Elairia was a more or less peaceful realm. Everything knew it's place; animals wandered, creepers crept, and mobs mobbed. But all changed when the Eldrid came; they spread across the face of Elairius like a muderous and depleting plague. They stripped all of the land bare simply to improve their settlements, numbering in the thousands. You may also know them by their name in the Dwarellish tounge, Humans.
The animals had no way of knowing what was happening. But the intelligent mobs were offended by the Eldrid's rampant growth. They needed to strike back. This is the tale of three Blades of Old, Eldrid, magic, and of course, many, many creepers.
Chapter 1
He woke up in his straw bed, thinking of the big day ahead. He was going to the capitol of the Elairian Kingdom, Erecus. Many nights he had wondered of what it would look like, and what he would be Chosen for.
"Jonathan Nightwater, get out of bed and get ready, you know Choosing Day is tomorrow!"
"I know Mom, just give me five minutes!"
John got out of bed and put on his usual garb, a white wool shirt and some leather pants. He ran down the old wooden steps with a creak coming from below with his every step.
"I'm down here Mom! Where'd you put my stuff?"
"Next to the door, give me a minute and we can be on our way to the train depot."
I hope I get picked to be something interesting. Like a soldier, or even a wolfhunter. Hopefully. But with my bad luck I'm likely just to be Chosen to be a farmer, or some other sh!tty job.
By the time he was done with his thought, his mom was alrady at the door.
"Ready?"
"Yes."
And so they headed out onto the gravel streets, walking closer to the Depot with every step. As usual, when they walked through the markets, they heard snippets of the other language people spoke in the Kingdom, his mom called it Yemmish.
Such strange words, he thought as they walked through the market.
"We're here!"
"Already Mom?"
"Yes, it doesn't take that long, but be ready for a lot of boredom."
"Can I go now?"
"Yes John, just... just be careful out there, you never know what you'll find," and with this a tear appeared in the corner of her eye, prompting John to leave for fear of getting held back.
Chapter 2
Jonathan stepped into the old train and walked to his seat, B7. When he looked over to sit down in the wool padded seat, he was rather surprised to find his friend Alice; a rather pale brown-haired and green-eyed girl, sitting there.
"Hey Alice!" "John, what in the Nether are you doing here?"
"I could ask the same of you," with that he sat down and put his large brown leather sack next to him, "So, how's it going?"
With a fine conversation going, they wasted the time away talking of the Choosing, and things to come.
Now as a reader, you may be slightly stumped on what the Choosing Ceremony is. If so, the please continue to read. If not, then please go and skip ahead. The Choosing Ceremony is where children at the age of sixteen are "Chosen" by Guildmasters to join one of the many guilds in the world of Elairia. John is hoping to join the Soldiers Guild, of which will be very unlikely. Read on.
Chapter 2 almost finished!

If you're going to comment, I would much rather prefer constructive criticism, not just "It's good," or "It sucks." Make sense?
