Hello everyone! I'm starting a new Minecraft fan-fiction called "Battle of the Nether".I know, I know, the title sounds a little lame, but I'll try my best to make the story as interesting as possible! It won't be that good at all, but it has a special feature! The character screen!. I hope you enjoy the action and little bits of comedy in the story! Joe Chief Pigalton ???
Prologue
The small quarrel between the zombie Pigmen and the rest of the Nether species, had been turned into war. Just because of the stubbornness of the species, and who got most control over the awesome nether fort, thousands were dying. Yeah sure, some of them died from heat stroke, but most of them got killed... The blazes and few Ghasts, had easily captured the fort from the fleeing Pigmen using the art of surprise. The Pigmen had already prepared a small hidden refuge camp, where they fled towards. Praying for a miracle, the Pigmen went to arms and prepared for another attack.
The fight went on for a while, but the blazes had the upper hand. They controlled the fort and had the power of the enslaved Ghasts who were forced to wear chains and fire there charges repeatedly at the Pigmen. The durability of the golden swords that the Pigmen wielded, and their lack of experience with deflecting large flaming bombs, made them easy targets for the Ghasts. The Ghasts had already blown up most of the cross bridge that led towards the fort, along with some Pigmen. The fight was worthless, the Pigmen terribly lost, and the dumb pigs that they are, couldn't think of a strategy.
In the Pigman camp. while eating lunch, something very strange happened. Very strange indeed. A 5x4 rectangular portal, made out of obsidian, crashed into the middle of the camp. After a few seconds, an arm of a Human popped out of the portal, with clothes covering it, then more of a body, then even more... And so it begins.
Chapter One
Joe rushed home from school, Summer vacation was finally here! He ran home, tripped, fell then continued home. Joe's brown hair, that matched with his eyes, moved as he ran. Why the rush? Joe had finally found diamonds in the new game he bought, Minecraft. Reaching home, Joe rushed to his room and sat down on his comfy chair, turning on his computer. After running Minecraft, Joe entered his world. Getting his iron pickaxe in the large house he made, Joe ran down his mine and followed the redstone trail that led to his new found diamonds. He mined them up and got 3 in total from the small vein.
After crafting a new and improved diamond pickaxe, Joe wondered if he could finally destroy that cursed purplish, black block that was always near water and lava. Going down his mine once more, Joe found some of those blocks, and started mining them. Finding out that it was called "Obsidian". Joe got about 20 blocks of it, and then went back up to the surface world. He couldn't make any tools or armour about of it so he surfed the "Minecraft Wiki" and found out what the purpose of these blocks were, Joe found out about the Nether and Nether portals. Learning that he could enter a second dimension, Joe instantly started to construct a Nether portal. Completing the frame of the portal, Joe lit one of the bottom blocks on fire with some of his flint and steel, which made the middle of the frame, fill with a purplish flat....Thing. Joe looked up at the floating camera that took a picture of him and the work that he was proud of. That's when the weird stuff happened. When Joe tried to go in the portal, purple dust floated all around his screen. The weird thing was that, not only was the dust floating in the game... But in real life to...
Chapter Two
More of the purplish dust leaked out of the screen until it surrounded the whole room. Joe's vision started to get blurry and he started to loose balance. Joe was about to get out of his room. but then all of a sudden, 2 large purple tentacles came right out of the portal from the screen then into real life. One of the tentacles zapped out and grabbed Joe's arm while the other grabbed around his waist. Joe was getting slowly pulled into the screen. The computer screen started to get a liquid like look. As if it was water and you dropped something in it. The tentacles finally pulled Joe's arm first into the screen, then the rest of his body. Joe got dragged into the Minecraft world, and into the portal.
The Pigmen stared at Joe, wondering what he was. Joe heard a few grunts and oinks from the Pigmen.
"What?" Joe asked.
A scientific looking Pigman, wearing a white coat and goggles, gave Joe a Bluetooth type ear plug. Joe reluctantly placed it on his ear, and then he heard a burst of voices.
"You think he is the one?"
"What is it?"
"Will it help with the war?"
Joe was as confused as ever. He looked at his clothes and realized that he looked exactly like his Minecraft character, blocky arms and all.
Joe tried to talk.
"Where am I..?" Joe asked.
"Nether" An old Pigman, with a large beard replied.
"You must be the saviour..."
"Saviour?" Joe asked.
"Yes, a person who saves people, obviously." The old Pigman told Joe.
"Yes, I know what that means, but a saviour from what?" Joe asked.
"From the Blazes and Ghasts!" The old Pigman said.
"Aren't those creatures of the Nether, as well as you zombie Pigmen?" Joe asked.
The old Pigman sighed and turned towards the crowd of Pigmen that gathered around the portal,
"We have a dumb one here, go back to your lunc-"
A large Ghast, chained up and rode by a Blaze, shot a large fireball at the old Pigman. Joe's reflexes kicked in, and he instantly drew a sword. jumped in front of the old Pigman and deflected the ball of flame towards the Blaze riding the Ghast. Miss. The Ghast fired multiple bolts on the tents, burning them to the ground.
"H-how could they have found our hidden refuge!" The old Pigman shouted.
The Pigmen refugees scrambled into seperate directions, having no idea where they were going to. Joe ran alongside The old Pigman.
"My name is Chief Pigalton if you ever wondered" Said the old Pigman
"I'm Joe, I guess I can help you with your problem, I brought a few supplies from the surface world, or whatever it's called"
"So... I guess I'll explain everything after we run away from this Ghast" Pigalton said as he turned a corner, and accidently dodged the flaming fireball behind him. Joe and Pigalton ran into a small cave on a hill where they took shelter until the Ghast would hopefully leave.
Chapter Three
Pigalton and Joe came out of the cave when they knew for sure that the Ghast was gone. When stepping outside, they saw multiple blazes flying around, scouting for more Pigmen possibly. The cave was on top of a hill which gave the two a nice view.
"Who's that?" Joe pointed at an armoured figure, who seemed to be ordering Blazes and Ghasts where to scout and what to do. He seemed like a leader.
"Oh my god... I have no idea" Chief Pigalton replied.
"But I do know that we have to save the rest of the Pigmen, and regroup."
"Luckily, I brought weapons and quite a few supplies from the Overworld" Joe told Pigalton
The two sneaked out of the cave, trying not to be seen from the multiple Blazes spread out in an organized pattern. Trying to remember where the other Pigmen went, Pigalton led Joe towards a small hole that seemed to be dug into the ground. After Pigalton and Joe leaped into the hole, they found a small group of cowering Pigmen, huddling in a corner of the small hole.
"This way" Chief Pigalton led the group of Pigmen, and Joe to even more Pigmen, until they had almost the whole camp with them. But... This amount of Pigmen made a lot of noise... Well there weren't too much Pigs but there was a fat one amongst the group. Chief Pigalton found the rest of the Pigmen and led them to a far away location which hopefully wouldn't be found by any enemies.
The tall armoured figure from earlier appeared right in front of Pigalton.
"Going somewhere?"
The man instantly drew his sword and slashed it towards Joe, knowing that he was the largest threat. Joe barely dodged the swing, but the sword knocked off his translator. Joe suddenly started to hear oinks and snorts all around him. The tall man threw 2 stones on the ground, which instantly grew into Blazes, then he left. Joe eventually bested the Blazes, then followed Pigalton once more so they could regroup the Pigmen. And so Joe could finally find some answers.

this is a great book. But why only blazes, ghasts, and pigs? What about magma cubes and wither skeletons?
the wither skeletons could ally with the pigs.
