Noogail, Journal entry one
There have been rumors of something, different.
People are actually scared of this. But I do not fear, I question. As a miner I have seen things no one could ever imagine. I've seen fellow Testificates slowly go insane in the caves. My best friends, slowly dying on the inside without even realizing it.
I've seen the very soul of the lost, walking through the mines. Wondering if there is a way out. Some, I recognize as acquaintances, others as family.
But this!? A simple rock in the walls causing rumors? Yes, I wonder what is so special about this ore. It is told that the Testificate who came across this rock fell at the sight of it. He didn't leave, he just stood there... starring at it.
Some say he's still there.
I'm going to try to find it, I may never return. But the questions flowing through my head are just killing me!
