Peacekeeeper, guardian, friend. All of these words describe the Iron Golems, the peacekeepers of the Kingdom Of Obsidia and its surrounding provinces.Strong, helpful, and willing to give their lives to protect Obsidia and her people. These being have become as much a part of legend as the Great Creator God himself.Yet how did these hulking beasts become the guardians we know them as today? It all began in the early ages when Obsidia's mighty walls were first bulit by the creator to house and protect the first settlers of Obsidia. The Creator God's magic torchlights repelled most of the monsters that came seeking to devour the settlers, yet some monsters made it through, and the creator was forced to fight them off himself. Twenty were killed in the first night alone, many more died the next night, each time the creator was forced to fight the hordes of monsters until daytime came and they vanished. The villagers were suffering, and the creator heard and listened to each one of their prayers, he knew that something needed to be done. The Creator spent hours in his overlook, the settlers seeing and feeling the powerful magics being used by the creator in Creator in his endeavor to construct a protector for his people, one that could hold back the hordes of monsters in the night. It wasnt until sunset that the villagers saw the creator again, he stood in the town centre, poised and confident as he presented the first Iron Golem to the masses. At first, the people were scared, looking at the giant, menacing golem, they thought that it would destroy them all. One villager was brave enough to approach the giant, and looked up at the mass of stone and iron that would defend them. The golem turned its massive head down and looked at the villager, it bent over and picked a red flower from the ground then held it out to the villager in a clear gesture of friendship. In that moment, the friendship between the villagers and the Iron Golems was cemented for life. With perfect timing, as the sun had set and nighttime was upon them, every villager had retreated to the secure bunker to wait out until morning. The creator and the Iron Golem stood together in the empty square, ready to fight, monsters had begun to appear around the city, the creator gave the golem one last look of approval and ran to the bunker to protect the people. That night, no one died, no one was even harmed, for hours the Iron Golem fought the hordes of monsters without tiring. When the sun rose, the piles of remains dissapeared, and the villagers stepped from the bunker, feeling safe for the first time. From that day forth the Iron Golems had become the Official Peacekeepers of Obsidia( after the creator made more of course). The Golems since then have evolved, and have formed a society all of their own from their home in the Eastern Highlands, they have been a nessceity for the continued survival of our people, (SEE Ender Wars) and a trusted ally. There is no doubt the impact the Iron Golems have had on our world have been for the better, and that the friendship between the villagers and the golems will last for eternity.
