The head scientist was running. He had just received word that Subject-73V3 has been born. Made from the DNA of a charitable contributor, he was genetically altered to be capable of surviving the wrath of nature.
As he ran, thousands of Minecraftians were being destroyed along with their crumbling cities. Minecraftia had fought well, but it was doomed. So, as a last resort, Project V was initiated, to preserve Minecraftia.
The head scientist had reached the water tank. Floating inside was the newborn Subject-73V3 preserved in statis. One of the scientists, a young one, went up to the head scientist. "Sir, the subject is stable and ready to be put into statis. He is set to age until his biological clock reaches 21. Then, he will be kept in statis for a further 10,000 years" he said. "Good" the head scientist replied, "By then, the threat will be gone." "Is he going to get a name?" The young scientist asked, "Yes," The head scientist replied, "What do you think about... Steve?"
Chapter I: Emergence
A loud beeping noise.
That was the first thing Steve heard.
The next thing he knew, a cool, female voice was speaking to him: "Statis period has expired. Releasing statis in 3... 2... 1..."
A loud bang, and Steve was rocketed out of the statis chamber with immense force. The next thing he knew, he was floating on his back on the surface of a warm water sea.
For a few moments, he could do nothing but bob on the surface, the warm salt water relaxing his muscles. Then, after regaining his willpower, he took in his surroundings: only a a few meters away, there was land. Steve, although not knowing how he knew, was able to swim to the shore.
After crawling onto the warm, sandy shoreline, he took in his surroundings:
Where the shore ended, a large plane bare of trees. In the distance, he could see what appeared to be a massive mountain range. To his left, more land, with what appeared to be a desert in the distance. To his right, a patch of forest, and the entrance to a cave.
Steve did not know what to do, but his instincts did: find shelter.
Knowing that there could be predators stalking the night, he decided he had to move fast. He dashed for the patch of trees and began harvesting the tree using only his fists. It was hard, but he was rewarded with a few logs of wood.
Using a sharp rock, he cut the wood into planks, and used the planks to build a small, portable table. Next, he cut some of his planks into sticks and, using the planks and sticks, fashioned a crude pickaxe. Next, he grabbed his workbench and continued into the forest.
In the center of the forest, he found a raised hill, and on its side, specks of black: coal. Steve used his pickaxe to mine out the coal, and, using the sticks he gathered, made a torch. Deciding that the hill would be a good place for a dugout, he dug into the side of the mountain. Next, he fashioned a door out of his planks and placed it at the entrance. Finally, he attached the torches to the wall and lit them using a piece of flint on the floor of the dugout.
With the dugout ready, he crafted a new pickaxe from the stone he had gathered, as well as a sword to defend from predators, and an axe to cut down trees faster. With his new implements, he went outside for another bundle of wood.
After cutting down a few trees, he noticed apples littering the ground. He picked several up, and ate one to keep his stomach busy. He looked up at the sky, and noticed something: the sun was setting. Drawing his sword, he was prepared to fight the predators that would surely emerge.
Suddenly, an arrow whizzed out of nowhere, barely missing Steve. Next, a clatter of bones, and the sound of bone colliding with earth. Another arrow. Then, it emerged from the darkness: the reanimated skeleton of one of Steve's kin, armed with a bow.
Steve didn't know what exactly it was, or where it came from, but one thing was certain: It definitely wasn't a normal predator.

Your main problem is your font size. I don't think it's pretty necessary to increase it; I guess the normal font size is readable enough.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the advice. I lowered the font size a bit.
