finally come true. Inside were the following:
Silver Sword
Silver Pickaxe
Silver Shovel
Silver Hoe
Silver Axe
10 Loaves of Bread
4 Bottles of Glowstone Dust
3 Buckets
Flint and Steel
A Map
A Bow and 30 Arrows
60 Cooked Pork Chops
40 Cooked Fish
My dreams had finally come true. But I wondered, should I stay here in this abandoned town and wait for people to come by? Or should I take the items and leave? My first instinct was to just leave. It's not like anyone else will expect things to be in the chest, no one will care. I stood up with the items in the napsack. I began to walk out the door and back to my cabin. We walked inside the house. I threw my napsack down on the ground next to my bed and plopped down on the bed. I began to look at my weapons. I took out my silver sword that just happened to fit perfectly in my hand. Almost like it was ment to be. I put the sword back down on the ground, proping it up against the wall. That night, I could not get myself to sleep. Maybe tomorrow will be the day.
