Hey, sc1020 here with the sequel to The Eye Project. This time, my book is centered on a new hero. One that seems a bit younger and less mature (some say he takes after his father), but must defeat a greater foe. Anyway, you may not get this story, so I suggest reading The Eye Project first. I hope you enjoy my story!

Prologue: The One Who Stole Heaven
Perspective: Drios
The Dark Lord Drios replayed the footage of the one who defeated the Ender Dragon. It was impossible that someone with amnesia could defeat the Wither twice, and then the Ender Dragon itself! But it didn't matter. He had tempted those heroes to get the opposing evil out of the way. Drios was Lord of the Skies, Ruler of the Aether, and The One Who Stole Heaven. He ruled a dimension far more vast than the End, and filled with more danger than the Nether could ever have. The people of the Overworld thought of this place as a myth. But it definitely wouldn't be a myth when his sky army came down. But he had been warned of the only one who could defeat him. The son of the hero Max. The one they called Cameron. But he was a mere boy. He could take care of him easily. All Drios would have to do is use his favorite alias again. He loved calling himself it. Notch.
Book One: The Aether
Chapter One:
Chapter One: The Enderman
Perspective: Cameron
I faced the Dark Lord, holding a glistening diamond sword. He was entirely covered in a black cloak, with red eyes that gleamed through the hood. He summoned a beam of dark magic and I roll to the side, dodging it. I get out my bow and shoot an arrow at him. He shoots another beam at me, but I'm too late to dodge it. I got hit and went flying out the entrance, off the platform, and down towards the Earth.
--------------------
Yet another one of those dreams about the evil Dark Lord in his sky castle. It really annoyed me, having to be a hero and all. But I guess I would have to follow in Dad's footsteps. I looked in the mirror. At the tattered clothes that my dad wore on his adventures. I looked at my black spiky hair and blue eyes. I didn't even look heroic. But this is where my story begins.
I walked over to Steve's house like I did once every week. Steve had been there for about 30 years, and had become the new village historian. His stories about what he did in order to fight the dragon were a lot better than Dad's stories. "Hey Cameron," Steve said as he opened the door, "still having those dreams, huh?" I didn't even have to nod. You could tell by the look on my face.
There were six others in the room. One in armor that made him look like a robotic creeper, one was a very casual-looking guy holding a rose, there was a tough-looking guy holding a bow. There was someone with the same exact face as Steve, except grey. Also in the room was Dad.
"There's a big issue coming up," Steve said, "and I think that dream you're having has something to do with it. The Lord of the Skies has threatened to send his army down to destroy the planet unless we of the Overworld surrender."
"So, who's going on the quest?" I asked. "We've decided on you, me, Tanks, Jack, and Risugami. The rest will stay here and defend the surface from the Dark Lord's army," Steve said.
"So, Dad's not coming..."
"Yeah, but if the Dark Lord does wind up killing us, we don't want you and your dad dead."
"Well, you have a point there. Plus, Dad might do better down here."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Dad asked, laughing. Dad was just like what I heard about in Steve's book, The Eye Project. Dad was lucky enough to get the first copy. Just then, a tall man walked into the room. He wore diamond armor that was enchanted and a hood that covered his face entirely.
"Ah, Impedimos! You made it. I don't know how you found time after all those creepers started showing up in the forest," Steve said. "It was a tough battle, but the creepers retreated. It is quite strange how many showed up," Impedimos said.
He continued, "I fear we have another foe upon us."
Chapter Two: Chapter Two: New and Old "Friends"
Perspective: Max
You must think I'm insane. You truly must think I'm insane for sending my son into the Uncharted Realm without me going with him. But Steve's decisions had always been the right one for the past twenty years. The village was bustling with people after the Museum of Heroes was built. However, we didn't put our weapons in the museum. We hardly lived in a village anymore. It was a bustling city. It was almost perfect. As if to celebrate, purple meteors fell from the sky every year on the day me, Steve, and the others returned from our fight with the Ender Dragon. Twenty years really changed the place.
"But wait," I said, "Cameron doesn't have a weapon. We can't send him into the Uncharted Realm without a sword or a bow or an axe or something." "Right now, we have more important matters," Jack stood up and said, "we have an unknown threat that could destroy all of us anyway."
"Don't worry," Steve said, "Impedimos and the others who aren't going to the Aether will investigate this threat. I doubt whatever threat this is could be worse than the Ender Dragon. Not even the Sky Lord is as powerful as the dragon was." It did seem like a fair plan. "But still," I said, "Cameron needs something to protect him."
Tanks pulled out a glowing obsidian blade and handed it to Cameron. "Take this sword. It's called the Ender Sword," he said, "I didn't even kill Herobrine with it, so it's of no importance to me." Cameron wielded the blade and did a few practice slashes. "Hey," he said, "I could get used to it. It's just the right weight."
Steve then pulled a lever on the wall. In the corner of the room, a piston retracted. It opened up a hold with a ladder. "All right," he said, "here's where I built my secret room. Most of the people here don't know how to use levers. Actually, all of us and Cameron's mom are the only people here with arms. So the people who can use levers are the only ones with access to the room I'm about to show you." He walked over to the corner and climbed down the ladder.
With the oak wood ceiling and floor and birch walls, the room seemed even brighter. The room was about 15x15x10 meters. On every wall was 5 lamps, all activated. There were also five lamps in the floor. To think he never used this room.
"The Uncharted Realm, or by its proper name, the Aether," Steve said, "is supposed to be the exact opposite of the Nether. So, as a Nether portal is made out of obsidian, a substance that emanates darkness, the Aether's portal would be made out of a substance emanating light. So the portal would be constructed out of glowstone in the same fashion as a Nether portal. Since the Nether portal is activated with a source of heat, I believe that the gateway to the Aether would be opened up with water, a substance of peace. So, I am going to test that right now."
With that, he got out some glowstone and constructed a 4x5 frame, just like his Nether portal upstairs. He took out a water bucket and spilled it into the frame. But the water didn't flow off the glowstone. It began to float inside the frame and spread. It eventually covered the entire inside. "Well," Steve said, "looks like it worked."
Suddenly, the wall behind us exploded. There were two hooded figures and a man in a red suit with a white face stuck in a grin. He laughed and said, "looks like we got them!" One figure took of his hood. The face under the hood was that of a distorted zombie pigman. "No, Troll," he said, "we've only found them." I recognized that voice and so did Legendary. "So," Legendary said, "looks like the Commander wants to try again. Too bad it took twenty years."
The Commander charged for him and I turned to the others. "Go!" I shouted, "into the portal! The four staying here can take him!" The five who were planning on entering did so as fast as they could. When I turned back, Legendary was already pinned to the ground by the Commander, who stood over Legendary, about to stab him with a gleaming red sword.
I jumped over and was just in time to save Legendary. I tackled the Commander and turned back over to Legendary. His armor was cracking. He stood up, and the armor shattered entirely. The Commander howled in rage and said, "this wasn't supposed to happen! But know this: corruption shall rule!" Suddenly, the Commander and Troll disappeared. Where Legendary once stood was a man in a white hoodie with a creeper face on the back. His brown hair fell over one eye. "Legendary?" I asked, "you okay?"
"Who's Legendary?" he said, "My name's Starborn."
((Author's Note: Stop music here))
---------------
"And who are you?" Starborn asked. "I'm Max," I said, "it looks like you've forgotten at least twenty years." "T-twenty years?" he asked, "No way!" But he realized that since I was the first person he met after losing his memory, I should be trusted.
"The last thing I remember is the Commander trying to put that armor on me," he said, "after killing someone else. I gave him part of my sword-the crescent blade-so we could hold off some corruptions. The Commander knew that me and the other guy, Shila, could beat him. So he killed Shila and put this armor on me so I would become possessed. If he managed to almost kill me, he must've gotten more powerful. Thanks for saving me back there."
"No problem," I said, "but we need to go back to wherever the Commander is. He got a lucky surprise attack. But if you're better than him without the armor, then we can get him next time, Starborn." Impedimos and Bruce nodded.
"You can call me Star," Star said, "and I'm in."
Chapter Three:Chapter Three: When Pigs Fly
((Author's note: Listen to this track until the perspective ends (make sure the loop is on and wait until the music actually starts to begin reading.)))
Perspective: Cameron
The portal obviously felt wet. After a few seconds, I felt like I was being shot out of a cannon straight up. After about ten seconds, the sensation stopped abruptly. I found myself on an island of blue dirt and turquoise grass. I had actually never seen the Nether because Dad wouldn't let me go. Hopping around on the island was a tiny rabbit. It bounced over to me and jumped onto my head. I tried jumping up as a signal for it to get off, but for some reason I jumped really high. These bunnies were weird.
"So this is the Aether," Jack said. "To be honest," Tanks said, "it doesn't seem as dangerous. The evil guy is always supposed to live in a place that's full of danger." Steve laughed and said, "This isn't a book, Tanks." There were tons of these tiny sky islands floating around. I jumped over to the closest one. I turned back to the others. "Aren't you coming?" I said, "the sooner we get this Sky Lord guy, the better."
I heard Steve mutter, "he's just like his father." While that was offensive, it was also true. They built themselves a bridge over to the island I was on. As we traveled along it, I saw a cloud that didn't look right. It turned and I saw that it had a face. "Zephyr!" Risugami yelled, "Take cover!" We went down onto a small ledge and got out of the Zephyr's view.
Eventually, it gave up and flew away. We went back up and I noticed a strange tree. "Does anyone else notice that this tree is a bit weird?" I asked. "They're not weird," Risugami said, "They're the Aether's natural tree; Skyroot." I decided to punch it down. The logs felt normal, too. I guess they were natural trees. "Well," Rigugami continued, "we will need Skyroot tools if we want to mine out holystone and Aether ores." Luckily, I had a crafting bench on me. I placed it down and made myself a Skyroot shovel and Skyroot pickaxe. "Like this?"
Risugami replied by saying, "pretty much." I began to dig out some of the dirt and exposed a light gray rock. I mined it out with the sky root pickaxe. It breaks pretty quickly. After a minute, I already had most of the bottom of the island in my hands. This was pretty easy. A yellow glint caught my eye as I was walking out. It was some sort of ore. When I mined it out, I got a yellow shard.
"What's this?" I asked Rigumami, showing him the shard. "It looks like you're the first person to ever mine ambrosium," he answered. "Wait," I said, "then how come you know about that?" "It's my gift," he replied, "I know everything about everything." After mining out some more, I noticed that there was no sun here, yet we got light.
When I got back up, we all decided to go to the next island here. This one was shaped kind of like a circle except the bottom was completely flat. On top, I saw some bushes growing a weird blue fruit. I picked one and turned when I heard the oinking of a pig. Next to me was, in fact, a pig. There was just one thing different about it.
It had wings.
-----------
Perspective: Max
All this time, I noticed that the second hooded figure had just stood there. He had a distorted kind of laugh. "You truly don't know what is coming," he said, "for I am stronger than that Sky Lord. He plans to blow up your planet's core. Join forces with me, and we can stop him together." He held out his hand, but I slapped it away. "You just had your servants try and kill us," I said, "and now you want us to join you? You're out of your mind!"
"Oh well," he said, "it's your loss. Too bad your planet is doomed now. I'll enjoy watching it." With that, he vanished. Star looked confused. "Who was that guy?" he asked. "I honestly don't know," Bruce said. "Maybe it would make more sense if you explain the last twenty years to me," Star said. "Sounds good," I said.
I handed him Steve's book, The Eye Project. Star quickly read it. After about an hour, he nodded. "I may not remember anything about what happened," Star said, "but I get why you need me. I was pretty epic back there." We all laughed then. It was a pretty good moment at such a bad time.
We all left the house and I noticed something in the sky. It looked like something was coming down from the sky. There were multiple things. It looked like purple rockets were coming down. It was the yearly zanite meteors. This officially marked twenty years since we killed the Ender Dragon.
I wondered if Cameron could see them.
--------------
Perspective: Cameron
I got an idea. I could probably tame this flying pig. I got out a fishing rod and attached one of the blue fruits to it. I then put a saddle on it and began to ride it. I flew it over to the others. Jack couldn't help but laugh. "Pretty cool, huh?" I said, "All it took was my old fishing pole, a saddle, and some weird blue fruits."
"Those 'weird blue fruits' are called blueberries," Risugami said, "and that flying pig you have is the somewhat rare Phyg. You're still likely to run into another one." I decided to name the Phyg George. We could be like some weird crime-fighting duo. Then I noticed something weird happening to the bottoms of the islands.
Purple ores were falling from them, all the way down to Earth. "Hey," I said, "those are the zanite meteors!" Steve noticed it, too. "That means it's been exactly twenty years since I killed the Ender Dragon. Wow."
Was it just me, or was there a giant mass of land about to hit the village? I looked up and saw a giant sky island falling down.
I hoped no one was on there.
---------------
Perspective:Cameron
I tied my fishing rod to Geroge and planted the rod in the ground. He flew up, struggling to break free. I found some more blueberries and started tossing them in the air. The island stopped falling and eventually began to raise. ((Author's note: stop music here))
"Nice one," Jack said, "how come I didn't think of that?" "Not even Steve thought of it, Jack," Tanks said, "It's likely that you wouldn't."
Finally, the island returned to the Aether. I untied George and lured him back with a blueberry. So we went ahead and jumped towards the next island. They seemed to form sort of a staircase towards a cave inside of another island.
Abruptly, the island began to rise up again. Chapter Four: Chapter Four: Necromancy for Dummies
Perspective: Max
Luckily, the island began to float up again to the skies. It was probably Cameron on there now that I think about it. I continued down the street as mobs were beginning to spawn and I didn't want any waiting in front of my door. So I went inside and head into my bed. According to my clock it was almost midnight. Yet I went to Steve's house in the morning. It was like there was like a missing puzzle piece to all this.
When I woke up, it was dusk. Time was being thrown off by some mysterious force. This is somehow linked to the Commander's return, I thought. I definitely hadn't been sleeping all through the next day, so I headed over to Bruce's house. Until Star got the story straight, he was staying at Bruce's place.
I knocked on his door, and when Bruce opened it, it seemed like we were both thinking the same thing. However, without saying a word, Bruce let me in. He had always been the silent one lately. I noticed Impedimos had already arrived. Everyone was so quiet. I decided to be as cautious as I could. This was possibly a trap.
"Am I the only one who noticed that time is seriously jacked up?" I finally asked.
"Of course not!" Star replied.
"Does anyone have a clue as to what's going on here?"
"Of course not..."
I sighed and sat down on one of Bruce's wool chairs. They weren't very comfortable, as the wool was over twenty years old. But it didn't matter that much.
"Ah, but the answers are so close," a voice from the shadows suddenly said. A cloaked figure with a Wither Skeleton face and enderman arms walked in.
"Who...are you?" Star asked. The figure kept walking forward. He sat down and Bruce drew his bow, ready to fire if the strange creature moved again.
"I am Kaslar the necromancer," he said, "I was rejected by the village many years ago because they thought I was mentally insane. I eventually found my new master."
That meant that Kaslar was working for the cloaked figure that we had met yesterday (or however long ago it was). I pulled out my sword, ready to hack his head off right then if I had to.
"What do you want?" I ask.
"Why should I answer?" he replies.
"Because I'm about to kill you. Hello?"
"I'm here to finish some business for my master. Something about eliminating you four."
Suddenly, we were in some region of the Nether. Tons of Ghasts flew around. An empty shell of a Nether portal lay at the back of the area. Kaslar teleported away from the room and the Ghasts began firing fireballs at us. I quickly got out my sword, turned around, and deflected a fireball coming right for me. I don't know how a sword made of wood could withstand it. But it did.
The fireball missed the Ghast who fired it, but it hit another Ghast behind the first one. Bruce was firing arrows crazily at the Ghasts. Whatever string that bow used, it was durable. He was killing every Ghast in one hit. But there were too many.
"I forgot I could do this," Star said, "But I think I better show you now." A giant spike of ice rose from the ground, killing about ten Ghasts.
"Of course you had to forget that," I said. I shrugged as Star froze some more Ghasts. Those Ghasts fell and crushed other Ghasts. Star summoned another ice spike out of the ground, which destroyed the Nether portal frame. However, it killed many Ghasts. I flew forward from the blast of another fireball.
As I drank a fire resist potion, I noticed that something was different about these Ghasts. They were all black. They were corrupted! This wasn't good. That's why the fireball attacked me with such force. I ran over to Star, since he knew the most about corruptions.
((Author's Note: Stop music here))
"Yeah," he said, "I know. They're corrupted. But I think I see something. Something I haven't seen since that armor was put on me." He was mining out a sword stuck in Netherrack. I could see why he was having trouble. The sword got stuck in pieces of quartz. Finally, like it was Excalibur being pulled from the sword in the stone (something Risugami told me about that he somehow remembered from his past), Star pulled out a sword shaped like a crescent with a handle on the back.
"This thing's pretty beat up," Star said, "but I've definitely used it before. The Commander must've took it after he put that possessed armor on me. I guess he decided that he didn't need it. I'll take this over to the blacksmith once we get back to the village."
Impedimos was trying to pick up the obsidian blocks that were scattered after the ice spike rose up. But he couldn't. It was like it hurt him somehow. He actually shrieked in pain when he lifted one up only a few inches off the ground. I walked over and took the obsidian blocks and constructed a new Nether Portal frame.
"Anyone got a flint and steel?" Bruce asked. We all shook our head no, but then I noticed something else. One of the Ghast's fireballs had been frozen by one of Star's ice beams. I could use it as a fire charge. I struck it against a piece of flint and the ice melted. I didn't have any steel on me, so that's why I even bothered to pick it up.
I headed over to the portal and slid the fire charge against the obsidian. Sure enough, a purple substance appeared inside the portal. I motioned to the others to follow me in. The portal felt kind of like goo. Like a slime had jumped on me or something.
----------
Luckily, we came out through Steve's old portal in the mineshafts. It had become a famous attraction. Nobody ever actually stepped through it except one time about ten years before this when a few blazes somehow found they're way in. They sent Steve and Bruce in to board up the Nether fortress.
As we climbed up the fifty-block high staircase, I saw the first lights of dawn. Time was definitely screwed up now. No time is supposed to pass while you're in the Nether. Me and Star headed over to the blacksmith to see what he could do about his new sword.
"This is odd," the blacksmith said, "This thing isn't made of a material I'm familiar with." The sword looked like diamond, but it must not have been. But Star already seemed to have another plan.
Here's what he told me; "Let's make a quick trip to the Aether." Chapter Five:
Chapter Five: The Gravity of Gravitite
Perspective: Drios
The boy is already in the Aether? Drios thought, He is more powerful than I thought. But this place will be under my rule. Sure, I've upset the balance between the Aether and the Nether, but what could go wrong? I'm just building an empire, after all. Then a voice spoke. It was not Drios's servant, Jeb, nor his own thoughts. He recognized it as one of the Brothers of Legend. This one was Aethros.
"What have you done? You brought the Crown of Chaos into the Aether? This entire place could be destroyed, along with all of the other worlds!" Aethros said, "Then you won't be able to blow up the Earth's core because it'll be gone! Did you ever think about that, you fool? Don't blame we when all life becomes extinct. I'll just be lounging around in space like I've been doing for all eternity. You are so lucky I am forbidden to touch the Crown of Chaos." Clearly, Aethros was annoyed. But Drios had some more tricks up his sleeve.
"But I am the new Nethros," he said, "I hold the crown that is more powerful than you. I would kill you right now, but there's no point. I have a world to conquer."
Drios took out his sword and stabbed Aethros. He screamed in pain as dark particles came out of the wound. "You'll pay for this!" he said, "Because there is still one who can kill you!"
Drios teleported to the bronze dungeon. He took the key from its spot in the lock and created a statue creature that held the key just as he saw the "heroes" approaching the dungeon. He would get them now.
----------------
Perspective: Cameron
"W-what's happening?" I asked. "I don't know. Take your pig and see," Risugami said. I quickly hopped onto George and began to fly under the island. There were those purple ores there and some pink ore with dark particles around it that seemed to be pushing upwards. I mined out the purple ore and got Zanite shards. I quickly headed back up and made a pickaxe with it.
"There's some pink ores," I said, "and they're pushing the island upwards!"
"Gravitite isn't supposed to be so strong that it can move islands," Risugami said, "So I bet the Sky Lord has something to do with it." I got back onto George and flew down to the "Gravitite" and tried mining it with my new pickaxe. Luckily, the Zanite pick could mine it out. I mined out all of the Gravitite I could find and the island stopped.
I realized that my bunny had ran away some time ago. We were now really high up. I placed a few blocks and then put down a water bucket, creating a safe way down to the next island.
"Okay, maybe this place is pretty dangerous," Jack said. I slightly miscalculates the water's placement, and it went down to a ledge on the side of the island. The good news was, there was a cave in there. We went into it, and it was a series of rooms with bronze-colored brick walls. In each one there was a chest. It didn't contain too much good loot, but some had a few darts in them.
However, when I tried to open one of the chests, it bit me. I realized that the chest had teeth. And eyes. It stood up and tried to attack me. I quickly got out my axe and started chopping it. It didn't do much, so I got out the Ender Sword and began chopping it. Eventually, I killed it. It dropped a chest. Yay.
Finally, we reached a room with a large white statue that looked like a cube with a closed eye on all sides. Flying above it, I saw the worst possible person to see at that time.
Before us stood the Sky Lord himself.
Chapter Six:
Chapter Six: The Lost of City of Havorus
Perspective: Max
"You're nuts, aren't you?" I asked Star. He had just suggested to go to where Steve and the others may or may not be risking their lives just so he could repair his sword.
"Call me crazy," Star said, "but this thing is about 7 times more powerful than you think it is." I still thought he was nuts. I was about to say that when a voice interrupted.
"Oh, I'm sure it is," it said, "but you have a more important place to go to." We turned around to see a figure that gleamed a red color. You couldn't make out much more than the shape of his body, which was the same as everyone else's.
"You're..." I said, "Nethros." The figure chuckled and nodded.
"Why, yes I am. But we have more important matters," Nethros said, "You see, the old master of the Nether was defeated about five years ago by the Sky Lord, Drios. As the rightful ruler, Drios received the Crown of Chaos. Little did I know, he was going to abuse it and take over the Aether, which had no physical ruler at the time. He has thrown off the balance between the Aether and the Nether. All worlds could fall if he is not defeated soon."
"So," Star said, "what do we do?"
"You must go to the Nether and claim the Crown of Destiny. I put it there to slightly even the balance. You will have to defeat a truly evil force, who has befriended the ruler of the corruptions," Nethros answered.
"Where do we find this guy?" I asked.
"Remember when all those Blazes got kicked out of the Nether Fortress. This new evil has taken over that fortress and turned it into his castle," Nethros said, "And I think I can help you. Star, hand me your sword."
"You know my name?" Star asked, "Then again, you're an immortal being who watches over the worlds." Star handed him the Crescent Blade. Nethros took it and held it in both hands. The Crescent Blade began to float in midair. Suddenly, there were no cracks anymore. The sword looked brand-new. Nethros handed it back to Star.
"I must warn you, that fortress is now a kingdom of pigmen called Havorus," Nethros said, "Any one of them could be the one you call the Commander in disguise. Keep an eye out. If you can get the crown, then time will return to normal. I may be the being of chaos, but I truly believe in peace for all worlds. Or maybe it's just because the balance got thrown off."
With that, Nethros vanished. From the forest emerged a man with black hair that almost covered his purple eyes. He seemed to be heading towards a small pond near the village. It was filled with squids so the water was really inky anyway. Why was he going there.
I motioned to the others to follow me over. The man turned towards me.
"Who are you?" I asked. He seemed to be communicating with the squids. It was very strange.
"I am Torrent," he said, "I've been living on my own for years now. My only friends are the squids. It seems as if I can understand them and they can understand me."
"Well, your squids are in danger," Star said, "because the skies, the earth, and the world below are all about to be destroyed."
--------
Perspective: Bruce
As Bruce and Impedimos headed down the path, something flew over the air. It looked like a person. The person flew over them again. It looked to be a girl with brown wings on. Which it was. She finally descended in front of Bruce.
"Looks like they work."
"Who are you?" Bruce asked.
"I'm Angel."
"How ironic," Bruce mumbled.
"So what is it that you want?"
"Well, it's a lo-" Bruce begun, but was interrupted by Star and Max coming with a new person.
"Who's that?" Impedimos asked.
"No time," Max said, "we've gotta go to the Nether. We ran into Nethros. No time for doubt. The world's in danger."
"Nethros?" Angel said, "I find that hard to believe." Of course, it would be. It was hard to believe any of the things Bruce and the others had been through.
"We're the guys from the museum," Max said, "don't you recognize us?" Star looked confused. Bruce forgot that Max hadn't explained that we really did make a museum.
"Oh, yeah. Mind if I come?" Angel said, "I've got wings, so I probably won't be a burden." Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Actually, I think she should go elsewhere," a voice said, "there are heroes in need up in the Aether." They all turned to see Aethros.
"They're about to run into the Valkyries," Aethros continued, "and I think your new friend may be of some use."
Book Two: The Nether
Chapter Seven:
Chapter Seven: The Swordmaster (of Hyrule)
Perspective: Cameron
The Sky Lord descended down in front of us. He paced a bit, looking at us like we were pathetic (which he really did think).
"If you want to fight me, you'll have to get through my little pet," Drios said, "His name is Lochaiedron. But to my friends, he's 'The Slider'. Have fun out there."
"It looks like an ordinary statue," Jack said, "I don't see why he would be called 'The Slider' if he doesn't even move." He tapped it with his rose a few times. Nothing happened.
"Let me handle this," Tanks said, taking out his hoe. It transformed into a sword. He whacked the statue with all his might. Nothing happened. Why wouldn't this thing attack? I knew something was under there.
"Wait," I said, "If it's a statue, then we should break it with a pickaxe." Tanks transformed his sword into a pickaxe and brought it down onto The Slider. Sure enough, the eyes opened and it turned into an ugly brown color. The eyes were completely blue except for the pupils. The Slider slid forward ((Author's Note: no pun intended)) and we all jumped out of the way. This thing wanted to kill us.
The Slider came towards me and Tanks. I quickly dug the zanite pick into one of its eyes. It was stunned for a second, but the kept going. I took out my diamond pick, realizing that the zanite pick was breaking pretty easily. I jumped over The Slider and behind me it slid upwards. I threw the zanite pick up at its eye.
It got stuck in there, and fell back down. I rolled and picked it up. Jack charged over and hit The Slider multiple times with his iron pick. Sadly, The Slider hit him and Steve. Steve came out from being squished against a wall and hit the slider about five times with his diamond pick.
The Slider had only half of its health left. It slid towards me, so I rolled to the side. I quickly hit it a few times with the zanite pick. One end got chipped off in the process. However, it did a lot of damage. I took out the holystone pick and started using that instead. It did less damage, but I hit it a lot more times.
The Slider turned red and started sliding a lot faster. I could hardly avoid it. Suddenly, three iron picks were thrown at The Slider. It disappeared in a cloud of white smoke, leaving behind a key. In the doorway stood a girl with wooden wings on with a fan strapped to her back.
Another person in green leather armor holding a sword that looked a lot different from the other swords I had seen. "What'd I miss?" he said. He was holding an iron pickaxe, so I supposed he was the one who killed The Slider. ((Author's note: stop music here))
I looked to the center of the room, where there we a few trapdoors. Under them was a chest that was locked. I touched the key to the keyhole, and it disappeared. The chest opened. Inside were blue pants that kind of looked like chain and something called a phoenix bow.
"So," I said, "who are you two?" The girl with the wings flew over and explained it all. "My name's Angel," she said, "I have nothing to do with the other guy. I made these wings myself. Aethros told me to look for you five. Something about the Valkyries."
The guy in green clothing walked over. "The name's Link," he said, "I'm the Hero of TIme and all that. You may have heard of me." I gave him a look that said, huh?
"You're telling me you haven't heard a word about me?" Link said, "Whatever. It looks like there are more important matters at hand."
"Let's find those Valkyries."
--------------
Perspective: Max
Me and the others walked over to the Nether portal as Angel flew up to the Aether. I hadn't been to the Nether in a long time, so it was hard to know what to expect.
When we entered, we saw a Ghast. It was about to fire at us, but Torrent rushed to the front.
"Trust me," he said, "We're your friend." The Ghast closed its mouth and flew away is if it didn't notice us.
"So," I said, "you not only can talk to squids, but you can talk to Ghasts. Then again, they are squids. Or are they insects?"
"Well, either way," a familiar voice said, 'you're going to die." Kaslar and the Commander approached us.
"So sorry that during our last encounter that I didn't get to kill you," the Commander said.
"I guess I should finish the job."
Chapter Eight:
Chapter Eight: "So...You're from a Video Game?"
Perpsective: Drios
"Oh," Drios said, "I see your 'nemesis' has met my nemesis." He was talking to one of his favorite servants. He called himself Ghirahim. Obviously, he was merely a pawn in his plan to blow up the core. Technically, it was the Nether. But it was still the heart of the earth. Hopefully his little traitor with those going to the Nether would plant the bomb...
-----------
Perspective: Cameron
Nethros appeared in front of us. What did he want? More importantly, how did he not upset the fundamental balance of existence when he entered the Aether?
"So," I said, "How are things?" He gave me a look that said, Now is not the time. He floated around us, taking a close look.
"Who are you two?" he asked, "Aethros didn't mention a green man. Well, he's the destiny guy, so I really don't care who he puts with you guys. Anyway, the reason I'm here is because I have learned that there is a traitor among you or the people on the ground. But who could it be?"
"Please don't say it's me," Link said, "I already have to deal with Ghirahim and for some reason I'm not in the correct video game."
"So, let me get this straight," I said, "You're from a video game? Steve mentioned something in his research about our world involving a video game."
"I don't think that this is the same situation," Nethros said, "Anyway, I don't think whoever this guy is is the traitor. I think it may be with those guys I sent on a quest to the Nether."
"You sent them to the Nether?!?!" Steve yelled.
"Yeah. They need to recover the Crown of Destiny."
"How long have they been there?"
"I don't know! I'm an immortal being! Time doesn't exist for me!"
"Figures."
"So, you can go now," Risugami said, "Oh yeah, no one here's a traitor according to my brain. If you didn't know, I know everything about the area within a certain distance of me."
"Yeah, I know," Nethros said, "I'll go now, but not because you told me."
Just as we were about to walk out, a dude with a white body and white hair with a crazy face walked in. He also has a red cloak on.
"Going somewhere?" he said.
"Ghirahim. I'm surprised you ever wanted to show your ugly face to me again after I killed Demise," Link said, "Now what do you want?"
"Let's see," Ghirahim said, "I want your death, endless power, your death, another revival for Demise, and most importantly, YOUR DEATH!"
"Sounds like a good Christmas list," Link said, "Too bad that you're on the naughty list." He pulled out a sword with a purple handle with a yellow triangle on it. The blade was silver and the hilt looked like it had purple wings.
Ghirahim threw off his cloak and let it blow away in the wind.
"Even if Santa did exist," Ghirahim said, "I'd have killed him already." He pulled out a black rapier.
"Shall we duel?"
--------
Perspective: Max
"Get them. brothers," the Commander said, summoning an army of pigmen. Star jumped into the air really high and summoned a few ice spikes, killing many pigmen. Kaslar took out a bunch of spawn eggs and summoned many skeletons, which reverted into Wither Skeletons.
"How do you do that?" I asked Star after he landed back on the ground. He simply held out his sword. I see why he wanted to get that thing repaired earlier.
"Why do you want to use backup?" Star said, "Are you afraid you can't take me yourself?" The Commander halted his pigmen.
"All right," he said, "we'll settle this one-on-one. No interferences from any of our friends or brethren." The Commander pulled out a long sword that glowed red.
"Do you remember this?" he said, "This is how I killed your friend right before I possessed you with that armor. And now, it will be your demise."
"Bring. It. On," Star said. Impedimos moved surprisingly fast over to Kaslar, then struck him with his sword. I noticed that his hood flew off. Impedimos turned towards us. I was amazed.
"You're... an enderman?"
---------
Perspective: Christopher
Christopher woke up to see a glowing white figure. He recognized the figure from the Legend of the Brothers. This was the Brother of Destiny, Aethros. This was a nice surprise.
"Well-Christopher, is it?" Aethros said, "My brother decided to pick a person to help some heroes."
"Who?" Christopher asked.
"You, of course."
-------
Perspective: Cameron
Link was luckily winning, but Ghirahim kept summoning weird red orbs that charged at Link. They were hard to deflect, and he got hit by most of them.
Link slashed at Ghirahim's sword and it flew out of his hand. Link stabbed Ghirahim in the chest. Ghirahim summoned his sword back and slashed back. Link fell to the ground and Ghirahim held his sword up to Link's neck.
"Game over."
---------
Perspective: Max
"Long story," Impedimos said, "we've got to fight a guy with infinite mobs on his hands." Impedimos slashed at Kaslar again.
"I'm not that easy," Kaslar said. summoning an armed zombie. Impedimos got into a duel with it just like Steve did with the zombie horde leader before the Eye Project even started.
But I couldn't let them know what I was up to. I had a plan. It's not the kind of plan you would think I was thinking of. I took out the bomb I was given and placed it on the wall. It's hard to believe, but it's true.
But don't worry;there's a perfectly logical explanation for this.
Chapter Nine:
Chapter Nine: Perspective Switching…What Fun!
Perspective: Christopher
"But why should I go to the Aether?" Christopher asked, "I'm not a fighter."
"Are you?" Aethros said.
"No. The best I have is a stone sword. I don't kill creepers, I close the door on them."
"Come on! The great Nethros picked you to be a hero! Accept it!"
"All right. But if I die, it'll be on your conscience for all eternity."
"Ok. But it would be on Nethros, not me."
"Well, I've been helping heroes, so I guess becoming one wouldn't be that bad. Who knows? Maybe I'm better than I think..."
-----------
Perspective: Max
You may be wondering why I betrayed the group. To be honest, it wasn't my choice. Right after we ran into Angel, I hadn't said much. It's because Drios appeared behind me. Suddenly, I couldn't do what I was supposed to. It was like someone was controlling me.
So, as much as I resisted, I wound up placing the bomb down. Luckily, me and Bruce tended to get out of situations like this. I hoped it would work out this time.
--------------
Perpective: Cameron
"Clearly, you forgot about my shield." Link took out his metal shield with weird engravings on it and whacked Ghirahim with it. While he was stunned, Link got to his feet and stabbed Ghirahim again.
Then things got strange. In came a guy wearing only a leather tunic and holding a stone sword.
"WHAT'RE YOU DOING, KID!" Jack yelled. The dude got out his sword and charged at Ghirahim.
"Wait!" he said, "You?" He was completely stunned. He took a step back.
"Oh, hello," Ghirahim said, "Christopher."
------------
Perspective: Impedimos
While I would prefer to get back at the Dragon for killing my family, there were more important matters at hand. I teleported over to Max and tackled him. Sure, that's not how an enderman would do it, but I prefer not to be victim to stereotypes. I slapped Max a few times.
"Snap out of it!" I yelled, "What's wrong with you? What did Drios do to you?" Max got up and chuckled.
"He did nothing that wasn't good for me. You have five minutes," Max said, "or the Nether goes bye-bye." I took out my diamond sword and max took out his wooded one. He quickly blocked my first strike. We were in a duel that would be historically known.
From the corner of my eye, I saw Star dueling the Commander.
------------
Perspective: Star
Star quickly jumped up into the air and summoned ice around the Commander, freezing him solid. He was about to stick his sword in and end it once and for all, but then an arrow hit him. He looked to see that it was from Max. That was odd...
The Commander broke out of the cube and slashed at Star, who rolled to the side. Star took out his other sword and threw it at the Commander, who had made the biggest mistake of combat. He left his guard down to laugh in pity.
The sword was stuck in the Commander's chest. The Commander struggled, but eventually got up. He removed the sword from his chest and laughed.
"You think this is the end?" he said, "Then you are worse than I thought. Now it's two swords against one. Good luck with beating me now."
"I wouldn't be too sure," Star said, seeing a zombie pigman behind the Commander. Star had one shot at this. He jumped into the air and threw his sword at the pigman. The pigman charged over. Star landed back on the ground. The pigman slashed at the Commander to get to Star.
While the Commander was down, Star took his sword from the pitman's head and killed it.
"No help," the Commander said, "That was the rule. You are truly weak." The Commander laughed, which still continued as Star talked.
"You're calling me weak?" Star said, "I'm the one about to kill you. I'm ending this. Now."
Star hacked off the Commander's head. The Commander's laugh echoed through the air. It was really creeping Star out. Corruptions flowed out of the Commander's corpse.
The corruptions walked towards Star. They climbed on top of him. It seemed as if they were praising him in some way.
"Hey!" Star said, "What the-?"
Did you not know? the Commander's voice echoed, When the king of corruption is killed, there must be a usurper.
"NO!" Star yelled, "I'll never do it! This is not over!"
---------
Perspective: Max
It was at that moment when I regained free will. Maybe my urge to help Star was greater than the dark energy inside me. I charged over to the half-corrupted Star.
"Help!" Star yelled. But then Star talked in a different voice, "There is no help for you, human."
"I can't let you do that!" I yelled. I slashed at the corruptions that were swallowing Star. They wouldn't get hurt.
That's when our old hooded figure friend came in.
--------
Perspective: Christopher
"You tried to burn my village," Christopher said, "I'm not letting you do that again!" Christopher brought walked towards Ghriahim, sword extended.
"Now's not the best time!" A man in a green hat said, slashing at Ghirahim, who blocked the blow without looking.
"You coward," the man in green said, "Why won't you fight me? It's because I'm better than you, isn't it!"
"Shut up, you idiot!" Ghirahim shouted, "I WILL KILL YOU!"
--------
Perspective: Cameron
Link swung his sword at Ghirahim, who blocked the strike once again. Link rolled to the side and hit Ghirahim. Link kept hitting him before Ghirahim could swing his sword again.
Ghirahim was backed to the edge.
"I'm afraid it's game over for you this time," Link said while Ghirahim was losing balance. Link struck Ghirahim again, and he fell off the platform.
"That was easier than last time," Link said, "So… Christopher, is it? You knew him?"
"Yeah," Christopher said, "he tried to burn down our village."
"Wow. That's terrible. But he's done much more. He's sided with the Sky Lord now."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Did he ever say anything to you when he attacked your village?"
"He told me to join him."
-----------
Perspective: Max
But now the figure was wearing a gleaming white crown. It was the Crown of Destiny. He had taken it. But what did he plan to do with it? The figure walked over to the bomb and ripped it off the wall. Sparks flew everywhere.
"You failures," the figure said, "You couldn't even kill a few simple corruptions." The figure reached his hand out to the corruptions. They climbed onto his arm and they covered his entire body. The hood was now gone. I knew who he was. Herobrine now had the Commander's energy.
"Oh, it's great to be king." Chapter Ten:
Chapter Ten: Nightmist and Nemesis
Perspective: Max
"You're dead," Bruce said, "Tanks killed you twenty years ago." Herobrine smiled.
"Did he?" Herobrine said, "Or did I kill him?"
"Once again, this doesn't add up."
"Let me explain."
---------
Perspective: Herobrine
"When a few of you and-I think his name is Steve-ran off to fight the Ender Dragon while the one you call Tanks was stuck fighting me. I killed him quickly, stole his items, and created a decoy to disguise as him.
"For the last twenty years, I've been waiting for you to truly kill the Commander. That way, I could absorb the corrupted energy. Now, I am truly the conquerer of the world. I'll create havoc once again!
"All I need is one thing. I need the other crown. The only way to truly destroy the Great Balance is to claim both crowns. If I rule corruptions, the Nether, the Aether, and have both crowns, I can truly take over."
----------
Perspective: Max
"After a long time, it looks like I'll have revenge," a new voice said. Herobrine turned to see the new figure, who looked all black except for his glowing blue eyes.
"Oh, hello, George," Herobrine said. I then noticed the bat on Geroge's shoulder.
"Get him, Shade!" Geroge shouted. The bat he called Shade flew off his shoulder towards Herobrine. Herobrine fell to the ground, but then punched the bat.
"Try that trick again," Herobrine says, "and your little pet dies for real." With that, Herobrine vanished.
Geroge looked at us and said, "I'll kill you people later. You'll face Nightmist someday."
Nightmist backed into the shadows, which was easy due to his black skin. I was pretty sure he would come back.
I noticed that Kaslar hadn't been fighting this whole time. I turned to see a pale guy who looked between ages fifteen and eighteen who was fighting Kaslar. Well, fighting his mobs.
After chopping off the heads of many creepers, zombies, and skeletons, the guy finally stabbed Kaslar.
That's when the hooded man came back.
----------
Perspective: Christopher
Christopher was thinking about Ghirahim's offer. The group clearly had major flaws. But the evil guys tended to lose. Still, he could probably leave the group at any time. Revenge was good, but was it worth it? This was a tough decision.
It would change his life forever.
----------
Perspective: Cameron
After a few hours of island-hopping, we finally reached a massive castle. This must be where the Valkyries lived.
Valkyries.
"The third level contains the throne room. If we want to get to the queen, we need to defeat any Valkyries in the way," Risugami said.
We walked into the first room to be greeted by two winged warriors. One swooped down and swung her sword. Link blocked it while Angel flew up to fight the other one.
I came in to help Link fight the first one. The Valkyries had flight, but they also had speed. They had two qualities that most of us didn't have. But it was two against one. Link blocked the slashes while I attacked. She didn't stand a chance.
Steve and the others tried arching at the other Valkyrie, but she kept flying out of the way. It was hard to watch the fight because I still had to deal with the other Valkyrie.
Finally, Link managed to knock the Valkyrie off-balance. That's when we both slashed at her.
"You win," she said. At least we didn't have to kill her. I hadn't ever killed a living person (as far as I could remember at the moment).
I reached for a chest at the back of the room. I found a blowdart shooter. I only had a few darts, so I had to make this count. The first one missed, but the second one hit her. When the Valkyrie fell, Angel took one last final swing.
"You win," she said. That was both of them down.
----------
Perspective: Cameron
After a really long time, we finally got up to the second floor. I don't have a lot of room in this book, so I don't want to have to write down all of the battles. I do want to show the queen battle.
The throne room was pretty big, and the wall closed behind us, so we had no way out. The queen stood before us, carrying a large, shining sword.
"Um, hello, Your Highness," I said, "We seek your alliance in the battle with Drios."
"Okay," the Queen said, "If you can defeat me in a duel."
----------
Perspective: Max
"What do you want, Herobrine?" I asked, not wanting to deal with that. It was then that I realized that the hooded figure spoke with a voice that was different then Herobrine's.
He spoke, but not to me. He spoke to Kaslar and said, "You have failed me. I will let you live, but you must strengthen your mind, body, and mobs." The hooded figure raised a hand, and Kaslar vanished.
"I am Jacob," the hooded figure said, "and I wish to speak with Steve." Well, this was a surprise.
"Steve's in the Aether," I said, "he's on a quest to defeat Drios."
"No! He can't kill Drios!"
"Why?"
"Drios is my brother."
"What?"
"I will stop at nothing to return my three brothers to their home. I need to destroy what I have created. That includes you."
"I wouldn't be too sure," the new guy said, "Nemesis has a different opinion."
"I'll spare you for now," Jacob said, "But I will be back later."
My thoughts backtracked. Three brothers?
Chapter Eleven:
Things Start Making Sense (Not Really)
Perspective: Cameron
The Valkyrie Queen flew down to the ground and said, "You get the first move. Hit me and we begin."
Angel spoke up first; "Let's do this." She flew over and slashed, knocking the Valkyrie Queen backwards. The Queen quickly got back up and flew into the air.
"How about this?" she said, "No one else interferes. Wings against wings." Angel nodded, and they kept at it. I'll try and put as much as I can, but I'm over halfway through this book.
Angel swooped under a strike from the Valkyrie Queen. The Queen brought her sword back down, hitting Angel right in the head. She made a hard landing on the ground, but quickly recovered and flew back up.
After a long time of watching, it seemed they were perfectly matched. Even Risugami seemed surprised. Then someone slow-clapped behind us.
Then Ghirahim teleported in front of us, still clapping.
"Well, well, well," he said, "It looks like none of you got stronger. It's a shame I'll have to kill the lot of you." Christopher walked over to Ghirahim.
"I think I'll join you this time. These other guys aren't gonna get anywhere," he said.
"Then we'll kill them together."
Ghirahim took Christopher's hand, and Christopher's tunic and sword were suddenly enchanted with a black glow.
"Let's get them."
------------
Perspective: Max
"For now," Jacob said, "I'll leave my creepers with you." He held up his hand, and a vortex to the over world appeared above us. A bunch of creepers fell through. The vortex then closed.
"Attack," he commanded. The creepers marched towards us. Nemesis took out a white head and put it on. It turned into a creeper face. Suddenly, where Nemesis was just standing, stood a creeper.
The Nemesis/Creeper walked over to the other creepers. They exchanged a few hisses, then walked away. One creeper winked at us, and transformed back into us.
"That was amazing," Impedimos said, "How'd you do that?" Nemesis showed him the head. Impedimos reached for it, but Nemesis put it in his pocket.
"No one touches the mask except me," he said. Nethros appeared in front of us, ready to give us another message about saving the world.
"Herobrine seems to have gone to the overworld. I'm going to need you to go there," Nethros said, "Nemesis, when you guys get there, Aethros will take you to the Aether. There you must help the other heroes. You'll come in handy."
"Behind you!" Bruce shouted, notching an arrow and shooting it, killing a blaze.
"They must have escaped from Havorus!" Nethros yelled, "Get out! Quickly!"
"I've got a better idea," Nemesis said, "Whoever did that ice thing back there, shoot the ice when I shoot out fireballs." Star nodded, and Nemesis turned into a blaze. Sure enough, Nemesis's plan worked. The blazes got frozen from the icy fireballs.
"Now we run!" Nemesis yelled. We bolted for the portal. A volley of fireballs were fired as we stood in the portal. We barely made it out alive.
But something told me that they would be back.
-------------
Perspective: Nemesis
There's a lot you don't know about me. In fact, those other guys didn't know a lot about me. I actually knew Nethros. He created me and sent me to protect the Nether. But now I was going to the opposite dimension for more important matters.
Sure enough, Aethros appeared. Without saying a word, he grabbed my hand and took me up to the Aether. I saw a few people fighting a pale white man and a kid who seemed to radiate darkness. I realized that I was inside a building. It was time to do a little mind flip. I transformed into one of the people, a man in green clothing. They seemed to be targeting him.
I threw some snowballs at their eyes and went to the other side of the man in green clothing.
"No time to talk," I said, "We're going to trick them." The two were confused. That's when I striked, jabbing at the boy. After I hit him, he teleported away. Someone tapped my back, and I turned around and slashed at him. He vanished again. How was he doing this? But this time, he was gone for real.
I transformed back into myself and headed for the white man. He was dueling with the man in green clothing. I transformed into a spider and quickly got behind the white man and attacked him.
-------------
Perspective: Cameron
Who was this guy and how was he transforming? All I know was, he was taking down Ghirahim like a boss. Eventually, after this guy knocked Ghirahim down, Link stabbed Ghirahim and he vanished.
"We did it!" the new guy yelled.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"I'm Nemesis. Aethros sent me here to help you guys."
"Oh, cool."
I didn't trust this guy at all in reality.
After we did our introductions, we saw that Angel had defeated the Valkyrie Queen. I knew Angel was good, but this was surprising.
"You're a good fighter," the Queen said, "How about you join us?" Chapter Twelve:
Chapter Twelve: Up In Flames
Perspective: Cameron
"I'm in," Angel said, "But right now I have to stay with these guys. Gotta help save the world. You'll probably be able to tell when we need help. If we do."
The Queen nodded and said, "before you go, there's something I want you to take." The Queen got out a giant gold sword similar to her own and tossed it to Angel, who caught it.
"An official Valkyrie sword?" Angel said, "Cool."
As we left, I heard the Valkyrie Queen say to one of her associates, "I think I made the right decision here. But she said we'd know when to help her. But I don't know how we're supposed to know."
After we headed back to the entrance, I noticed that there was something strange about the spherical island that we had been on before. I could now see it from here. There appeared to be some sort of entrance into the heart of it.
"Am I the only one who notices that entrance to that island over there?" I asked. Risugami peered over, studying to see if he could find out anything about it.
"It appears to be where the Sky Lord's assistant dwells," Risugami said, "But that assistant is the Sun God."
"So we have two choices," I said, "We can either get our heads fried by the Sun God or get our heads sliced off by the Sky Lord."
"His assistant should be easier to defeat," Link said, "so I say we go for the Sun God."
"I second that motion," Jack said.
"Count me in," Nemesis said.
Eventually, it became a unanimous vote. So Steve took out his cobblestone and built us a brigde to the island so we wouldn't wear ourselves out jumping. It was a long walk, but it still saved time in the end. It's not like we'd ever run out of cobble.
It got really hot after we approached the entrance. The whole room was just a lair for the sun god. He was ugly, but he looked powerful.
"Oh hey," the Sun God said, "looks like I'll be the one to kill you. I can fry you with a single fireball. Try me."
"Oh, I'll try," Steve said, pulling out his sword.
The sun god threw a giant fireball at Steve. He rolled aside, but the fireball hit Tanks, who's fake Herobrine head began to burn off. I walked over.
"Wait a second," I said, "You're not Tanks. What did Herobrine do to the real one?" The zombie groaned, so I hacked his head off. He wasn't much help, anyway.
The sun god was about to shoot another fireball when Drios appeared. I could faintly see a smile under his hood.
"Looks like this is too easy for you," he said, "I thought it would be. Let me fix this." Drios raised an arm, and the sun god became enveloped in dark particles, making him look a lot more menacing.
"Have fun," Drios said, vanishing. The sun god took out a bigger fireball and threw it. We dodged it, but the thing exploded. It didn't destroy anything, but it still exploded. It was like TNT in water.
This time, the sun god shot a ball of ice. Some sort of instinct told me to deflect it. I hit the ball straight towards the Sun God's head. He was frozen in place, but some sort of smaller version of him rushed at us. It hit Nemesis, but he seemed okay.
Link ran forward and sliced at the frozen sun god. It finally thawed and created another fireball, and aimed it at Nemesis.
Nemesis put on a white head and transformed into a blaze. He took no damage from the fireball. I saw a chest to one corner of the room. I quickly fished out some more darts. One was poisoned.
"Hey, sun god!" I yelled, getting a dart ready. He shot an ice ball at me, and my dart deflected the ice ball. Once again he was frozen, sending the smaller version of him at me. The thing turned into smoke after I dodged it and it hit the wall.
I quickly shot the poisoned dart at the sun god and began slashing like crazy at him. Steve said something about the sun god being at "half health." Whatever that meant.
As this pattern continued, the Sun God threw bigger fireballs that made bigger explosions. For some reason, when he was almost dead, he stopped shooting ice balls. I looked over and saw Nemesis transform into a Zephyr. He shot one snowball at the sun god.
The sun god didn't freeze, but was blasted back through the wall, which crumbled. He fell out of the room and to the ground. That was the end of it.
------------
Perspective: Max
As we approached the village, I noticed something different. There was no village. How did this happen? I'll explain in a second.
All we saw were the charred remains of houses and a giant flaming torso of a man lying in the middle of it, dead As we looked around, trying to find survivors, another enderman approached us.
"I'm Uvvi," she said, "And didn't you hear? The sun god fell out of the sky for some reason and burned the entire village. The survivors escaped on ships. They're too far away to find now."
"So, what you're saying is, there's no village anymore," I said.

Normal World (from highest to lowest):
Aether:
Land of the Sky, ruled by a mysterious man intent on conquering our world. He will only be satisfied if we are either destroyed or under his command. The Aether is often referred to as the Uncharted Realm, as no one has ever gone in before (until now).
Overworld:
The land of humans. It is quite peaceful in the day, but five enemies appear at night. One comes from a mysterious dimension known as the End (see Lands Beyond). While many humans aren't that smart, some have discovered ways to access other dimensions. This place is where our protagonists call home. But will it be destroyed?
Nether:
The most dangerous region of the Normal World according to most people of the Overworld. This place is made up of a weak substance called Netherrack. Five mobs have been found here. Lava and fire are also abundant here. Some say that the evil Wither was born here, as its skeletal servants still roam the Nether.
Lands Beyond (no specific order):
End:
The single island that floats in an unknown part of space (as it seems). It is inhabited by strange creatures called Endermen who often teleport to the Overworld and bring blocks back to the End. No one knows its purpose, but it could be diabolical. Twenty years ago, the End's ruler was defeated by the valiant hero Steve.
Internet:
The mysterious realm that connects Minecraft to billions of other worlds. Not much is known about it, even by the people who have entered.
Human World:
I'm sorry, but nobody has actually been there. I can't tell you. Not yet. Keep reading, my friends.
Nightmare Realm:
When entered, anyone must face their worst nightmare. It is best to stay away, as an evil mastermind resides here.
As always, hope you enjoy!

Book Three: The Nightmare
Chapter Thirteen:
Chapter Thirteen: (Un)Lucky Number Thirteen
Perspective: Cameron
"Well, well, well," a familiar voice said behind us, "Look who fell into my trap." I didn't even have to look to tell it was Drios. I got out my bow and turned around. I fired an arrow and rolled to the side. I didn't see if it hit or not, because I felt myself flying upwards.
Under my feet was a patch of Gravitite. I took out my Zanite pick and mined it out. I made a hard fall, but I would be going in the air endlessly if I hadn't done something.
Drios raised an arm and Steve was suddenly encased in a cage made of bedrock. That's when Drios raised his arm and his hand glowed with dark energy, as if he were about to shoot an energy beam.
"One move and your little friend gets it," Drios said, "Try me."
"I wouldn't be too sure," Steve said, transforming back into Nemesis. Since Nemesis ran faster than the rest of us, he quickly avoided Drios's beam. The beam broke a bar of the cage, and Nemesis escaped. This was bad. Drios could break Bedrock.
Jack was quick to stab Drios with his rose. I don't know how that thing was so powerful, but it seemed to do a lot of damage. The real Steve did a sideslash on Drios.
"Oh, it's far from over," Drios said, "I have one more trick up my sleeve."

Perspective: Max
Suddenly, a strange-looking arrow whizzed by. Luckily, it missed Uvvi. A blonde guy who looked to be in his early twenties walked over and picked up the arrow.
"Sorry about that mix-up," he said, "I didn't realize you weren't going to try and kill me if I looked at you. I'm Chris."
"Umm… hi?" Uvvi said.
"So, what brings you here?" Bruce asked Chris.
"Aethros came and told me something about my cousin going to the Aether," Chris said, "Then he told me to look for you guys and I'm supposed to help you save the world."
After our introductions, we were pretty confused on what to do. That's when I heard the familiar laugh of Herobrine. Of course.
Bruce nocked an arrow and Chris took out a crossbow. Chris shot faster, but missed again. Bruce, as always, was right on target. He got Herobrine right between the eyes.
Herobrine removed the arrow from his head and laughed again. His eyes were still whiter than the crown he wore. Then a creeper exploded behind him. Jacob walked in from behind a charred tree.
He took the Crown of Destiny off of Herobrine's head and then grabbed his hand.
"No!" Star shouted, "Don't take the crown!" Star summoned up some ice, but Jacob and Herobrine had already vanished.
"What do you think he's up to?" I asked.
"I'm new here, so I have no idea," Uvvi said.
"I guess we'll just have to find out," Impedimos said.

The floor under us turned black and then the room started spinning. Everyone else looked dizzy, too. Drios laughed and I watched through the blurriness as he took of his hood.
The last thing I saw was Notch's face. Chapter Fourteen:
Chapter Fourteen: "Welcome To Your Worst Nightmare"
Perspective: Cameron
Well, that was a surprise. Drios was Notch. Trust me, things only get stranger from here.
Everything here was dark and menacing, like the Nether gone goth or something. Strange creatures roamed everywhere. The few people I saw ran from any of these creatures that they saw.
Then Drios's head appeared, much larger. Just the head, too. It laughed and his eyes glowed red.
"Welcome to the Nightmare Realm," Drios said, "And here to top it off is me, your worst nightmare. I snuck my way into your dreams so I could send you here and kill you, because my nightmarish form is my stronger than my normal form. Welcome to your worst nightmare."
"Then why can I just stab you... like this," I said, jabbing my sword into the head, which disappeared before I hit it. Drios's head appeared in front of me again and shot a dark beam out of its mouth.
I backflipped away, narrowly missing the beam. Where were the others? Fighting a giant head is a lot harder alone.
If this is a dream, I thought, I really want to wake up.
---------
Perspective: Steve
I was in some dark world with beasts roaming free. A few people I saw ran away in terror. I heard something behind me and I bolted. I don't know why, but I had the urge to run away. There wasn't much place to run. This place was some psychotic cavern.
I found a rock that looked like I could roll aside to find a crawlspace. Unfortunately, it was heavier than it looked. I turned around to see whatever was about to kill me.
The impossible was facing me, ready to strike. The Ender Dragon lived again.
"Oh," it said, "Hello, Steve. It's been a long time. If you're here, you must really love trying to die. Welcome to your worst nightmare."
---------
Perspective: Nemesis
Where Steve, Cameron, Angel, and Jack were was now a swirling black vortex that I didn't dare step into. Link looked pretty nervous about it.
A strange blue woman popped out of Link's sword. I know it's weird, but it happened right in front of me.
"Master," the woman said, "This portal leads to a similar place to where you vanquished Demise. Until the threats inside it are defeated, no one can come out. When entered, anyone in there must face their worst nightmare. I suggest not traveling into that portal, as there is a 62% chance that those who are already in there will defeat their nightmares."
She talked a lot slower than it looked like. I felt as if she were talking for 10 minutes. She was really boring.
"Thanks for the info, Fi," Link said, "I guess we should rescue Christopher. I've got a plan, and it involves Nemesis."
"As you wish, Master," Fi said, going back into Link's sword.
"Wait, what's this plan of yours?" I asked.
"You're gonna disguise as Christopher. I'll get the real one and find out how to turn him back to normal. Then, you stay behind and disguise as Christopher for a little while longer, then kill Ghirahim. Got it?" Link said.
"Sounds like a plan."
----------
Perspective: Cameron
"You're not gonna get away with this," I said.
"Already have," Drios said, "I've trapped the others in here, too. I'll only give you one. Steve has to fight the Ender Dragon again. But there's no sand, no one to help him, and the dragon is much stronger."
"You monster," I said, "But it doesn't matter. I know Steve. He'll kill the Ender Dragon again."
"Even if he does," Drios said, "He won't see you ever again. Imagine how crushed your father will be when he finds out his son disappeared into thin air. Like you were just a dream. Or a nightmare."
"Nice wordplay," I said sarcastically, "But I don't feel like vanishing." I leaped towards him and swung my sword. Drios's head vanished again.
Then my sword started to glow. I was teleported to where Drios vanished to. I slashed at him again. This time I hit him. His head tilted back and shrieked in pain.
"You're lucky you got that sword," Drios said, "Or else you'd already be dead. That sword does contain some of the End's power, but only a tiny fragment. Less than an Ender Crystal's energy. It's nothing compared to me."
More beams were fired. I dodged a few, but one hit me and I went flying back towards a wall of purple stone. Drios moved over to me and readied another beam.
If that sword could teleport me, it could probably teleport back to me.
"Hey ugly," I said, "Catch!" I threw my sword, purposely missing. Drios turned and laugh. I jumped onto his head. Then, as I planned, the sword teleported back into my hand and I stabbed him again, and again, and again.
"It's not that easy," he said, "I'm invincible in this realm. After all, I'm your worst nightmare."
"Well then," I said, "I'm about to become your worst nightmare. Get ready, demented Notch."
"Wait, you kno-" Drios said. He didn't finish the sentence, because I got him right in the eye. Another beam knocked me against the wall. I could tell I was almost dead, but I was gonna go down trying.
Then I was saved by a rose. Jack attacked Drios before he shot another beam.
"I don't think so, mister," Jack said, removing the rose from the back of Drios's head. Jack tossed me a splash potion of healing.
"So you got through your nightmare," I said, "What was it?"
"I don't feel like talking about it. We just need to get out," Jack said.
"I think we all have to defeat our nightmares," I said. I stabbed Drios, who charged up a beam that looked much more powerful. I dodged it, but he purposely missed. The wall began to crumble. The entire cavern was about to collapse.
"Run!" I yelled. Me and Jack ran away, avoiding more beams. Finally we reached a smaller cave. Behind us, the main cavern caved in. Everything was buried. I heard the same painful scream that Drios had made before. His nightmare form was dead.
"We better go find Steve and the others," I said, "Before it's too late." That's when I heard the roar of the Ender Dragon. That meant we were close.
Chapter Fifteen:
Chapter Fifteen: The End of the World
Perspective: Steve
I rolled to the side as the dragon charged. I quickly got as far away as I could. Then the dragon breathed fire I quickly bolted as the flames began to sear the ground. The ground was flammable. This really was my worst nightmare.
"You're running out of places to stand," The Ender Dragon said, "Soon you'll be falling for all eternity." The dragon breathed fire again and scorched a spider. Then a tall, slender, red-goggled scientist ran over in rage.
"You killed him!" the scientist guy said, "You killed a spider! Now, I will kill you!" He summoned in many cave spiders, which stormed the Ender Dragon.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"I am Spiadar'stai, The King of Arthropods," Spiadar said, "And I will kill anything that kills a spider."
I made sure I didn't mention that I had killed many spiders in my lifetime. The dragon was poisoned, but still hardly took any damage. He eventually killed all the Cave Spiders.
Spiadar approached a giant version of a warrior who was massacring spiders. He quickly defeated it with an army of Silverfish, then vanished. How did he vanish so quickly?
The ground was still burning quick, and the dragon couldn't get burned. But clearly, he could get poisoned.
Then Risugami appeared, facing his worst nightmare. It was the witch that had cursed the village. But with Herobrine's eyes. And it was giant. Then I knew what to do.
"Hey, Risugami!" I yelled, "Try and get a little closer to the Ender Dragon. I think you know what to do from there!" Risugami did as I said. The Witch readied a potion of poison and threw it. Risugami took out and Ender Pearl and threw it in my direction. A few seconds later, he was at my side.
The dragon could barely move due to the large amount of toxins. Risugami continued to fight the Witch, but I couldn't see much of the fight.
---------
Perspective: Angel
The song was playing. A song she hadn't heard in a long time. Angel knew where she was. She was in Lavender Town. How she got there, she didn't know.
She checked her pockets for the cat photos that she used to calm her down. They were gone. Hopefully no one was close. Angel was about to go insane.
Beasts of all sorts were roaming the streets of Lavender Town. Angel went beserk, ready to kill everything in sight. She took out her Valkyrie sword and began slashing at everything.
Even with only an iron chestplate, she hardly got hurt. Lavender Town was stained with blood and littered with body parts of dead monsters. All of this was Angel's doing, but it was because of the music. She couldn't control herself.
The song was getting louder. If anybody came to help her, she might kill them. She flew around, looking for additional threats. That's when the nausea potion hit her. She slowly descended to the ground, calming down.
Someone, she didn't know who, began to drag her body away. She blurrily saw a familiar face. She couldn't tell who it was, though.
"Is she okay?" a voice asked.
"I think she'll be fine. Where'd you get that nausea potion anyway?" another voice asked.
"There's a lot you don't know about me and my dad," the first voice said. She realized that it was Cameron talking. So who was the other one?
"Why did she go all beserk anyway, Jack?" Cameron said. Okay, so the other person was Jack.
"Risugami said something about Lavender Town Syndrome a while back," Jack said, "I think that's what she has. That music is pretty creepy."
Angel managed to mumble, "yeah," but it was very hard to understand. She tried to nod, which they seemed to understand. Angel felt sick to her stomach, but was beginning to recover.
Finally, Angel managed to get to her feet. She looked at all the carnage in shock.
"Man, it's worse than I thought," Angel said, "We just need to get away from that music before I do it again." She flew off while the others followed.
"Wait! We need to help Steve!" Jack yelled.
---------
Perspective: Steve
Risugami had luckily taken down the Witch, but I wasn't doing good. The dragon was at 3/4 health even after all this fighting. Risugami said he'd be back with the others to help, but I didn't see them.
I fired a few arrows at the dragon and rolled away from the fire. A spark got onto my armor, but the obsidian took away most of the pain. Then a projectile whizzed over my head and hit the dragon.
I turned around to see the unexpected. Behind me was the village librarian, holding a glowing book.
"Hey, Steve!" the Librarian said, "Looks like my spellbook is working! It's about time I helped save the day."
"Me too," another voice said. Walter, the first stronghold explorer, walked in, carrying a diamond sword I gave him twenty years ago. He was also wearing orange armor.
Walter ran through the orange flames unharmed and slashed the dragon. A charge from the dragon knocked Walter back, though. The librarian shot a spell that looked like an ice ball. It froze the dragon, but the ice was already beginning to melt.
"Now, Walter!" the librarian yelled. Walter got up and stabbed the dragon again, breaking off many bits of ice. The dragon now had 2/3 of its health.
"There's two things I gotta tell you, Steve," the librarian said, "First, my name is Craig. Second, the village got burned down."

Perspective: Max
"So what do we do now?" Torrent asked, "Jacob has the Crown of Destiny. He wants to kill us all, and now he can do it. Steve's really our only hope because he's in the Aether."
"Maybe you can get us some intel through your squids," Bruce suggested.
"Not a bad idea," Torrent said. He walked over to the river and began to have some mind talk with a squid. The squid swam away. Ten minutes later, the squid returned.
"He says that he saw Jacob on one of the ships," Torrent said, "He also heard someone talking about the town of Novacia. I think we should head there."
"Steve gave me a map of a 10,000-block radius," Impedimos said, "Let's use that." Impedimos pulled out a large map and rolled it out on the stump of a large tree.
It was to the northeast. It was pratically a straight line from where we were to Novacia, except the ocean stoob between the two turns. If we walked on the land we could go around the ocean, but it would take much longer.
"It looks like Novacia is a city about a three-days walk from here. However, by boat, you can get there in one day," Uvvi said, "Wait, why don't I just teleport us there?"
"I'm an enderman and I didn't even think of that," Impedimos said.
"Everyone join hands," Uvvi said, "I only have the energy to do this once." We did as she told, and we formed a circle. In an instant, we were in a small city. It was still larger than the village used to be.
We walked over to the shore and watched as the ship arrived. Jacob teleported over, wearing the Crown of Destiny, and turned to Torrent.
"You like squids, huh?" Jacob said, "I can offer the highest protection for them."
"Show me, then," Torrent said, not believing it. Jacob summoned a charged creeper by a squid.
"Anything gets near it, that creeper will explode," Jacob said.
"And kill the squid," Torrent said, "Offer declined." Torrent dug his scythe into Jacob's shoulder then took it out and did a backflip.
"You fool!" Jacob shouted, "Then how about this? You bring me Steve in 24 hours or else I destroy the Overworld." Chapter Sixteen:
Chapter Sixteen: Derik
Perspective: Cameron
Finally, we managed to get Angel to go in the right direction. I heard the roar again and the crackling of fire.
"This is the place," I said over another roar. We walked out into a much larger cavern where most of the floor was on fire. Steve was standing in one of the few safe spots. On top of a rock was the village librarian. Helping Steve fight was an explorer.
"He's halfway dead!" Steve yelled, "Keep it up, Craig!" The librarian, who apparently was named Craig, took out a red book and opened it. Out came three green orbs of energy that hit the dragon, making it go uncontrollably fast when it moved.
The dragon laughed and said, "you'll never win. Not while I have an extra trick up my sleeve!" The dragon smacked his tail against the wall and rocks began to fall. While the explorer was distracted, the dragon lunged for him.
Then a scythe flew by my head. Angel must've thrown it. The dragon was hit in mid-air. Steve slashed at its fallen body a few times.
"You really though this would work?" Steve said, "Then take this!" Steve struck his sword straight into the dragon's neck.
The flames disappeared. The dragon's body vanished. Left behind was an enchanted book. Steve raised his sword into the air in victory. Then a voice called in. It was Link's voice.
"Are you guys all right?" he yelled, "According to Fi, you guys should be getting out right about now."
"Who's Fi?" Craig asked.
"Let me try this again," Link said, "According to what I know, you guys will be able to get out when all of your nightmares are destroyed because you all entered at the same time."
"Then why haven't we left?" Risugami said.
"Because of me," a new voice said from behind us.
"Demise," Link said. That's when I realized that Link must've had his head inside the portal when he talked to us. I knew that much because he fell to the ground three seconds after he said Demise's name. Demise was scary looking. He was about nine feet tall with fiery hair a lot of muscle.
"Ghirahim," Demise said, "Come to me!" Ghirahim appeared right then, ready to kill anyone Demise asked him to.
"Dispose of them, Ghirahim," Demise ordered.

"We'll agree," Star said, "if you give us that crown."
"You're trying to make a bet with the person who's about to cause the apocalypse?" Jacob said.
"We could kill you here and now," I said, "But we like to be fair."
Jacob sighed and nodded. He gave us the crown. I put it in my inventory in case I went crazy like Jacob did.
"I know where Steve is," Jacob said, "But I'm not going in there. But you three are."
He pointed to Star, Impedimos, and Torrent. He raised an arm and a black vortex began to form. I leaped forward, trying to push them out of the way. But I was too late. The vortex had opened and all three of them were sucked in.
My momentum carried me in with them.
----------
Perspective: Bruce
I didn't dare step into that vortex. I turned to Jacob.
"Where are they?" I asked.
"Only in the Nightmare Realm," Jacob said, "They should be fine."
"You think they'll just be fine?!" I yelled, "They could die in there."
"So?" Jacob said, "I was going to kill them anyway. Along with the rest of you. Kaslar and Troll, dispose of them!"
"My pleasure," the familiar voice of Troll said. Troll walked in, Kaslar behind him. Kaslar took out some spawn eggs. Wither Skeletons with Diamond Swords came out.
Troll there pieces of primed TNT, exploding bits off of houses. Then Jacob raised a hand and we were teleported into an obsidian stadium with Jacob being the only one watching.
"Let the games begin," he said.
---------
Perspective: Max
I opened my eyes to a black-and-purple world. Strange creatures roamed everywhere. In front of me stood a tall, slender man in a red cloak. He wasn't an enderman, but I had seen him before.
"You're…" I said, "You're Derik. You killed my parents."
"Yes, it's been a while," Derik said, "I'm here to finish what I started. I'm here to kill you. I'm going for your son next."
"I wouldn't be too sure," I said, stabbing my sword into his chest. I quickly removed it as he took out his lapis rapier. Derik struck down, nearly splitting my helmet.
"Before we begin," Derik said, "I want to explain why I want to kill your family. If you didn't know, Drios actually works for me. Someone in your family was destined to destroy Drios. At the time, I had no idea that you were born. I was informed that only your parents lived in the household."
"But for what goal?" I asked, "What is your evil plan? What are you trying to do?"
"If you didn't know," Derik said, "Those were only your virtual parents. You're not from Minecraft, just like Steve. You were playing Minecraft with your cousin's Reality Mod installed. But I am from Minecraft. It was a lonely world. When people from the real world came in, I took the opportunity. I could rule them and possibly start an empire. With Drios's plan, I could destroy those who defied me."
"So you've been the evil mastermind from day one," I said, "Once Steve finds a way to get back to the normal world, I can take you with me."
"But I won't be ruler," Derik said, "I'm not going to just give up that sort of power. That's why I gave Herobrine his powers. He works for me, too. I'm the reason why Steve risked his life to fight the Ender Dragon. Jacob may seem like the evil one, but he doesn't want power. He just wants the ones he knows back in his world. I can't let him do that. Those who do not obey must be destroyed. That means you too, Max."
"Not if I can help it," I said. I struck him again and ducked under his next blow. The room was just a box. There were no advantages. Just us and our weapons. That was it. Our weapons.
I always kept a bunch of potions handy. I had become the town alchemist's assistant. I took out a weakness III potion and threw it. Then I threw a slowness II. He moved slowly, so I easily avoided his blows.
"What use is it?" he asked, "I can't even die here. But it won't be the same for you. It's over."
"Because you're not gonna get away with this," I said, stabbing him in the chest. He vanished and hit me from behind. I quickly took out a high-level speed potion and threw it at him. He moved around uncontrollably fast, hitting a wall a few times.
"It's over," Derik said, "Come! Come, my servants!" The walls of the room exploded, letting in thousands of corruptions.
"Don't you see?" Derik said, "It's been me all along. This is the true world of Corruptions. I rule the Nightmare Realm. I am the Nightmare."
The corruptions enveloped him, and then he grew into a giant. Corrupted wings sprouted from his back. His rapier was corrupted, too.
"This world isn't enough," Derik said, "But like this, I can take over all. But, I am willing to spare you. If you give me the Crown of Destiny."
"No," I said, "You said it yourself. It's good to have power. Those who do not obey must be destroyed."
I concentrated. Herobrine and Jacob seemed to be stronger with this thing on. Then an orb of light appeared in my hand. I threw it at Derik. He flew out of the way, but the orb had already homed in on him. It hit him and created a small explosion, knocking him to the ground.
"Where there is darkness, there is light," I said, "My work here is done."
"Not yet," Derik said, getting back up to his feet. He swung his giant rapier and the crown seemed to respond to the danger. Without even trying, I evaded all of his attacks.
He sent a wave of corruptions to attack me. I pulled out my sword again. Once again, I concentrated on the crown's energy. My sword glew with a white light. When I did a test slash, it shot a beam of light, which penetrated a bunch of the corruptions. In a matter of seconds, I took them out.
"This is impossible," Derik said, "You can't be the master of the crown. I'll be back." With that, Derik vanished. That's when I heard Star shouting in anger. I turned to see him losing control and killing every creature in sight.
I summoned a weak orb of light and shot it at Star. Star stopped and calmed down.
"Well, that was an easy nightmare to take care of," I said, "Now where's Torrent and Impedimos?"
"I'm sure they're fine," a man in a black robe said. A piece of fabric was over his mouth.
"Oh, hello Star," he said.
Chapter Seventeen:
Chapter Seventeen: The Penultimate Peril
Perspective: Cameron
Before we could help Link, there was a white flash. I saw a shadow approaching, so I threw the first thing I felt in my pocket at it. Sadly, it was my dart launcher.
"Now is not the the time to leave," Link's voice said, "What's the dart launcher for?"
I never got to respond. Me and Angel were transported into a massive blue throne room. It was obviously the castle of Drios. I looked over to the throne. Drios stood up and walked forward.
"Oh, hello there," Drios said, "Let me get Christopher to take care of things." Christopher walked in and stood beside Drios.
"Of course, master," Christopher said, taking out Nemesis's sword. Nemesis stabbed Drios in the side.
"Why, you little-" Drios said, but was interrupted by a strike from Angel.
"That's it!" Drios yelled. Angel and Nemesis were mysteriously launched to the entrance of the throne room. Drios raised an arm and thousands of dark soldiers came out of the ground. The army headed straight for the two.
"Get 'em, girls!" a familiar voice said. Then the left wall exploded, letting in the entire Valkyrie army. There were a lot more Valkyries than soldiers, so every two Valkyries were assigned to a soldier.
Steve and the others bursted through the normal entrance, ready to fight. They noticed the army and began a historic battle. While they took on the army, I was stuck with the general.
Then seven clones of Drios appeared, making a circle around me. The circle turned, and I couldn't tell which was which.
"Can't you just give me a real fight?" I asked.
"Illusion is the fighter's best weapon," all eight said in unison.

Perspective: Max
"I have to finish something I started," Star said, "You go find the others." I headed off to look for Impedimos. Torrent was handy with a scythe, but Impedimos didn't do much fighting.
I found Impedimos in a large cavern, fighting the Ender Dragon in a large cave that resembled the End. Apparently, I had missed most of the fight. All of the crystals had been destroyed.
"Your death will be more painful than what happened to your parents," Impedimos said, "I just dropped them into the void. You will be torn apart limb by limb." Impedimos charged over and stabbed his sword into the dragon's snout.
"Impedimos, the sand!" I yelled. Impedimos nodded and jumped back to a ledge on the lower part of the island. The dragon flew in after him. I followed, ready to watch the fight.
Impedimos tricked the dragon in a similar matter to how Steve killed the dragon. The small cave in the island was filled with pillars of sand. Impedimos guided the dragon so it ate through one of the pillars and got crushed by the top. Impedimos took his sword, but he couldn't bring himself to do it.
"KILL IT!" I yelled, "It's a fake one." Impedimos approached the dragon, took his sword, and stabbed the beast between the eyes.
"You did it," I said, "But we've still got to save Torrent." We headed back up to the surface of the island. We headed out the way we came in.
"It looks like this path leads to the upper section of the caverns," Impedimos said, pointing to another cave system. We headed up through many empty caverns until we heard a loud shout.
"YOU MONSTER!" the voice of Torrent yelled. I hurried in to see Torrent fighting a group of hunters with black leather armor. Bits of inc sacs were still caught on their blades. Torrent finally noticed us, but didn't look in our direction. His head was down in an odd position.
"Get away from me," Torrent said, "Get as far away as you can." I took a few steps back, unsure of what was about to happen. Torrent raised his head, but his eyes were red. His scythe glowed purple.
Torrent charged forward, taking out ten hunters each in a single strike. One hit him from behind, so Torrent leaped back from another strike and cut off the hunter's arm with his scythe. Torrent then slashed his scythe into the hunter's chest.
Torrent took out a few more hunters very quickly. He had gone completely, totally insane. He was massacring them faster than Steve took out the zombies at the zombie invasion twenty years back.
Finally, Torrent got to the leader, who threw an inc sac at Torrent's face. While Torrent wiped the ink from his face, the leader stabbed Torrent in the chest.
"Bad move," Torrent said as the leader removed his sword. Torrent sliced his scythe down onto the hunter's shoulder and rolled to the side. Torrent removed his scythe and stabbed the leader in the back.
Torrent used his scythe to block blows from the leader, who was tiring. Meanwhile, Torrent looked like he had more energy inside of him than when he began. Torrent finally brought down his scythe onto the leader's head.
"We did it!" I said as Torrent's eyes returned to normal, along with his scythe.
"What'd we do?" he asked.
"All of our nightmares were defeated," I said, "Now we just have to get out."
"Where's Star?" Impedimos asked.
"Star has to finish a fight," I said, "I think he can find us." A white vortex appeared by the entrance to the cavern. Impedimos looked back one before going in. He was followed by me and Torrent.
As soon as I stepped food into the vortex, there was a white flash. Then I was in a blue castle, where I saw Steve and a lot of other people fighting some dark soldiers. I saw Cameron dealing with a fight of his own.
This wasn't good.

Perspective: Cameron
"This is gonna be a lot easier for me than you think," I said, reaching into my pocket for a dart launcher. Oh wait. I didn't have one. It was time to improvise.
I took out my bow and shot a dart at one of the clones. It went right through its body and he vanished in a puff of smoke. The dart bounced off a wall and hit another. It continued the pattern and finally hit the real Drios.
He grunted, then turned invisible. Faint particles surrounded where he once was. A beam shot out and I jumped back. He was definitely invisible. I took out a glass block.
Using the glass, I reflected the next beam, which hit a wall. I flew forward from a beam that came from behind. I quickly turned around and reflected the next beam, which finally hit Drios.
"I'll just settle this the old-fashioned way," he said, turning visible again. He descended to the ground and readied a beam. I reached for my sword, but found it was gone. It was lodged n the ground where I had entered.
From the battle, I noticed that Steve was struggling to look my way. Then one of them, the explorer, threw a diamond sword to me. This one was enchanted. Then I realized my dreams had become reality.
I dodged a beam from Drios and charged forward, trying to move to the left and not the right this time. But Drios teleported over and shot another beam. This one hit me and sent me flying out the way the Valkyries went in.
The dream had always ended before I hit the ground. That meant this would be my first time actually seeing myself meet my doom. That was it!
If the dream ended before I died, I could still live. I took out my fishing pole and threw it up. A few seconds later, George flew over. I grabbed onto his leg and put another blueberry on the pole.
I rode him back up to the castle and flew in, smashing right into Drios's surprised face. I quickly jumped off and did a roll to prevent myself from getting hurt from the fall.
I took the Ender Sword out of the ground and walked over to Drios's body and prepared myself for the final blow. Just as I was about to bring my sword down, someone grabbed my arm.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," a voice said, twisting my arm. I noticed it was a man in a brown hood. He walked over and took the Crown of Chaos off of Drios's head. Then he walked over to me.
"Drios was originally on the path of good," the man said, "But then he came upon this crown. He couldn't handle the power. I know who can." I waited for him to put the crown on his own head. But he didn't. He put the crown on my head.
Then I fainted.
Ending:
Ending: The 24 Hours
Perspectuve: Star
"It's been a while, Dilikau," Star said as Max left to find the others, "I didn't think we'd ever finish this. Let the best fighter win." Star noticed that his necklace was pointing to Dilikau.
"You kept yours too," Dilikau-the man in the robe-, said, "It seems like a sort of sign. Like we were supposed to finish the fight we started so long ago. It's a small world after all. Shall we begin?"
Star nodded, taking out his sword. He leaped into the air and dodged a strike from Dilikau. Star came down with a hard strike, but Dilikau blocked it with his dagger. Star got hit by Dilikau's next attack.
Star rolled to the side and charged at Dilikau, hitting him twice. Dilikau hit Star and jumped back sliding underneath Star's feet to dodge a downwards strike. Star turned around to face Dilikau.
They were locked in a fierce duel. It seemed no one would win, just like before. It had been many years, but their fighting techniques didn't seem to have changed. It was a boring pattern. One would try to hit the other when an opportunity opened up, but the blow would be blocked.
After a long time, Star finally knocked Dilikau's dagger out of his hand. However, Dilikau was ready. He did a backflip and picked up his dagger. He then stabbed at Star's shoulder. Star ducked just in time.
"It's time to show you what I can really do," Dilikau said, puling out a tome. Then a wave crashed in, carrying him towards Star. He took out a gun and shot at Star while the water went by. Star was hit at least three times.
Star summoned an ice spike, but Dilikau avoided it with another wave. Star summoned another spike where the wave was headed. Dilikau was momentarily stunned after he rammed right into it. Star then froze him.
Star slashed at Dilikau through the ice, thawing him out. Dilikau ducked under and stabbed Star again with his dagger. Star jumped back, but Dilikau hit Star with an attack from his gun.
A wave hit Star from behind and he was blown forward where Dilikau was ready to strike. Star rolled to the side before Dilikau could attack. Star froze the wave and then slashed at the back. Star watched as the ice crashed down onto Dilikau.
"You're doing better than I thought," Dilikau said, "But I always knew I would win." Dilikau fired a single shot over Star's head. It hit the wall and the ceiling of the cavern began to crumble.
There was nowhere to run. Star created a large barrier of ice over his head to protect himself, but it was no use. The rocks crashed through and the rocks toppled onto his head. He had been buried alive.
Star then realized that he was still alive. Star pushed on a boulder and created an opening. Dilikau was smiling. He had won.
"You're really good, Star," he said, "I can make you better. A lot better. Come with me."

Perspective: Steve
The army vanished. Me and Max headed for the man in the brown hood.
"What did you do to my son, you freak?" Max yelled.
"He's the only one who can control that crown," Jacob said, "If the forces of evil get that crown, it could mean the end of all of us. It's a worthy sacrifice."
"Not in our case, you creep," I said, "I'm going to end this."
"You dare challenge your own brother?"
"Wait, what?" I said. This was a surprise. Why is the evil one always related to the good one?
"I came to rescue you and your siblings," Jacob said, "I'm going to kill the rest."
"Not on my watch," I said, taking out my sword.
"I don't have time for this," Jacob said, "I'll come back for you later." Jacob raised an arm and an army of creepers attacked those who fought the dark soldiers.
Behind me I heard the notorious hissing. I turned around and swung my sword. This creeper was charged, and I was too late.
The world exploded in a white flash.
---------
Perspective: Steve
"Oh my goodness! You're alive!" I heard Nemesis said. I opened my eyes. Everything was so blurry. The room was deadly silent. It seemed that everyone had left. Or died.
"How long was I out?" I asked.
"It's been twenty-four hours, Steve. Jacob sent an army of creepers. All the Valkyries are dead. Angel was the last to die. Link beat Ghirahim, but Demise vanished."
"I don't know how I missed all of that. Where are the others?"
"Most have disappeared. Jack, Risugami, Christopher, Bruce, Legendary-I mean, Star-Cameron, and Max are all missing."
"What was that about Legendary?"
"Legendary's armor broke a few days ago. He all memory of when you guys fought together. His real name is Starborn."
"Where is everyone? How do you know so much?"
"Everyone's in the city of Novacia. The old village burned down. Luckily, everyone survived. I headed back to the surface on my own and got all the info there. You had also disappeared, but I was sent back to check the area. Then I found you, still alive."
"So what do we do now?"
"My task was to head into the Nightmare Realm. That was where Star was last seen."
"So, we have to face our nightmares again?"
"Well, you do. I haven't been there yet. How are we going to get there, anyway?"
"We're gonna have to make a quick trip to my house. Or what's left of it," I said. Finally my vision cleared. I was in the same spot where the creeper exploded.
Me and Nemesis headed back over to the portal. Everything was so confusing. It had only been a few days, but it seemed like an eternity. Finally, after about an hour of walking and jumping, we reached the portal.
The biggest shock hit me when we got back. I prepared myself to look at the carnage. But there was none. My entire house was intact. I ran over to the ladder, leaving Nemesis behind.
I looked out my window, but I couldn't see much. It was unusually dark outside. I was glad of that. I didn't want to see all that had happened to my village. That's when I realized that this wasn't my village.
My house was in the End. Epilogue: Trapped
Perspective: Bruce
After I hit Jacob with that arrow, I blacked out for some reason. Odd. When I woke up, I was in a dimly lit room made of stone bricks, some mossy or cracked. It was strange how both could never happen on the same block.
My vision was very bad. Someone had hit me with a blindness potion. I reached into my inventory for my milk bucket and quickly drank. In an instant my vision increased.
Dangling in the room was a familiar cage. It was the same exact cage that was used to contain Jack's mother twenty years ago. But now inside it was Tanks. How did he get here? How did I get here?
"Bruce!' Tanks said, "Thank goodness! I've been a prisoner of Herobrine for twenty years now! You've got to get me out of here!"
"I'll do what I can," I said, "But it's not like there's a switch in here labeled 'Release'"
"Ha ha. Very funny, Bruce. Seriously, though, Get me out!"
"All right. Let me take a look around," I said. The room wasn't very big. It was about 10x10x10. A perfect cube. There was no doorway. Or at least, none marked with actual doors.
Then I noticed something. A 2x2 square on the bottom of one of the walls was made of Chiseled Stone Bricks. I took out my pickaxe and broke them.
Inside was a spiral staircase that led down into a dimly lit room. Inside was a lever. Well, this was easy. Too easy. I mined out the block next to it and crawled into the redstone.
This wasn't a release switch. It was a trap. I quickly mined out the TNT blocks and crawled back the the space by the lever. Waiting for me was a tall man in a red cloak.
"Oy, one of those heroes," He said, "I'll deal with you later." With that, he left. The lever hadn't been hooked up to anything. I walked back over to Tanks.
But the cage was opened. But standing where Tanks was was the real Herobrine. Tanks had all but vanished. Then I realized it. Tanks was just Herobrine's disguise.
"What did you do to Tanks?" I asked him, drawing my bow, "You have three seconds to answer."
"Why tell you when I can show you?" Herobrine asked. He pulled on a lever to his left and the back wall toppled down. There stood something gold. I couldn't tell what it was because so much light reflected off of it.
"Behold," Herobrine said, "my greatest trophy." Finally I managed to make out what it was. It was a gold statue. It showed a warrior on his knees, as if begging for mercy. It was a statue of Tanks.
Chapter One released! (Just edited it. I accidentally put Legendary as one of the people fighting the mysterious dark lord instead of Jack. Just fixed it.)

I am looking forward to see how this book turns out, and I hope that you can make this story...... more detailed than The Eye Project. No offense, but it did seem to go a little too fast and didn't really have much detail, if you read a good fanfic you'd see what I'm talking about in a way... Btw, are you going to set a schedule of when you post chapters?
Name: Kaslar Good or Evil?: Evil! Mob They Control: (See 'Weapons and Armor'.) Ground Quest or Sky Quest?: Hmm... Ground Quest. Bio: He was once a villager until he discovered the secrets of mob necromancy. It corrupted his mind and he became obsessed with mobs. One day, the villagers decided to kick him out because of his unnaturalness, but when they confronted him, he sent his newly created mobs after them. The entire village was slaughtered and burnt to the ground. Ever since, he has spread chaos wherever possible... Personality: He is ruthless and chaotic. He only cares for himself, and will do anything to accomplish his tasks. Weapons and armor: He only has one actual weapon: a diamond pickaxe with efficiency 10. But his main form of offense is far more dangerous: he carries spawn eggs that create mobs of all sorts that obey him. In addition, whenever one of his mobs kills an enemy, the mob becomes more powerful. He carries mostly zombies and other basic mob eggs, but this is what happens when you are a threat to him:
Appearance: Wears a long, black cloak. Not much is visible, but his face is like that of a wither skeleton's and his hands are of an enderman. Chapter You Want Them to be Introduced (optional): Anytime. Other: I hope we're allowed to make 2 characters.

Kaslar will be a useful character for around Book Two, which involves more of Ground Quest than the other ones will. He'll also appear in the next story. So you are accepted. He will make his first appearence in chapter four. I've released the name in a conversation that I included you in. Check your Messenger.
Chapter Three has been added! We are almost done with book one (already )
Ground Quest or Sky Quest?: Both? Can this be an option?
Bio: While being captive in a asylum for killing her parents due to the fact that she suffered from the LTS (Lavander Town Syndrome),she kept her sanity with pictures of cute cats. After she was completly cured from the syndrome, even though she can still hear the song in her head, she got an apartment and made a pair of wings from wood. After testing it,it could only work if wind was around,so she added a fan behind incase she was stuck somewhere.
Personality: She can be calm, but if ultra creepy.. idk, bats or videos somehow get in her head, she really can get mad and start killing like a complete boss.
Appearance: A white and black hoodie, normal pants with pockets, which she filled with pictures of cute cats, just incase she got mad.
Weapons and Armor: Razor Blade Hoe and Iron Chestplate.
Chapter You Want Them to be Introduced: Ending of Chapter 2 or begining of Chapter 3.
Other: Make her die at one point. Near end, maybe?

I'll give your character an appearance Chapter Six, cause I've finished Chapter Five but I need to edit it and send it to the other people who've applied with characters. I give them early chapters and other info. You will be added to there tomorrow when I upload Chapter Five.
Shortened the story to three books. I've been really busy so if I have to keep you guys waiting so I don't want you to have to be doing that a lot more.
Give thanks to Newbek for ! See the Latest News section to see what you can get for making one!
Notch.
Chapter Two:
Chapter Two: New and Old "Friends"
((Author's Note: Play this track on loop))
Chapter Three: Chapter Three: When Pigs Fly
Wow."
Then, the island began to fall.

Perpective: Max
Was it just me, or was there a giant mass of land about to hit the village? I looked up and saw a giant sky island falling down.
I hoped no one was on there.
---------------
Perspective: Cameron
"Well, we're about to eliminate you."
"I wouldn't be too sure."
((Author's note: play this on loop))
Here's what he told me; "Let's make a quick trip to the Aether."
Chapter Five:
((Author's note: Play this on loop (Make sure it's quiet; This song is loud): http://www.newground...o/listen/521352 ))

Book Three: The Nightmare
---------
Perspective: Max

Perspective: Cameron
The floor under us turned black and then the room started spinning. Everyone else looked dizzy, too. Drios laughed and I watched through the blurriness as he took of his hood.
The last thing I saw was Notch's face. Chapter Fourteen:

-----------
Perspective: Max
-------------
Perspective: Cameron
-------
Perspective: Steve
No. It was Tanks.
